I have been to this dentist 2 and a half times (will get to the half shortly). The first time was a normal cleaning and everything went fine. I was able to get some of my concerns addressed such as teeth whitening and some other issues both cosmetic and not. They really are concerned with your comfort (they will ask you to raise a hand during the procedure if any discomfort arises).
My issue is not with the dentist. If you are looking for a new dentist and are local, I would say look into them. My first minor issue: cost. Like others have said, they are more expensive because they do things that they don't necessarily have to. But I want pretty teeth, so I was fine with paying a little more. This wasn't a huge problem for me, though I couldn't go see them for a few months do to my financial situation.
So, fast forward a little and it is about 1 year since my visit. I moved about 1.5 hours away, but I still wanted to go to them because 1. the area where I live now sucks and 2. I didn't feel like taking the time to find a dentist that I liked and risking a bad procedure.
So I call and get an app. set up, drive all the way there, only to find out that someone somewhere messed up and didn't write me in. I even checked my phone log and yes-I did call the correct number. My boyfriend remembers me doing so as well. And I don't think I was rude about the issue, but I would have appreciated more concern about this or some explanation as to why this happened. Maybe someone new messed up?

Dr. Briglia alleviated the stress that comes with dental procedures. The staff are friendly and Dr. Briglia strives to make you feel comfortable. I had a root canal recently and had almost no pain at all. Swelling was gone in 2 days.
If you want to feel comfortable and experience minimal pain, this is the best place. Dr. Briglia and the staff really make an effort to ease the anxiety. Unprecedented.
During my initial visit, Dr. Briglia and his team went far above and beyond to evaluate my existing oral condition, going so far as analyzing each tooth individually and discussing certain risk factors at that time. This exceptional profiling was complimented by an equally diligent cleanse and polish. Dr. Briglia and his staff are very sensitive to their patients' disposition and I felt I was both physically and emotionally comfortable during the entire experience.
During my second visit Dr. Briglia spent more minutes working with me personally than minutes I have spent working with a dentist one-on-one in my entire life. His time is valuable, and I was in disbelief about the caliber of service I received.
Additionally, Dr. Briglia and his staff took time to get to know me and understand developments occurring in my life. Among other things, this included landing on the topic of an upcoming wedding, where we discussed whiting products that might be a great fit leading up to the event. I appreciated the sincerity and thoughtfulness of Dr. Briglia and his staff when connecting with patients interpersonally.
Moreover, Dr. Briglia and his team are very honest and forthcoming and I was able to sense Dr. Briglia's genuine concern when raising the idea of self-administering an at-home oral compression. Needless to say, I trusted his advice.
Like certain other reviews that were posted, I traditionally have either resented or set low expectations for my experiences at he dentist. Meeting with Dr. Briglia and his team opened my eyes to how important oral health is and how important it is to work with best in class talent, including Dr. Briglia and his team. I found myself in West Chester with a chipped tooth. I was eating a sandwich, and the back wall of my molar fell out.
As someone who's honestly pretty scared of doctors (especially the dentist), I was terrified of having to visit the dentist. However, the tooth obviously needed to be fixed, so I gritted my teeth and went to Briglia's Dental Group.
When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised. Instead of what you'd expect from a typical dental office, Briglia Dental Group was actually super nice. Instead of looking really clinical, the space was open, the lighting was clean, and the whole room was a nice yellow color. This is silly, but what really stuck out to me was that they had a fridge with bottles of water for patients, instead of the normal weird dentist little cone cups that patients usually get.
The staff was super friendly, and made sure that I was comfortable.
Dr. Briglia was extremely patient, and explained each step to me as he completed the procedure, which as an anxious person, really helped relieve my fears. He also went above and beyond to make sure that my mouth was properly numbed, and that I did not feel any pain. He repaired the back wall of my molar, and two fillings within an hour. He checked twice to make sure that the fillings didn't sit uncomfortably in my mouth. I was able to eat immediately after, and my tooth feels amazing. Dr. Briglia also showed me before and after pictures of my tooth, which I found really satisfying to look at. (Goodbye, cavity! Hello, new tooth wall).
For the first time, I can honestly say that I felt like my dentist cared about me, AND my teeth. Although I can't say that I will ever look forward to a dentist visit, if I am ever in the area, I know that I will be going back to the Briglia Dental Group!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Not a fan. He's a great dentist to be sure, and even offers sedation. He stayed late to get all the work done that I needed.
The issue I had was their goal of "maximizing your dental benefit". I was provided a multi-year treatment plan in the thousands of dollars. After consulting with 2 other dentists, both stated they understood his plan but that they would prefer to do the work when needed/if needed.
In the 3 years since I've been seeing another dentist, I've had 1 filling repaired and no other issues (savings = $thousands!!). Be careful...Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I have had lots of horrible dentist experiences growing up so I'm extra thankful to have found Dr. Briglia and his team!! From him, to Ashley the hygienist, to Kathy at the front desk- everyone makes you feel super comfortable. Dr. Briglia has reached out to me out of his office hours to check up on how I was doing. He really cares about his patients and it's clear he loves what he does! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Briglia and the team!

