Liar and a thief! This contractor presented himself as a professional, but allowed his business license to lapse in the period between signed contract and start of project. He took a deposit and started the job but went days without showing up at the job site. He took more money, and failed to place the orders with local door, flooring, and cabinet stores for his clients. Shortly before Christmas he went AWOL. Now the project is started, but there is no contractor. BNT is costing time and money for a home remodel that he walked away from with no notice. Shameful behavior. Just about everything BAD, BAD, BAD you've ever read about a contractor is what this guy represents. The living embodiment of a gutless, money-hungry, wretched human being.

BNT Construction's license was suspended in Aug '21, yet, owner, Bruce Kelting, continued to illegally bid and take jobs. He also is neither insured nor bonded. His work is very poor quality; he takes shortcuts, and uses unlicensed subs. His work is shoddy and not code. He vented my washer into a wall, and my dryer under my house. No permits. He is reckless, careless, and messy. He damaged my home and property and several possessions. He put me and my pet at risk. He takes no responsibility and blames workers, though they worked without supervision. He did not provide proper barriers and cut into 1913 woodwork without testing for lead, spewing lead paint dust throughout my house. He peeled up asbestos flooring with no protections, and left hundreds of nails sticking up out of my floor. He would not provide an estimate, a contract, or an accounting for the deposit he insisted on having so he could "pay the help," though I requested these from day one, and nearly every day after that, and he promised to provide. He has not paid any of his workers or subs, to date, stiffed them all at Christmas. Now is filing bankruptcy even though my deposit, which he has kept while ghosting me, would have paid everybody. Instead he spent my deposit on personal expenditures over Christmas. This contractor was also granted a PPP loan in March for payroll. Worst experience ever. Will cost me tens of thousands of dollars to repair damage he did in 6 weeks.
