Cute spot with delicious dessert options. Staff are so friendly and helpful. The brownie sundae with pistachio ice cream was delicious.

Such a delicious ice cream shop! They have so many flavors and you can add yummy toppings. I got the strawberry cheesecake ice cream in a waffle cone. I'll definitely go back!

Service was great. They made everything quickly and answered all my questions! Definitely would recommend.

Stopped by after dinner for a cup of coffee ice cream and wow was I surprised. This is so much more than just an ice cream bar! Geralds has over 30 flavors to choose from, bunches of toppings, cakes, chocolates, milkshakes, popsicles, floats, cannolis, meringues and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things! Oh wait, French pastries!!! All of the ice cream is made right in the store which was extremely clean. There was plenty room to indulge either inside or outside or order and take out. The young man working was exceptionally nice and helpful. Really could not ask for better service. The ice cream was wonderful as was the whole experience. Wanted to try a new ice cream place. Found this little gem.
Immediately, cute ambience when walking in & was greeted.
The ice cream is not on display like a normal ice cream shop, but they have flavors listed on the wall.

I tried a few flavors, but after the 3rd sample (I was sharing with my husband) I was told there is a limit to two samples per person.

I tried bourbon butter pecan, coconut caramel, & ube.
The bourbon butter pecan was delicious, but I'm not a big bourbon fan.

Coconut caramel & ube were too sweet for me.
Because of the 2 sample rule, I just opted for butter pecan because that's a simple flavor that I love.
The butter pecan tasted as if it was missing something. Tbh, didn't love it.

They serve each ice cream in a cup with a cute little meringue dollop. I thought it was the cutest signature!

I love how they offer in house baked pastries, Adffogato, & other desserts.

I'd visit again, but only if I was in the area.

My kids and I are on a mission to try all the local ice cream spots in Virginia Beach. This was our first time checking out Gearld's Ice Cream. It is super clean and and pretty inside. Definitely picture worthy. There are more dessert selections than just ice cream.

There seemed to be only one person working on the Saturday afternoon that we visited. She was not super bubbly but she did take her time making each ice cream just as ordered. She was sweet and quiet. My kids enjoyed their ice cream and loved looking around.

There is even outdoor seating. It located at a great location within the shopping center and has tons of parking.

The reason for the 4 star. It was not the best I cream I had and some of the desserts we order weren't good. Overall, still recommend this spot.

This is the best ice cream I have had in years. Amazing quality and ingenuous flavors. It's hard to find non factory produced ice cream and this homemade ice cream is top notch!

I really wish there was one local to us, I'd be there all the time.

This was a last minute stop with my daughter who was craving ice cream. It was late afternoon on a Tuesday and it was empty. No problem, it was our first time and we just couldn't help but soak in all the goodies, ice cream, and decorations. I was absolutely impressed with their store. It was decorated with bright colors and the menu on the wall was definitely the focal point. The young man behind the counter was super friendly while offering us free samples. There was also a brightly painted mural on the wall that just stood out to all.
As for the ice cream...I want to love it. But I just could not get with their pistachio. I asked for a sample, and it was just too sweet for my liking. I didn't get any pistachios either. I noticed a sign that their pistachio is made with Sicilian pistachios which are suppose to be higher quality and richer taste.
I didn't care for it too much. I did have a sample of their ube and I liked this.
They also have a ton of desserts to choose from such as macaroons, cakes, candy, and more. I saw that they had pistachio marzipan and since they were $2.25/ea, I bought 2. They were delicious!
Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely stop by for more of the marzipan!

This place literally has the best ice cream I've ever had. Made on site every day and the staff is the best! I love it here and come back as often as possible the ambiance of the shop itself is very laid back and relaxing. Love the tunes they play

What is there to say... this is a super solid ice cream spot! Located in a strip there is lots of parking and a few tables outside. I absolutely love the overall vibe of the store. During the day it has so much natural light, with colorful artwork and a huge menu hanging on the wall. SUPER clean! Gerald's definitely gives some nostalgic feels, transporting it's visitors back in time with the music and little paper hats the staff wear. Oh, and the ice cream is all natural and made in-house.

Immediately as we stepped through the door I KNEW I had to get a waffle cone. There were way more flavors than I was expecting, and they had quite a few unique ones I've never heard of before! The staff who were scooping were super nice. Of course, I ended up going with good ole Cookies & Cream, and my husband got Pistachio. After getting a photo op with the ice cream, we grabbed a seat a dug in. Honestly, you can't go wrong with the ice cream. 10/10! My husband actually said it's the best ice cream he's ever had. Next time we definitely want to check out their milkshakes. They also have William Dean chocolates for sale and we think they would make really great gifts!
