The most unprofessional towing place i have ever encountered. Even the answering service person was severely rude. I almost died from my accident and i had to come two days in a row because they gave me incorrect information. Tried to charge me an extra day because of this. When i was finally able to see my car we were spoken to so disrespectfully by the staff and told to get out. I would never recommend this place to anyone. You're better off pushing the car off the side of the road by yourself. 0 stars if i could.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! A piece of my exhaust fell off while driving with my 3 boys. My A.C. is busted so we had all the windows down. It was HOT and LOUD! I stopped in and luckily they were able to take my car in. Obviously I was unprepared and had to wait there with the boys for my car to be done. They offered us drinks, restroom, a toy car and even put on a kids show for my 2 year old to stay entertained. Also allowed me to charge my phone. They were beyond accommodating, fair and absolutely amazing!

If we could give this "0" stars we would. We trusted this company to give us an HONEST opinion on a vehicle that we were considering having shipped from Walpole, MA to California for our 16 year old son. This is a car that we were inheriting from a relative and we were willing to put money into for him. Chris's Service Center was helpful with accommodating us by picking up our car and taking it back to the shop to give it a full inspection. We were VERY specific about our intention to ship this to California if it was in good condition and worth being repaired. Unfortunately, the shop was less than truthful with us as we specifically asked if the car was worth putting money into and they told us that the car was worth fixing and was road worthy but needed new brakes, rotors, and a steering rack, among other things. Based on his assessment we had him go ahead and install new breaks, rotors and new battery so that we could have it shipped to Cali....we paid him over $2000.00 to do this work and then paid to have it shipped only to take it to our local mechanic and be told that this car is scrap. Our mechanic sent us pictures of the undercarriage and to our disappointment it was completely rotted out and SHOULD NOT be driven by anybody! This shop only wanted to make a quick buck with no regard to at all. Had they just been honest we would never had brought the car back to California and we would have just donated it locally. Luckily we have an honest mechanic in California who would not do any work on it due to its deterioration. Now we will be donating this to a local salvage company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...BUYER BEWARE!!!

This dump was happy to take my $1600 last month but now refuses to work on my vehicle. Also, a couple of years ago they failed my inspection for some phantom problem with the front end. I took it somewhere else and it passed just fine. I'll never go there or recommend them again. Horrible treatment of a customer.

The other work that I was billed for was also NOT DONE.
I just changed my brake pads and noticed that the swap out of the caliper which they billed me for was not done at all.
It would be such perfect justice if the owner and managers of this company received exactly the same quality service when going to the hospital or dentist as they provided me.
Bill for work, but do not do the work, then send the person on their way.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Sep 21, 2016Previous reviewI was not going to write a review, but after today, I changed my mind. So what happened today? I'll tell you. I had some electrical work done on my house last month and was having an intermittent problem with the breaker associated with the clothes dryer. So I called the electrician and he came out and told me he would swap out the breaker and add a new outlet to the room free of charge. He did not even test out the dyer, but trusted what I told him.
So what does this have to do with Chris's? My car window has a intermittent problem as well. Sometimes the windows work and other times, nothing. The problem is most likely a loose connection someplace (I am thinking the ground wire), but since I had the car in their shop for other work, I asked them to look into this.
They charged me 60 for a new switch and 90 in labor. That would not be a problem IF the repair was actually done, but the problem is still there. And what is very frustrating is that they will claim to have fixed the problem (actually the problem "fixes" itself when the door is opened and closed) but wait a few minutes and the problem comes back.
I understand that this problem can be a hard one to diagnose, but what really gets me is that I do not believe I received a new switch (the one that is there now, looks very much like the one that I had last month) and to swap out a switch only takes about 5 minutes. They claim to have opened up the door, but that makes no sense when they also claim the problem was corrected by a new switch.
I brought the car back to have them take a second look as the problem continues and they told me the problem has been corrected (again, the loose wire must have reseated itself temporarily). I just have the feeling the door was not opened back up and a real effort was made to truly identify the problem.
Unless you have a camera, you really never know what they did.
Of course I can be all wrong here and unfair with my review, but when I think about how the electrician is going out of his way to stand behind his work, compared to what Chris's has done after I paid them 150 but still have an intermittent functioning window... I felt compelled. - India M.Norwood, MA1251Mar 25, 2018
This morning I called Chris' to assist with a flat tire. My first call was at 7:47a and I spoke with a lady who took all my information including phone number and type of vehicle, she gave me an ETA of 60 minutes. When 9:00a came and went and I had not received a phone call or seen a service guy, I called the company back at 9:05a. Another lady answered the phone. I told her my story of how I was given a 60 minute ETA and I was just calling to get an updated ETA. She put me on hold, she then came back and had the driver on the phone. I informed the driver that I was calling for an updated ETA. He barked back like "updated?! I don't even have an ETA for you, because I don't have the original call."
At this point, I gave him the benefit of the doubt, I told him what I had going on. He came back with well its the weekend and it has to be cash and it's going to be more because it is the weekend. I said no problem, But if this is a call you don't want to deal with please tell me upfront so I can get another company on the phone. He continued on, telling me that he doesn't know who I spoke with and kept repeating that. I then said ok, how long do you think it's going to be before you can get to me, I need to give an update to work as to when they could expect me. The driver gives me an ETA of 90 minutes. At this point, I'm super frustrated. I hang up with Chris' and call Interstate Wrecking. I tell them everything that was going on. They had a driver to me in 15 minutes, my tire was changed out and I was on my way before 10a. I called Chris' back and informed the lady who identified herself this time as Desiree that I no longer needed their services and if they could let the driver know to cancel the call.
Not even 5 minutes later, the driver was calling me. I answered the phone and he immediately asked me if I always call for service then leave the site without cancelling. I said again I called your office and spoke with the lady named Desiree and told her I know longer need their services. He informed me he was at the location I was at, (which was a lie because I was still on the property of where I initiated the call). I said that's funny I am here still and you are not so stop lying to me. I informed him I should have never attempted the second call because it was a red flag that the information was not passed along in the first place. I asked him if this was normal practice of the company to call the folks that cancel their services and harass them. He said he wanted to be paid for having the truck out. I informed him I was not paying for services I never received. He threatened me with the police and to impound my truck. At this point I said have a nice day.

They are terrible. Very poor customer service. They act like the paying customer is doing them a favor. I made arrangements the day before for them to get my car between 830-9am to take to a garage that opens at 9 on a busy road. They call me at 730 to say they're there. I'm explained the garage would be closed, only 10 miles away. The driver said no problem I'll come back around 9 and pick it up then. I drove up the street where my car broke down and gave the driver the key. I got home and the dispatcher called and basically yelled at me how he can't have his driver waiting an hour and a half. I reminded him that the appt was made in advance and they here an hour to an hour and a half early. He said if they can't take it now then it would be cancelled so rather than going through the hassle of setting it up again I said take it now and I would call the garage and tell them it's coming early and would be left. He then told me it was already cancelled (he did it before he even called me). Just a total joke of customer service.

Car got towed from chris' service center and items were stolen out of my car. I called on a Wednesday and the manager never called me back. I had to call them continuously. Though they stated we never stole anything, the driver who towed my car mysteriously no longer works there! Do not use this service

Not the cleanest place, but the staff is very friendly and the service isn't over-priced. My car goes here for any and all repairs and I wouldn't even think of going anywhere else!