It may be easy to find a dentist but seems to be increasingly difficult to find one that combines their technical talent with practical and empathetic care.
I called Dr Briglia with a problem regarding my wheel chair bound 92 yr old mother-in-law who broke a tooth while living in a skilled nursing facility. Before even asking for an appointment Dr Briglia said he would go see her given her situation. He got in his car after a busy day and drove to see her. That evening he called back the letting us know what needed done with practical recommendations.

I guess we can chalk this up along the lines of, "Paying It Forward." Last week an optometrist helped my son who lost his glasses in Florida while attending a training course. I was able to contact an optometrist after hours in which I explained the situation to him. He got in his car to meet my son and gave him a few pairs of trial contact lenses. I was so appreciative and asked the doctor to send me a bill, but he said no, and to just "Pay It Forward" to someone in the future. I am so glad to have done so for you and your mother-in-law. I have been a very happy patient of Briglia Dental Group for the past 10 years. After taking 10 years off from going to the Dentist, I needed some help. Dr. Briglia came up with a plan to get my teeth back in shape. His plan focused on how complete all the work that I needed and my budget. It took around 2 years but my teeth are in great shape and I would strongly recommend Briglia Dental Group. I have always had a positive experience with the dental hygienists and office team. I had tooth pain late in the evening on 12/12/14 and, being relatively new to the area, decided to google Best Dentists in West Chester, PA for a referral. After reading numerous outstanding reviews of Ron Briglia, D.M.D., I decided he was my top choice and so contacted Dr. Briglia by email at 11:30 p.m. hoping he might still be available. Imagine my relief when he responded at 12:30 a.m. on 12/13 saying he would make time for me in the afternoon. Wow! Dr. Briglia put his needs of rest and family above my own and made time for a complete stranger. During my visit, he and Geri, his very capable assistant, proceeded to care for me like family.
As I entered Dr. Briglia's well-appointed office, he immediately put me at ease by engaging in friendly, casual conversation. Then I completed a couple of short forms, and Geri took some x-rays. The process was very low-key, unhurried, and accommodating. After reviewing my x-rays and examining my teeth, Dr. Briglia clearly explained in a forthright manner my options for treating my periodontal issues. I was grateful for his expertise in explaining my options and was willing to get the work done immediately to remedy my pain. Dr. Briglia performed the procedure in a meticulous, flawless, and painless manner with the aid of a numbing agent.
Furthermore, I respect and appreciate Dr. Briglia's professional opinion and any medical provider who consults with me on the very best preventive care/treatment plan for my condition. Also, I would hope any medical provider would respect whatever decision I made to pursue treatment options, just as Dr. Briglia does. I am very grateful to Dr. Briglia for his selfless concern and help and because he cares as much about my dental health as I do.
