Did not communicate we went out of network. We requested call records of the communication if they mentioned it during appointment confirmation.

Manager called to fix the issue.

Dentists and hygienists are great but the girls at the front desk are snarky and precocious. Like almost egging me on, knowing that if I give it back, they'll just kick me out of the practice. Not a good look- I'll be looking elsewhere.

Be aware that they don't inform you when your insurance go out of network. They just charge you extra money. The receptionist was very rude. They say they have notes written but nothing to back that up. They are not honest.

I have been a patient for 9 years, but this year my previous hygienist and dentist both left the practice at Clifton Park.

When I came back for my check up this year, crown replacement was recommended. However, a new dentist has to do the procedure since the previous once has left. During the first visit to get the impression I already noticed that the dentist has to keep asking the hygienist what is being used for certain procedure, I think maybe because she's new in the clinic. But when I came back for the permanent crown, immediately I notice that the permanent has a gap in the Xray. The dentist tried to make some adjustments and when she was trying it on, the crown fell in my mouth and I almost choked on it.

Bottom line, is I have to go back again and probably need to do an extra procedure with my gum. I understand some circumstances are unforeseen, but I would have appreciated if the dentist explained all this thoroughly the first time.

The staff was not at all sorry for the inconvenience of having to come back and for the probable extra cost of another procedure.

I called within approximately 22.5 hours of my appointment to cancel due to emergent work travel and they banged me $64 cancellation fee.
Dr. Ruckert is a great dentist but so is Dr. Dautel and my family of 4 plus all our friends can easily go elsewhere instead of dealing with bad business policies.

I have been a patient of clifton park family dental for years. It has been a complicated process. I have been in the process of having two crowns made for two years now, mainly thanks to covid and cancer, but some very preventable reasons as well.
The crowns were supposed to be in December 2019. Insurance paid for them then and I actually visited the office twice before the end of that year to pay the remaining balance because I wanted to use my HSA before the end of year. I was told there was no balance (even though I knew that was inaccurate), the first time. The second time I was told that I couldn't be told the balance because the insurance wouldn't pay until the crowns were in my mouth. Over the next several months I was told the delay was due to an assistant who was not doing her job but had been fired, the lab .. etc.. Then covid hit and unfortunately a chemo resistant breast cancer. While on chemotherapy, the office called and told me I owed them $186 for these crowns that still weren't finished. I explained my situation, that I had cancer and couldn't be seen during the pandemic and also lost my job. I was told the $186 would be sent to collections. I had no choice. Fast forward to last week. A separate crown ( done by them only a few short years prior), falls off. So I call to be seen and am told that I cannot be seen until I pay the balance of $186 on crowns... different crowns that are not finished ( which is what I was told when I tried to pay the balance prior). I asked if I could pay it when I came in and I was told no, I would need to pay it before I would be scheduled on what was an emergency visit on a different crown that I believe is still under their five year "warranty". I asked to speak to the office manager , who was not in , they next day I was scheduled out for about a week for this repair and that was only if I would pay for the other unfinished work on another tooth up frontal . When I got there , I was told that I needed to pay them , before they would bring me into the back to re cement a paid for , permanent crown that can't be more than three years old. Dr. Ruckert said it was a misunderstanding. I'm done with this office when I finally get these crowns. I like the dentist, the front staff is incompetent.

Only good for cleanings! Not suited for kids or adults if you have anything other than perfect teeth!

I came to this dentist because I had had a bad experience with the one I was going to. I'm not the best Dental patient ever, because I hate the noise and stuff, but they were awesome and patient with me. Shannon helped find me an office which suited my home/work balance. She and all the staff were extremely pleasant and friendly, and it would even appear to be a good place to work. They quickly identified the problem, and found a few more which they visually pointed out to me with pictures. They got me in quick after I called, and it appears that their appointments and their office hours are also conducive to a work/home balance. I will have to go back and have additional work done, but they already calculated an approximate amount that I would owe on my next visit after my insurance. I didn't feel rushed and nobody dismissed me as being silly.... I guess i've found a new dentist.

Absolutely horrible business practices. Did not tell me that they did not take my insurance until after procedures. Then expected full payment, when I asked if they could decrease my bill or work out payments they told me no. I am thoroughly disappointed.

The hygenist was amazing and so nice, but I was reassured I wouldn't be charged for routine x-rays. I received a bill from them for guess what? Yep, x-rays. This upsets me because I specifically asked if they would be covered because I didn't think it had been a complete year since last having x-rays done. She assured me there would be no charge and they had already cleared it through my insurance company. After reading reviews, I see that billing is a common problem at this dental office. Patient be ware and prepared for additional billing issues!

The dentist himself seemed like he was in a hurry and had better things to do. It was my first visit and after the hygentist introduced him to me, he didn't even offer a hello or welcome! He seemed irritated that I had a question about a tooth that had been bothering me when I floss. He quickly dismissed me with a remark that made me feel a little embarrassed and I regretted asking him to look at the tooth. I'm confused and disappointed because this practice came highly recommeded by some trusted people.
