Excellent donut place! I went in with high expectations cuz people be raving about this place. And my expectations met and exceeded!!
Service is friendly and so attentive. I ask a few questions since it's my first time there and she was so patient and gave super good recommendations too.
I got the cream puff which is so delightful, a ham and cheese croissant which is buttery and savory ooooof so good, a simple glazed donut which is soft and airy and a strawberry donut which is cake like in texture and deliciously sweet. To make things better she threw in a few donut holes for me. A few didn't make it home cuz I couldn't wait. They are so good too! And fun to eat.
Another thing I wanna point out. I really appreciate the attention to detail. If you see the photo, she barriered the powered sugary cream puff from the savory item. Everything is also placed so neatly and just so nice to look at before digging in.
The place is not big which gives cozy vibes. Very clean, the display case is shiny and arranged so beautifully.Helpful 3Thanks 3Love this 2Oh no 0 - T T.Citrus Heights, CA1118196Mar 22, 2024
This was such a major disappointment. I ordered via Uber Eats and I had fairly high expectations. I typically purchase donuts from Master Donuts in Citrus Heights. BJ Cinnamon's twists are clearly smaller, as well as the apple fritter. That was a bummer. Also, the grease is old. You can taste it in the twist as well as the fritter. The fritter was a bit too long in the grease. There is definitely a crunch, which is great, but the fritter wasn't good. Then of course is the flavor of the grease. It's obviously old. IYKYK.
The cronut was nice, but don't get the frosted ones, just get the glazed. The crispy outside is delightful!
Finally, the reason I will never order from here again, the cinnamon roll was absolutely atrocious. The dough didn't rise, it was between 1/4 to 1/2 inch tall. For reference, Cinnabon's Cinnamon Roll measured 2 1/4 - 3 inches tall. I do expect something better for my money. Additionally, the dough was dried out, and overly soaking in butter (probably to hide old cinnamon rolls? Ew.) I took the smallest bite, and threw the rest out. Its revolting. Oh well. Nutshell- get a glazed cronut or raspberry twist. Skip the rest.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 19, 2024
This place is money!!! The staff is super friendly. From the outside it looks like a normal donut shop.
I was traveling for work and had an overnight in Folsom. I was in charge of dinner for a training I was facilitating. I could not settle for just simple donuts so I turned to Yelp and found this spot. It is in a somewhat of a plaza super easy to find.
It seems to be a pretty busy joint which I love. If it's busy it means it's good most of the time.
It is not just your ordinary donut shop. This shop has different types of cinnamon rolls, I ordered one and it was so fluffy and delicious. They also offer these churro croissants. Croissants that are sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. I also got about 12 cream puffs. So good. Normally we get leftovers donuts but not that day. They all were happily enjoyed. I am so bummed I didn't take any pics. I will definitely be back for sure.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Hillary F.Clovis, CA40367698May 17, 2024
This place has become our staple breakfast joint every time we are in the Roseville-Folsom area. We have been to Roseville around three times in the past 4 months and their cinnamon rolls never disappoint. My personal favorite is the pecan cinnamon roll and the size is big enough to be shared but let's be honest "I eat the whole thing myself ." My kids love the donuts and croissants. The croissants come in the different kinds sweet and savory. Service is fast and friendly.

Very good donuts overall. Great variety. They offer warm cinnamon rolls but the Pecan Cinnamon Rolls are the BOMB! They add delicious candied pecans and drizzle warm caramel sauce on top of the regular cinnamon rolls. Oh so delicious!!
We have tried their custard filled donuts with chocolate, old fashioned donuts, crullers, glazed raised donuts, cream filled and all were delicious!
We also love that this is very obviously a family runs business and they care about the quality of the items they serve! We try to stop by here whenever we go past Folsom to or on the way home from South Lake Tahoe!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Oct 20, 2021Previous reviewBeen here several times on our drives to and from South Lake Tahoe. Everything we tried here was great. Good flavor and textures. The seasonal glazed pumpkin cake donut was tender, flakey and had good flavor. The raised glazed donuts had the right amount of chewy airy texture with just the right amount of glaze on top. We've also had the cake donuts, old fashioned donuts, donut holes and the creme puffs.
The old fashioned donuts had the right amount of crunch with a light layer of chocolate. This is not easy as the old fashioned donuts have to be glazed when they are still piping hot out of the fryer or the donuts will have a thick layer of chocolate and overwhelm the old fashioned donut. The creme puffs were our least favorite item. Still good, but there are tastier choices here!
The best item here is always the hot cinnamon roll with pecans. I'm not normally a pecan eater but the pecans have a nice toasted crunch with light glaze on them. The wonderful cinnamon flavor with the soft tender dough and frosting are heavenly paired with the toasted pecans.
My son won't eat pecans so we got him the one without pecans on two occasions, and it just doesn't compare. Not sure why but getting the pecan version and picking them out is the far better choice as it just tastes much better.
Thank you BJ Cinnamon, we will definitely be back - Mar 31, 2024Updated review
Nice to have a local donut shop where service, and food are quality. The donuts here are carefully prepared and even more thoughtfully served. The goodies in the case move quickly so you know you are getting the freshest items available. Today the buttermilk bar was perfect. Generous size and perfectly prepared. The donut holes aren't pictured but were throughly enjoyed. The plain cake donuts were tasty and flavorful. If you are in the mood for a fresh local treat, I highly recommend BJ Cinnamon.
Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Jun 30, 2019Previous reviewButtermilk bar was tasty but the raised glaze donut had no taste. It was light, airy and evenly coated with a light glaze but there was no distinct taste altogether, no notes of yeast, salt, nothing. Didn't finish it. The lemon filled donut was good my daughter said. Unfortunately there were no complimentary donut holes this time, maybe the summer help isn't allowed to give them. Will try other places in Folsom and beyond.

Went on a Monday morning around 8:15am. Wasn't too busy, there were about 4 ladies behind the counter and they keep the line down. They have a great selection of donuts, cinnamon rolls and breakfast sandwiches. I ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches - turkey, bacon, egg & cheese croissant (5a on the menu); 2 maple croissant donuts; 2 maple old fashions, 1 glaze, & they tossed in some donut holes. The sandwiches are good but could use a sauce (my opinion - they're still good without). Those croissant donuts are out of this world! A must try for sure. Will definitely be back.

BJ Cinnamon did not let me down! I saw them on Yelp's Top 100 Donut List and new I had to give them a try. They are your average hike in the wall neighborhood donut shop but with a twist.
They had a nice variety of donuts everything from raised, cake to old fashioned and apple fritters. They also make scones which come in a few flavors (blueberry, raspberry, orange), this was definitely nice to see. They also are famous for their homemade cinnamon rolls. They have the regular cinnamon rolls, apple cinnamon rolls and pecan sticky buns.
I've been here quite a few times and I have to say that I'm actually hooked on their raspberry scones. They are nice and fluffy, have lots of fresh raspberry flavor, lightly glazed and are one of the best scones I've ever had. I also tried their pecan sticky bun with a side of their cream cheese icing and this was delicious as well, fresh and fluffy, moist and best when smeared warm.
I wish I had the stomach space to try one of their many breakfast sandwiches because they have a wide variety of them and they look so yummy. I will definitely be back for those and to give some of their donuts a try. I highly recommend trying them out, you will not be disappointed!Helpful 9Thanks 1Love this 6Oh no 0Jan 6, 2023Previous reviewBJ Cinnamon did not let me down!
