I came in with mint green-ish hair and came out with this beautiful platinum hair I absolutely love. Plus the way Niki spoke about my hair while she worked on it made feel pretty good about it. Babyyyyy lemme tell you! I am soo very picky about my hair and what's being done to it. Been trying to grow my hair out for years now and take much pride in it. It was my first time meeting Arie and she was very sweet and educated when it came to hair health. My hair is at a decent length and is very sensitive to high temperatures. Arie again knew what she was doing and did my hair with a breeze. This definitely put my mind at ease. I HAD THE BEST SHAMPOO/Conditioner experience of my life in here. Young lady definitely knows what she is doing.. I will forever be a loyal client to her! Come see ARIE at this hidden gem.

Oh my, where do I start. From the moment I walked in, I felt like as if I have been going to this salon for years. Everyone there was so welcoming and comforting and I really enjoyed my appointment there, and it was my first time ever going here as well. The thing I lived for the most about this salon were the beautiful hair stylists, especially Niki! She worked her magic onto my hair and was very reassuring of what would be best for my hair health as well, and she kept asking me if I was ok with whatever she suggested, and I honestly appreciated that because if I had any type of question or concern she'd answer it truthfully and thoughtfully, and didn't do anything unless I agreed. The most thoughtful part about this salon in particular is that they made it feel like home, and that's a rare gem to find in other hair salons. This will definitely be my go-to salon, and I would absolutely recommend this place to my friends and family. Thank you to Niki and the rest of her hair-team, y'all are really nice people and I'm glad to have gotten my hair done from the best of the best, and I appreciated all the laughs!

Ok so this review is long over due but I wanted to give my hair a chance to bounce back before I wrote this review. So I came in to go from a reddish color to blonde. The owner was who I had my appt with. She was honest and let me know that she didn't think we could achieve the look I wanted in one session but she would lighten up the hair around my face and do about 70% highlights which I was ok with because I didn't want to loose the integrity of my hair. Well my appt was at 2 and I left the salon after 9pm first of all lol not sure if this is normal but okay... then the bleach was applied to my hair and I was in a chair for what felt like 4 hours with it on my hair. I literally watched a guy install a full head of some kind of weave while I had the bleach in my hair. But I don't know anything about hair so I'm minding my business... also there was a young girl who was training and was overrrrrrr it that day lol so fast forward they rinse my hair and I can tell my hair feels disgusting. Hard and brittle and I knew it was over. My hair was then straightened and styled and I was like ok maybe it's gonna be ok... I had A TON of fly always all over my head I'm assuming from all the breakage from the bleach but I was like ok... I posted a pic on IG and went about my business... when I washed my hair I literally cried. My hair was ruined. I had straight straggly ends everywhere. It was horrible. My appt was in early November. I text the owner and she recommended some very expensive products that I got and it didn't change a thing. Fast forward to May of 2021 and I'm finally going to get a haircut from a curly hair stylist to get rid of all the damage and begin the repair process... I was very disappointed not only because the appt was very expensive but I was very very clear about not wanting my hair to be damaged. Everyone at the salon was nice but in the hair world nice doesn't cut it. I won't be back :(

I called and spoke with Terry (T), sent a photo to let her know what color I wanted and she got me on the same day. My hair has been blonde for over a decade, my exact words were, I chose this salon because I want this exact color, and you all specialize in color. I arrived before my appt time and waited a bit for T. She then began a 4-hour epic experience of washing and dying my hair, as you can see in the pictures, my hair was not blonde, it was reddish, and dry, and brittle. Throughout the process T. kept consulting with the owner Nikki and going to the back and getting assistance. She noticed how bad it was and gave me a "free" deep conditioning treatment. After my hair was dry and brittle, I continued to sit under the dryer while she worked with another client, at this point it was now 7:00 pm. I continued to sit and wait, at 8pm I asked what we needed to do to "square up" because I had an 8pm event. My hair was not done, it was wrecked. The owner offered to add highlights if I could wait or to have me come back another time. I was NOT going to allow them back in my head. Both the N. and T. believed I should pay the $150 for the color, I said what about $75, because my color was wrong and my hair damaged. As a professional, I did what they asked and paid the $150. N. stated that she was the owner of the shop and my issue was with T. so it was between us. I went to my car and T. followed me out requesting to finish my hair, then she said she would return my money. I text her the next day and not only did she say she was not going to refund my money, she was rude, disrespectful and insulting. I let her know that as a black professional woman old enough to be her mother, I would not allow her to talk to me that way and hung up. I later had to go to my stylist in another city and have my hair redone. My stylist told me that T. did a terrible job and damaged my hair and the only option was to cut 2 inches off. The shop is beautiful, but T and N were unprofessional and T. is under skilled. A shop with color in the name should be able to do just that... COLOR.

So, basically I am in love with this establishment! It's aesthetically appealing, the staff is professional (even over the phone), it's clean & neat, and everything is proper (down to the lavatory)!

Now onto my hairstylist, I get my hair done by Erica! The first time I went to the salon she was able to take me as a walk-in (WINNING!) and I left with my hair looking like the bomb! Keep in mind it was my first time putting heat on my hair in two years. I expressed to her that I was concerned about heat damage (I watch too many natural hair videos on YouTube, smh) and she walked me through the process and assured me with her 20+ years of experience that I would be fine, and I was!! Chile, that press and flat iron lasted for like two weeks (with proper maintenance on my end of course, but it definitely started with her fire skills)! The photo attached is of the work she did yesterday and I am pleased once again! Thanks Erica and thanks Color Culture for being an exemplary salon.

I'm not sure where to start...the ambiance of this salon is serene! The natural light mixed with the superb indoor lighting is the perfect combination.

The decor is exceptional and downright pretty just as you expect your hair to be when you leave. No disappointments in this area!

Although the salon recently opened, the owner Nicki, is a phenomenal stylist and colorist. My favorite thing about her is the time she takes to perfect my looks. My ends are always precise and healthy.

She is all about beauty but healthy hair is first and foremost. She will always tell you the truth even when it hurts. If you're looking for someone to get you from point A to point B...this is the salon for you!

Grab a coffee, have a cushy seat, listen to some good music and expect to gain a ton of compliments when it's all said and done!!!!

I had the pleasure of meeting Nicki. She's very professional and great at her craft. She thoroughly explained the process of going blonde so there were no surprises. While transitioning she checked in on me regularly to make sure i was doing well. My color came out F**king amazing! I absolutely love my color. Very reasonable prices, location is easy to find and the shop is very modern and up to date. Everyone is friendly in the shop and made me feel very comfortable.
