Wonderful experience at this nursery. Their flowers, plants and trees are all healthy and well cared for. The staff is welcoming and very knowledgeable, going out of their way to educate you and help however possible. I definitely recommend this nursery to all of my family and friends.

Did not honor their warranty. We purchased 5 palm trees and numerous plants for our new island. One tree died soon after it was planted. We notified Butchers and they said they would replace it. We only had to pay 200.00 to have them remove the dead tree. IT WAS NEVER DONE! It has been over two years now. BEWARE! My husband ,Glenn and I called and spoke to Jim numerous times and he said dont worry I ordered one for you and I tagged it with your name and will get there to replace it as soon as possible. Well, that was the answer my husband got every time we called. DO NOT BUY FROM BUTCHERS NURSERY, they will not stand by their warranty and their promises.

I would not recommend Butchers. I posted a review through Yelp. I had an arborist look at the install Butchers did for me. He basically said the installs were incorrect and the wrong plants were planted in the incorrect areas, the root balls were not located in the proper place for the particular plants because each had different needs. The landscaping died within 1 year. I put an honest review online with feedback from a botanist and arborist about the install and design plan, which Butchers provided. Then Julie B, the owner responded to the review with a complete fabrication. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe they got the accounts mixed up, but I NEVER requested a refund or replacement from them because I was done dealing with them. Why would I use them twice to poorly install again? She then said they died because of the hurricane. No, they died two years before the hurricane. It was as if she just needed to make up a response because a bad review was posted. The whole response was a complete lie. Just shows what a poor owner will do to save face in light of terrible work and competency. I only reposted to basically say ... Buyer beware!!

We first went to Butchers when we needed to re-landscape our backyard after a large renovation. We were hoping to do the work ourselves after paying significantly for the house renovation but needed expert advise about what to plant.
Enter Jim: he took a fantastic amount of time discussing our lighting, irrigation, and willingness for upkeep. He gave us a wealth of information not only about plant choices but suggestions for how best to reinstall our sprinkler system since we still need to do that after the reno. We were able to install all the plants ourselves per Jim's great instruction and felt great about the job.

6 months later: our landscaping is even better than I had expected! The plants grew beautifully. We went back to get more expert advice on how to now re-landscape our front yard since we are so, so thrilled with the outcome of our backyard. Once again, Jim was there with wonderful suggestions for layering our flowerbeds and we begin installing the plants ourself this week.

Have never visited this site but, at some time in the future there perhaps use their services.

Recently had Julie come to my house to design new landscaping for my yard. She did a complete redesign of my yard after listening to our requests and concerns.
Julie and crew just completed the installation of my new plants and it looks wonderful. All of the plants look fresh and perky! They really care that the plants look good and that we were satisfied.
I would highly recommend their services! P

It's clear from driving by the Nursery that they do a lot of business (trees constantly being loaded for delivery) and that they take good care of their plants (bright colors, healthy plants). So, when I needed some landscaping work, I called them. Jim took time to plan my garden thoughtfully. He and his staff were careful and neat with their work and I can't be more thrilled with the result. Not sure about some of the other reviews here, but they did not reflect my experience at all. In fact, I will be using Butcher's for more work in the future. Ask for Jim and I bet you'll have the same good experience!
