Girard's Service Center

A few people recommended this place, so I went there. The service was very disappointing. My appointment was in the morning, so I followed their advice to drop off my car the day before. However, I called them at least 5 times in the morning to check the status of my car because I was told they couldn't find it or the person working on it was not available. It was just a diagnosis, not repairing! It was finally done after 1pm.
After I got into my car, I smelled strong cigarette smoke. The steering wheel felt greasy. Black oily smudges were on my center console. What did they do?!

My Jeep patriot was experiencing axle problems and decided to call Girard's. The team was friendly and responsive. They were kind enough to accept car warranty. My Jeep was ready in 2 days! It's running smoothly now. Feeling ready for the summer!

BUYER BEWARE! I I took my son's car in for an evap code and a check engine light. I got a call back with an estimate of $882 dollars. $430 of that was parts. While deciding whether to spend the money on the car, I looked online to validate the cost of the parts, only to find a kit that had everything in it for $160. when I went to pickup the car (I declined to have the work completed), I was charged $102 for diagnostics. Seems that diagnostics are only 'free' if you buy services. Also, When my estimate was printed out, it was only $777. Hmm, could that $115 difference be the 'free' diagnostics?


I would not trust this shop.

Always like the Girard's team. This shop is impeccable and I've always had polite and quick service for my appointments.

Took my car here a few weeks ago for a engine leak. I was told the rear main oil seal needed to be replaced and it would cost $800. I took my car to another mechanic who diagnosed the leak as coming from my transmission and the car was still under warranty. The second mechanic and the dealer clearly stated my rear oil seal wasn't leaking and it was a good thing I got a second opinion because I would have paid $800 for something that didn't need to be fixed.

I discovered this place after I got a flat tire and AAA recommended it. Very pleased! It was the end of the day, but I got a call very first thing the next morning that my tire had been fixed and my car was ready. They were honest, economical and friendly. I'll be back!

I've been going to Girard's for years for my regular oil change and whenever my car makes weird and unusual noises. I go here because I can trust them and they are always looking out for you. Their prices are slightly more expensive compared to other places, but I feel like they do their checks thoroughly, which makes me feel better to spend that extra bucks.

Another nice thing about them is that they're open on Saturday till 1 pm! And they have a reward program, so you can collect your points and redeem them.

Ohh and you can setup an appointment online at their website too if you're one those people that hates talking on the phone.

After I drove from Montana to Wisconsin I saw that my Dodge Ram 1500 had a semi-detached fender flare. My son recommended Girard's. Within 5 minutes after I went to their garage it was secured and ready to travel through the wind and rain. Thank you , Derrick. You were very professional friendly and helpful to a worried traveler.

I recently purchased new tires and needed an alignment done. Another local "chain" auto service center claimed I needed nearly $1000 worth of suspension work before they could align my car. That seemed excessive so I declined and took my car to Girard's instead. I have never gone there in the past, but have driven past it many times. It was very easy to get an appointment. The cost for an alignment was very reasonable. I dropped my car off on Friday night and it was ready to go mid morning on Saturday. I'm happy with the work, price, and service. There was no feeling of being jerked around like I experienced at the chain service center. I should also add they have a really nice waiting area - including a place for kids to hang out. That's a really nice touch for busy parents. I think they will be my go to spot for auto service going forward. Highly recommended if you're in the area!!

I called Girards Service Of Franklin, yesterday to ask how much it would cost to get a headlight replaced on my car. The gentleman who answered the phone gave me a quote. I asked if I could get in the same day (yesterday) and he gave me a time in the afternoon. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted and helped at the desk by a very nice gentleman. My car was worked on right away. The lobby area is very clean and comfortable. My new headlight was installed within 15 minutes. The great thing is that it turned out that the price I paid was cheaper than the bottom quote I was given on the phone. The person at the desk said it all depended on the bulb that was needed. Everything about Girards Service Center, is outstanding. They are very professional and HONEST! Ladies (and gentlemen) you do not have to worry about getting taken here. These people are not only nice, not only professional, but you can TRUST them. They are decent human beings who are not out to rip anyone off. It's the only place that I don't have to fear taking my car to when something needs to be fixed with my vehicle.
