Great for a weekday lunch - their specials during that time are wonderful. Regular curry is a huge portion - lots of options on the menu. Sushi isn't overloaded with rice. Fish is fresh and good texture.
Staff is efficient. Get there early to avoid waits!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mashael Z.London, United Kingdom712295442Jul 22, 2023
Always reliable for a good meal. Even the fried oysters were tasty and I don't like oysters.

I saw a lot of people on YouTube come here and it's definitely worth a try if you're in London. Plan a head because it is a popular spot so there will a wait. The restaurant is bigger than your typical sushi restaurants though. The service was okay and the restaurant was clean. The sushi was really good for the price though! I would go back and definitely recommend this spot if anyone is looking for sushi in London.

There's always a long line outside of this shop and once you try it, it makes sense why. This Japanese restaurant offers a ton of Japanese dishes in huge portion sizes, at an affordable cost. The rolls we ordered were especially delicious, and the chirashi was especially fantastic. Would recommend you to arrive 15-30 minutes before the shop opens to get a spot in line, especially during lunch time when it gets really busy.

Seriously for the chicken wings alone I'd have given it 5 stars, let alone everything else was also perfect.
My only complaint is that it can be way too pricy for what you get, for that I took 1 star off.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - May 10, 2018
Nice address discovered thanks to my Japanese colleagues!
Luckily, we made a reservation because this place is really popular and can get pretty crowded!
We ordered different meals to share: maki roll, gyozas, Kimchi buta nikku, vegetables, karaage... Everything was good and authentic!
Also, after that I ate a gyudon, amazing! It was not the same taste than in Japan but it was good.
I recommend this place if you are looking for good, authentic and not too expensive Japanese food.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tian G.Jersey City, NJ82346923Apr 22, 2019
Good Japanese food! Came here with friends and the reservations got us in, which was great!
We got the chicken and salmon bento, fried chicken, spider roll and a special roll. We also got some sashimi.
The rolls were good, fresh and tasty ingridenys. The bento was of large portions and we enjoyed it. The fried chicken wasn't very good but the sashimi was good.
Overall a very good experience!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Samuele F.Rotherhithe, London, United Kingdom08Apr 14, 2021
I've been to Eat Tokyo quite a few times. I must say the food is actually pretty good. I find it tasty, good portions and it's also affordable. A personal suggestion? Try the rolls, especially the Dragon roll.
My only concern is that, sometimes, the customer service isn't as its best. Sometimes the staff isn't very unwelcoming and nice.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Coco L.London, United Kingdom0714Jan 8, 2019
This branch of Eat Tokyo is always consistently fantastic in terms of food quality - I've never been disappointed so far. The portion sizes are insanely huge and the prices are very cheap relative to how much food they give you, which is always great because 2 people can easily share one of their dishes and have some left over to spare!
Their double size chicken katsu curry is humongous, easily feeds 2-3 people and is only £9! They have such a large selection of foods on their menu that you'd be forgiven for sitting there for an hour just choosing! My favourite is the katsudon pork cutlet rice! They have x2 pork cutlets which are crispy and soft, the egg and rice are so flavoursome too! Amazing starters aswell - my go to are the soft shell crab and fried chicken!
This place hasn't disappointed so far, and I go regularly, it's fantastic for amazing quality tasty food - the 1 big downside though is definitely the queue time - expect to wait at least 40 minutes to an hour on most evenings, especially weekends. There's ALWAYS a long queue lined across the street.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chrystel K.London, United Kingdom2451171Jun 5, 2017
I always come here. Great authentic Japanese food for an amazing price.
Normally, I order the large chicken katsu curry , which is around £9. Literally bigger than an average persons head. I never finish it and always end up taking away the leftovers.
The wait for a table is around 40mins but it's worth it. Staff are lovely and very attentive! The waiting in the line flys by if you are with a group of friends so it's not too bad.
EAT Tokyo will always be my staple go to restaurant in London for Japanese cravingsHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
