Bodian Dermatology and Medical Day Spa

I have been seeing Dr. Bodian every few months for Botox and Fillers, and always extremely pleased with the entire office staff, as they are very caring and professional toward their patients.
Dr. Bodian has a terrific bedside manner, explains every proceedure, and always pleasant and understanding.
I highly recommend Dr. Bodian!

I could not speak more highly about the entire staff at this practice. Mary has been amazing with clearing up my skin. Myriam gives the most wonderful facials and truly cares about her clients. The entire staff is very personable, kind, and caring. I am so glad I was recommended this practice as I have found with other derms I have gone to in the past that they do not care as much as this wonderful staff.

I went to him on the recommendation of one of my doctors. I have some Sebaceous Hyperplasia (raised white spots, kinda related to acne) on my face that I wanted to get rid of. One the day of my procedure, his assistant applied a topical anesthesia. We waited for some time, maybe 45 min. Next, Bodian came in and started to apply what I guess was a laser to my face. It stung like hell, and I could smell my skin burning. When I told him it hurt, he was quite annoyed, saying that the topical should have worked. To proceed with the session, he suggested that I have injections of yet another anesthesia, but after a few painful shots and then yet more removal of the spots, I asked him to stop.

My face was on fire for a few days after -- blisters everywhere. I tried Vaseline all over. I washed it off and then my entire face was puffy and sore. And then the scarring happened: small, dead-white scars (I'm a white woman, Irish complexion) that are permanent. And, outside of the Sebaceous Hyperplasia, I have had pretty beautiful skin all my life: stayed out of the sun for over 40 years.

The strangest weirdness occured at the end of the procedure. I told him I hated the entire procedure: he told me that these "things" would come back and that I would be back to see him -- full confidence on his part.

Bottom line: I have no idea why Bodian decided to do this procedure even when I told him it hurt and even when I could smell burning flesh. My flesh. My face. NEVER would I use him again.

I had the most wonderful facial with Myriam. She is amazing. My skin is glowing and feels so soft. Myriam uses the best products for sensitive skin. She also shapes my eyebrows and they look great. The spa has a warm and inviting atmosphere.

I've been seeing Myriam Castillo for electrolysis since May of this year.I'm loving the results thus so far.She is very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating.Myriam is a professional and is amazing at what she does which is magic with skin.I would highly recommend giving her a try for your skin care needs.Her receptionist Elvira is also the sweetest.

I went for minor acne and Dr. Bodian tried to sell me office mixed Rx instead of prescribing to pharmacy, even though I requested medication covered by insurance. As soon as I was checking out, the clerk said "it's $110 but it's very good and last a long time, I use the same creme". I perceived that the staff is trained to upsell their products. I politely declined and requested insurance covered Rx, which they explained it's the same medicine, at lower strength and not mixed with a lightening cream; we agreed they would send the Rx to pharmacy. I went to the pharmacy 2 days later and found nothing was sent int. I called their office, and once again the pitch started: I can only get the medicine from their office and not the pharmacy, etc. After back and forth, the finally agreed to handle. I went to the pharmacy about 5 days later and found they sent in a prescription that is not covered by insurance. I called the office, explained my experience and told them that I am not coming back for treatment as I can't trust their services. I wasted my time and co-pay.

I had a great experience with Maria at Bodian dermatology. She did some work to remove some lumps and bumps on my face and the result was excellent. She was extremely knowledgable, competent, skilled and as nice as could be. I highly recommend the practice!

Dr. Bodian and his staff literally saved my skin. I was a typical teenager with all the uncontrollable bumps and blemishes that came along with puberty. With all the creams and attention needed, Dr. Bodian has cleared up my skin and made me feel comfortable for the first time in a long time. Highly recommend!

Horrible practice. You wait a 1/2 hour to an hour to see the doctor and they only stay with you for 10 minutes. The medications I was prescribed for my skin condition didn't even work. It's clear this office doesn't have any bedside manners and they do not care about their clients. All they want to do is write prescriptions and give you their overpriced products. do yourself a favor and see a dermatologist who actually cares about their patients.

He's a good doctor, helped me a lot with me and my brothers skin. We've been trying to find someone for a couple months now. He was nice and helpful. The people at the front were also very nice and patient. Highly recommend him!
