This was my second time at Glamour Nails.
I like having the acrylic put directly on my nails, without a tip, to strengthen them and I think they look more natural this way. Usually techs at other salons refuse but at Glamour Nails, the tech actually suggested just the overlay when I told him how short I wanted my nails.
They've done a great job, both times and I'm very happy with my nails and this salon.
It is a little pricier than other places, but considering the pandemic and material costs, etc, I'm willing to pay a little extra for exactly what I want.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jade W.Vermilion, OH7176Jun 14, 2021
The people are nice, however the gentleman I had didn't seem to really care how my nails turned out. I had some nails with missing spots of top coat and I wanted a brown tip which is really in and "trendy" I figured they'd know what I'd want the outcome to look like. He only did one coat of the brown gel polish which made the brown see through. Someone at work told me it looked like I played in poop... lol. I left really sad especially when I paid $55! The picture of the nails I got done here are with the brown tips , the other photo is when I eventually went and got them fixed and paid $50, I got gem stones and had a broken pointer finger and it was still cheaper! Never going back.

Asked for mani and pedi with gel polish. Advertised pricing was $45 combined posted on the wall. When I go to check out, they tell me the total is $95!!! They never told me there was an upcharge, and certainly $50 for gel polish is beyond unreasonable (I could own 5 new top line bottles at that price). I argue the price as I didn't authorize that, and they tell me that if I don't pay they'll call the police. I had two kids with me, so that's not acceptable. I gave them my debit card and authorized the $45 only, and they proceeded to charge $95.01. I refused a tip, they refused to give a receipt. Ive now disputed the charge with my bank as it was obtained under threat in front of children. On a side note: a natural mani/pedi took 2 1/2 hours even though the place was empty, and after service my toes have polish all over the skin and my fingernails feel gummy.
Don't go here!!! Scammers!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Patty R.Manhattan, NY12Sep 20, 2018
I had a great experience here! Everyone was friendly and my nails look great. I wasn't sure what I should do with my nails and they didn't try to upsell me. I highly recommend.

Pedicure was awful, looks bad, I complained & they did nothing. I'm not coming back here. Not worth the time or money. The massage was a joke, spent about a total of 15 minutes in the pedi chair.,...that was a record for me.
I was told my pinky toe nail grows crooked, the reason why it was cut that way. I am glad someone informed me. all the pedicures I have been getting over the past 20 years have been wrong (enter sarcasm here) I always get my nails trimmed correctly with out informing a nail tech how to do his or her job

on a positive note, my shelac manicure was good (except I never had lotion put on my hands or arms)Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Dec 29, 2011Previous reviewVery clean- friendly staff, & my nails are "show stoppin"

I got a pedi and gel manicure. When checking out the total was $72. Pedi is $30 and gel mani is $35. I ask why the gel is more expensive than acrylic cause it takes half the time and she just brushed off the question. Then when I get the total I tell her it's wrong cause it should be $65.
Here's the kicker they charge an extra $2 cause I picked a marble color and it's "more expensive and they charge everyone the same thing." Ok, but why isn't the increase for the marble color posted anywhere? RIP off!!
For that cost the salon should be more of a spa experience and cleaner! The "clean" brushes look like they've been used a thousand times.
Never again...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Isabella M.Oberlin, OH377Jun 2, 2015
Three years ago I got a pedicure here. I purposefully chose the top of the line and was extremely disappointed. Massage?!? What massage?!? I seriously looked at the gentleman, astonished, and asked "You're done? What about the massage?" A waste of $55, aggravation free.
So about a week ago, I say to myself, Why not? That was so long ago, give it another try. (The place in the area that was *highly* recommended to me was packed and couldn't take any new customers for the evening. {mental note to self!}) Glamour was basically empty and they said Of Course they could take me. The pedicurist was so very nice, chatty (a bit too much at times) and VERY pleasant. I was excited - this is going to work out - hooray!
She used a callus remover lotion ALL over my feet - the bottoms, the sides, on the base of the toes, which of course got in btwn the toes. My skin was BURNING and she was scrubbing away telling me not to worry. Long and short, the skin on my feet was SO raw. It was bleeding in a few places AND I actually had cuts that looked like gashes, 3 were over an inch long each. I ended up w scabs after a few days. Not cute.
I will *never* go back for any service. I encourage folks to be aware of places like this, and be very cognizant about how callus lotion is applied to your feet. Google the ingredients on the web...it is meant to melt and eat away calluses...what it does to healthy skin is a painful and ugly nightmare.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Lauren W.Maple Heights, OH01Aug 10, 2020
I had an awful experience with getting a full set of acrylics. I asked for purple nails with a marble accent nail and I received ALL purple nails, awful marble (literally two streaks across my nails) and she put glitter on that I didn't even ask for. 10/10 do NOT recommend.

There signup sheet is a mere suggestion and I was surprised when they took two of us back at the same time and started the pedicure on someone who came after me and after the water was cold, a tech came by after soliciting another client and informed me she very resignedly that she would take me now. I cried my feet and left. No one was even concerned. Take your business somewhere else where they have a sense of customer service. Since I have been to better salons with better prices, this was my last visit.

Nice salon but I don't think they are very experienced.
Having lived in CA for 10 years getting my nails done once a month I know what to expect.
I decided to do French gel and I think I could have done a better job. They need some practice doing French.
Maybe they do better painting a regular color.
The pedicure was ok. There was no massage what so ever.
And when they were using the "cheese grader "
On the bottom of my feet he was embarrassing me because a lot got removed and he kept saying wow look at all this and wow you need pedicure more often. And then he went and got a broom and swept it up in front of everyone.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
