No one I know likes going to eye doctor appointments, but at least its not the dentist! Dr. Elkin and his friendly team make an eye appointment as pleasant as possible.
The process for new patients is very streamlined. You call for an appointment, and then make sure to go online and fill out the new patient forms. This will speed you through the process when you arrive at the office. I was even able to purchase my new glasses while my eyes were being dilated. I hate wasting time!
All and all, a great experience, with people that actually care about you.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 24, 2015First to Review
So glad I finally changed eye doctors.
Everyone in Dr. Elkins' West Hills office has been super friendly and helpful. Massive parking lot, as there are many other medical offices right near the hospital, informative web site, and not long wait times.
The opticians were also helpful and they actually had a pair of super cute glasses that I got for a decent price with my insurance.
As an eye doctor's office, it's hard to get too excited, but all aspects of my experiences here have been great. There's not much else one can ask for!Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Alexa E.Nashville, TN505413Oct 14, 2017
Dr. Elkins is the top eye doctor in California. I've been going to him for over 10 years. His office provides the forefront in eye health and visual technology. I suffer from vasovagal reflex (I will faint if my eyes get dilated) and he and his staff went out of their to ensure my comfort and wellbeing. He provides the most thorough eye exams.
A special thank you to Chantel, part of Dr. Elkins wonderful team and medical professionals for your caring and compassion!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Robert S.Las Vegas, NV06Oct 3, 2017

Dr. Elkins is an excellent doctor & I felt instantly comfortable with him. The problem I had, is I arrived for my appointment on time, but they were not ready. Due to a pain problem, I had told them about, I couldn't sit & wait. After some confusion with the insurance, they took me right in. There were a lot of different technicians, & they each did their job efficiently & were very pleasant. The problem is, it took a total of about 3 hours to have a normal eye exam. At the end, the man at the check out started helping me, & then he helped the person in line behind me. I spent 20 minutes just getting my prescriptions. One for contact lenses & one for glasses. I got so frustrated with the young man at the check out, I said, " just E-Mail it to me",
& I left.
Dr. Elkins is GREAT, so I hope he reads this comment, & speeds up the time it takes to get an eye exam in his office. I was in a lot of pain, but 3 hours is too long to take to do a regular eye exam.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Joan E.WOODLAND HLS, CA76May 16, 2019
My family and I have been going to Dr. Elkins for years. He is an excellent opthalmologist and surgeon. He operated on my husband and me for cataracts with no problems. He is highly qualified.
