This is the second location of Elia's the first one is on broad and high. I have been to the broad and high location multiple times and had great food and service, since grub hub can only deliver from this location to us, we decided to go with it. Same place, different locations should be ok right?
The food at this location is surprisingly disappointing. We got it twice, the first time I thought it was just a fluke (gyros tasted kind of old and had too much sauce and no flavor) and the second time it's even more disappointing.
My bf and I each got a bowl, I got the chicken and he got the pork. We loaded it up with veggies and different sauces on the side. The order came quickly. We were trying to determine what the sauces were but they looked almost the same.
The only good thing about the bowl was the chicken, it was moist and had great flavor. Everything else was so bland! The rice/lentils were dry, the roasted chickpeas were not roasted - more of a dry-ish bland chickpea, there were large chunks of kale stem. The corn was a nasty, cheap canned corn. Honestly it was hard to believe how bland everything was, even after we added the sauce. I think they just forgot to put any spices, including salt into their food.
Since this was such a disappointment we asked for a refund from grubhub. Ok fine, but then the owner CALLED us. Well ok, we had no problem telling him what the issue was. He kept interrupting my bf and trying to convince us that their food is the best in Columbus. No sir. Please try out a few other establishments to gain perspective. I recommend Sababa.
There are so many wonderful eateries in Columbus, they will not only delight you with their food but their service too. Elia's is not on that list.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 30, 2019
The customer service was not what I was expecting, seeing as I absolutely love Elias' downtown High and Broad location and their employees. The gentleman working the counter was curt and not friendly; a definite downfall. He's was rather rude, and impatient as I decided what things I wanted to go in my pork gyro bowl.
I was incredibly disappointed with the pork: way over-cooked, big pieces of tough grizzled fat; it'd obviously been sitting out/reheated WAY past the point. Because of my medical situation, protein is incredibly important for me to consume, and since the pork was so tough, I wasn't able to eat but two bites of the bowl, and the rest went to waste. Highly disappointed, as the toppings I picked looked quite good.
I don't do second chances hardly ever, and this spot has most definitely not earned their's. I will stick with the downtown location for sure.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Mar 28, 2020
So I have to admit, my love for brassica runs deep but Elia is a great, OSU adjacent alternative!
This quarantine is making me go a little crazy but I guess its also making me try some of the food close to me so there's some benefit there. For less than $10 I got a huge bowl and a side of fries, definitely enough food for two meals. At least for those who don't eat huge meals. I got the make your own bowl and went with the mixed as I wanted greens with a little bit of rice. Protein wise I went with the beef and lamb and it was exactly what I wanted. Just the perfect amount of meatiness and salt to really pull my bowl together. If you need that gyro fix, definitely come by. The bowls are super hearty and you can really put as many toppings as you want. My opinion on the best topping may be those pita crisps, what a great way to add a little bit of crunch to your bowl!
PS. This place is family owned and I was told the food is made in an authentic Greek style. So its made as if you were joining a Greek family for dinner. Definitely worth a shot if you're in the area!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dec 31, 2019
So, the service was weird, but the food was amazing. I got the salad/rice mix bowl with falafel. They have two kinds of lettuce and both white and brown rice. They have several protein choices, and the falafel wasn't made on the spot, but still fresh and delicious. I got my veg selections, and hummus, and their Elia sauce. They don't have the white house sauce that other places have, but that was ok. I did not try their fries. I would definitely return, but maybe to the downtown location.
The dining space is trendy and spacious. They have bottled and fountain drinks.
I did not get a smile from the guy who served up my food.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Geoffrey L.Berea, OH112164125Mar 10, 2022
No longer exists, sorry! The location is now Delia's Grill and Grill. (Which has Mediterranean food).

I was pretty ecstatic that Eliá decided to open up a location near campus. It's build your own, a good price, and filling!
I came on Sunday after a group meeting on campus and there was one other guy sitting in there eating. It was well past the lunch hour. Almost 3 o'clock, so I wasn't shocked that it wasn't busy.
Anyway, service was fantastic! The guy making my pork yeero was humorous and made conversation with me. He told me that Eliá still doesn't have soups on their menu :( I'm guessing people didn't really order it so they've eliminated it completely from their offerings.
The pork yeero was wrapped well. Like perfect! I put tzaziki in there, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and fries. When I took a bite, it was still just as flavorful as usual but this time, a bit greasier than I remembered. It was a little disappointing and unappetizing.
I'm open to returning although I'm never on this side of campus much. I'm sure I'll be at the one downtown a bit more.
The space was great though! Fusian was formerly located here and for some reason, closed down. I think Eliá will do great in this spot!Helpful 13Thanks 0Love this 13Oh no 0 - Jessie M.Columbus, OH3478233Mar 8, 2020
It's hard justifying giving a five star review to a counter service place, but everything was clean, the staff was friendly, the food was tasty and fresh, and the prices were fair; for a simple and quick place, it meets all of the standards of a four star in its category.
I went today, a Sunday, and it was very quiet. I got a bowl with half rice and half salad as a base. I then added the lamb/beef mixture and as many toppings/dressings as humanly possible. I'm a fiend for free toppings and this place has a plethora.
My favorite additions are the crispy pita bites and the red pickled onions. I added a soda (Coke Zero on tap always sells me) and a piece of baklava. My total was about $15, which is a bit pricey for a quick service lunch, but, I did add dessert. If you start adding side dishes and such, you can run your cheap meal pretty high, but the bowl was more than enough.
This place functions much like a Chipotle, but with Greek offerings. I really enjoyed my bowl and can see myself going back.
As a side note, the baklava was okay. I likely will skip it next time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dominic D.Fairborn, OH5484162Jul 26, 2019
Holy cow! The best Greek street food I have had in the US. I believe either the owner or someone connect was at the register and the pride in service was very notable.
Let me quantify. Having lived in Greece for a couple of years, gyros became a staple as well as a comfort food. Tzatziki with strong garlic and French fries within was a hallmark for central Greece. Elia has the southern flair, but yes, it's comforting.
I do appreciate the American spin of spicy feta.
Great food and I look forward to tracking back here to try additional items.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jan 9, 2019
Elia recently opened up near my office and I like Greek food so obviously it was on my must try list. But I wanted to give a fair review... So I've been 3 times, plus we got it catered once. So how is it?
1. Friendly staff, fast service, easy to get my food - YES
2. Lots of combinations, solid flavors, fresh ingredients - YES (yes, they can do vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, etc!)
3. Good sized bowls, decent lunch prices (especially if you only eat half and have the second half the next day), close to me - YES
So if you can't tell, I'm super happy they arrived to a location near me and I will be going back again and again. I encourage you to join me and make a trip too!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0
