We are seniors and lack the knowledge or expertise to know what the problem really was. He could have told us that we had a major issue and
we would not know the difference. How often does that happen?
And the techincan ( Eysick ?) I might have got his name wrong was terrific.
Professional, followed all the current safety protocol guidelines , answered all our questions and made some great recommendations. Thank you.
With all that is going on in our world today it's a blessing to find a company that is reliable and honest.

We needed to replace 2 old a/c units at our house and got 5 different quotes and we went with Black Mtn based on price. Since then we have them out 2x a year for a furnace and a/c checkup with no issues or problems. Scheduling and communication is really easy with them and they always arrive as promised and on time. We've had Yannick and Mike out and they are both very friendly, I definitely recommend them!

They used to good be good
But seems they have gotten Money Hungry.
Had an issue with my A/C Heater Unit
Some Wiring had to be Tidied up a bit.
They said they couldn't do it but would gladly sell me a New Unit. Called another company, they came out the Next day. Cleaned everything up and Charged $75

Mike, this is Todd the owner of Black Mountain Air.
I did some digging, and I couldn't find any record of a Mike P since 2022, and the details you've provided don't seem to match our past work since we did do a repair for that guy. It's possible you might have mistaken us for another company. I'd really appreciate it if you could give our office a call so we can clear up any confusion.
Since most people skip to read one star reviews I’ll take this as a chance to personally clarify to any potential customers how much value all of us put into honest, high integrity, quality work.We go above and beyond whenever possible. I can assure anyone reading this that every single person at this company values honesty over a sale.
We may offer a new system if we think putting money into an older, outdated system is a bad idea and not in your best interest. Any way it happens, if your unit is junk we will tell you. If it’s repairable we will tell you. We call it like it is. A 5 stars installation!
Black Mountain is a very good company. They are honest in their dealing with me, for the last 9 years as my bi-annual checkup for my HVAC, and I'm sure with other customers as well.
From estimates to installation everyone was highly professional and with transparency. Office manager, Kyra, was on the ball 100%.
Any time I have a question she is able to give an answer immediately or she checks with her sources and get back to me asap. She is Very efficient.
The installation crew, Tyler, Brandon, Mike and Mikie, were very professional, friendly, courteous and answered any questions I have. Attention to details in every aspect of the installation process were top notch. Best of all they worked well together.

Wow! 3 years of having this company and I have to write a review.
1. We have 3 new units they installed and they are a great value for installs
2. We have had a couple of minor issues which Todd who I believe is the owner quickly resolved and paid personal attention to. He is an outstanding business operator and owner that takes excellent care of his customers and does it without making it hard in the customer.
3. Office staff answers the phone every time and takes care of the issues immediately never have to wait to know when they are coming.
4. Honest and fair. They are honest people who are fair and reasonable in their pricing. Can't say enough about honesty these days.
5. Techs. Every single person I have dealt with has been exceptional. Without a doubt the most consistent quality people I have met in the business.
6. Company culture. From an outsider looking in, I have to say that everyone there seems happy to do their job and cares about the customers.

We've been using Black Mountain Air for our HVAC tune-ups for two years now. We changed from a previous company that couldn't show up for appointments or return calls. We've not had any of these problems with Black Mountain. Yannick has been out a few times now and does a great job, I like that consistency with seeing same technician. He is pleasant, polite, and explains things when needed. He is definitely an asset to the Black Mountain Air team. We highly recommend them......

I am extremely dissatisfied with the way I was treated by this company. They came out for a service call my upstairs was freezing and the thermostat was supposed to be off. I have a newborn baby, my electrical bill doubled because there was something wrong and they said everything was normal. The next day I called with the same issue and they scheduled an appointment and then called me back to say they wouldn't be able to come because an "emergency" call came up. I spoke with the owner who you would think would take responsibility for the issue and left us completely frustrated. I will never recommend or use this company again do yourself a favor take your business elsewhere.

