Contacted Sam last Nov (2021) for bids on widening driveway and cementing in the back yard (no grass!). Sam sent me his bid the same day he came to my home (others did not). He started the job(s) when he said he would and completed front and back yard in one week's time. He stayed in constant communication with me before, during, and after completion. He even came out the following week to make sure my sprinkler system had been rerouted correctly. He was upfront with any potential cost changes (if a drain was needed) and he made recommendations to me when I had questions. He was attentive to my wishes. He and his crew were very professional - the crew worked hard and were polite to me when we had interactions.

Friends who come to my house love the finished project and have asked who did my work - a neighbor also came over to get his name. I have already referred him to seven of my friends and had him leave a bunch of business cards for me to give to those who ask.

Well after putting it off for too long we decided to widen our driveway. We would use this strip to unload firewood/stuff also to keep door dings at bay. And in winter it would get real mugly! So I researched and found three contractors for estimates. Anthony from California concrete came by on same day I called. As part of measuring he opened gate to the backyard. It was looking "rough" so he asked if we would like estimate for a walkway, sure why not I figured he's here. After measuring Anthony, who by the was easy going yet very professional, said they would email me both estimates by next day. I received email on same day from Sam at California Concrete! Unlike other two contractors. I chose California Concrete and I'm glad I did. After comparing estimates Sam's was lowest by long shot. I told one contractor Sam's price and he said I'd better make for it included the cement. So I did And Sam said it's complete, out the door price which was about $900.00 cheaper. After rains subsided Sam called on a Monday morning and said we can start in morning might take two days. I said no problem. His crew started before 7:00 next morning and were cleaning up by 1:30 same day! Great workmanship, communication and great price. You'll see in pics if I do it right. I had Sam and a member of his crew come out and give me a bid (estimate) for a concrete slab. I got back to Sam via text after another bid didn't follow through. Sam informed me that he would reach out to me after he looked at the "the schedule" and we haven't heard from him since. I would've really liked to give a 5 stars rating based off of the beautiful Facebook pictures of California Concrete & Design. However, he never got back to us.

We needed a concrete slab for our new outdoor shed. The crew showed up on time, finished quickly and cleaned up the area before they left. They were aware of our extremely tight budget and were happy to work with us for the project. My husband and I confidently recommend this company for your concrete needs. The two-man crew responded to our questions and concerns in a professional manner. We are very happy with their workmanship.
