We were passing through town on our way home and spotted the antique store. It looked like a very nice and well stocked antique store. We did a U - turn and we were able to find a parking spot right in front of the store. We received a friendly greeting as we walked in and had a lot of fun looking through the very well stocked store. We had limited time so we only made one pass through but I'm sure we missed lots of goodies. It's one of those stores that requires several passes to take everything in. I spotted a wooden statue (I included a picture) that I thought was charming and so he now resides in my home. The store owner was very nice and helpful and I look forward to stopping in again. He said he was very active on Instagram (I'm now following) and is active on FB as well.

I saw that this antique shop had limited hours (Fri and Sat only), so I planned my trip to Pendleton accordingly. I was impressed with the high quality of items, gathered in orderly fashion, that I found here. They aren't a large shop, especially compared to some other "antique" places that are more flea market than vintage and antique. But I was pleased that these items were more appealing without having to spend a lot of time sorting through endless booths.
I was greeted as I entered and had no difficulty finding free street parking nearby.
Note that the prices here aren't the cheapest either. But I attribute that to the pieces being of solid quality and having to cover the cost of running a shop in the downtown area. It's definitely a place to check out if you are a fan of nostalgic items.

I happened to meet Jerry on eBay as I was buying items related to Pendleton Indiana, mainly old yearbooks from my mother's high school, also the school of most of my maternal relatives, so that many of the books had relatives' pictures in them. I finally got to town from San Diego in Oct/Nov of 2007 and went in to meet him and his wife Dixie in person. They were both such nice people! My mother had since passed away so I had lost interest in buying so many books but they still treated me like an old friend. I loved walking around their antique store and seeing all the old furniture, dishes, figurines, dolls, postcards, books--I can't even remember everything they had! I'm sure I was in this store as a child though I don't remember what it was back then.
I got back there in August/Sept of this year and again was received warmly. I had a wonderful stay in the Pendleton area and credit people like the Burmeister's with making me feel "at home" in Indiana. I wish I hadn't been travelling by plane so I could have bought more to bring home.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