Hi Chris, we apologize if our service in early July wasn’t up to your expectations. On the initial visit we did, we know it could be an intermittent issue since things were operating fine in front of us, and advised that you call us back if it happened again. When your wife did call back seven days later, we let you know we could come out the next day but since this wasn’t soon enough for your situation, we refunded you so you could find someone who was available.
Since your home was built more recently, we also recommend contacting the original installer as they are going to have more familiarity with how the system was set up and possibly service the unit under warranty; this option would save you money as well.
I am very sorry if next-day service and a full refund in the high heat of the summer for a unit we didn’t install is not acceptable service. Please let us know what we tangibly could have done better for you. - Megan H.Las Vegas, NV02Jul 25, 2023Updated review
In all honesty... hands down the BEST company I've ever dealt with! From the people who answer the phones to the technicians that come out to do the work, I've never had a bad experience with this company. We had air conditioning problems about 2 years ago, someone came out a few days later and had the problem fixed within a few hours (or so we thought). When I called back to say the problems had come back, the woman I spoke with was so apologetic and sincere. It made me feel like she personally cared about mine and my family's well being. She said the technician would come out the very next day.
Then the dreaded news, we needed to replace the unit. We knew the units were old when we bought the house but we thought that they might last longer than they did. We weren't able to replace them right away but now that we are able to replace them, the first people I thought to call was black mountain air.
Again, the person I spoke to on the phone was friendly and got someone out a few days after I called for a quote. The technician that came out was also friendly and respectful and, after a long 2 year wait, we are FINALLY getting our new units.

Not only were the office staff friendly when answering the phone when we called looking for help, but the technicians they sent out were helpful and friendly as well! They were always on time and always tried to help us as best as they could. We have older units, which I know can be harder to work with to begin with but they always took their time and always tried to find a solution to our problem.

I was able to set up an appointment, online, through their website, that very night, for the next day. The technician, Mason, showed up, within the time window I was given and had the unit up and running in 10 minutes. So I agree with the neighborhood, fantastic company, easy to schedule, competent and knowledgeable staff, and trustworthy on top of all that! 5 stars all the way.

Black Mountain Air has taken care of my air conditioning repairs three times over the last few years. I've been pleased with their service and work each time.
My most recent repair was in June. We returned from a weekend away to find that our upstairs unit was out.
Black Mountain has online booking so I immediately made an appointment that way. On a Sunday evening I was able to get an appointment for Tuesday afternoon. This was in the middle of 110+ degree temperatures so I was worried the wait would be longer.
Robert arrived on Tuesday afternoon and I was glad to see him. He's the same technician that repaired my air conditioning a year prior. I like his honest, no pressure approach.
Robert took a look and determined the part that caused the problem. He was honest with me that the unit was now working. He let me know that the repair would be $600, but asked if I wanted to wait since the unit was working. I decided to go ahead with the repair since my toddler was refusing to sleep in the only bedroom with air conditioning and my parents were coming for a 10 day visit. I felt good about that decision and with spending the money because Robert wasn't pushy.
It was such a hot day and Robert got right to work in the attic. He had everything done in about an hour.
It was the best experience I could ask for with a broken air conditioning unit. I'm so appreciative that Robert was able to assess the problem and complete the repair so quickly.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0Business owner information

I first called this company when one of my air conditioning units started making crazy noises. I didn't want to wait for the unit to break so I called first thing the next morning. The technician was able to be at my house that afternoon. Of course the unit stopped making the noise. The technician was nice and said it was probably the motor, but that he didn't want to start charging me to replace parts without being sure of the problem. He advised that I should take video next time it happened and then call them back. Great idea! I only had to pay $60 for the service call.
Scheduling for the return visit was just as friendly and easy. The woman I talked to this time was much more friendly than other businesses I've called before. This time my appointment was the following afternoon. I totally understood since now we were deeper into summer. I'm sure priority goes to customers that have air conditioning that is completely out.
A different technician arrived as scheduled. I wish I remembered his name because he was professional and polite. I showed him the video of the air conditioning noises. He looked at the unit, determined it was the motor, and gave me an exact cost before making the repair. The service call cost I had already paid was deducted from the overall cost. The best part was that the technician had the part in his vehicle and completed the repair in less than 30 minutes.
I truly hope I don't need to call for air conditioning repair again soon, but they'll be my first choice if I have the need again.
