Soooo beyond happy with my services here. I made an appointment a week in advance online which was incredibly easy. I wish I could remember who I booked with because she was THE BEST. She sits in the 2nd chair when you walk in. She was so nice and did an excellent job. It was like she could read my mind she shaped everything perfectly. I went on a Saturday and it was easy to park and walk down to the salon, the street parking was also free I guess because it was the weekend. They had good colors to choose from. The receptionist was very friendly and he set up my water for my pedicure. It's a smaller place so it wasn't too crowded. She started my services promptly at my appointment time and didn't take a long time or try to upsell me or anything. She did an amazing shape and really took time to make my nails look great. Would definitely go back.

I called to book a mani pedi for both my daughters. I was told to come at 11 which we did. My younger one sat with her feet in the water for at least 15 minutes yet her pedicure ended two minutes (I looked at my phone) after my older ones did. Both techs were super unfriendly- never said hi, what's your name, etc. they are 7 and 9 and this was our first mani pedi since moving from CA and definitely not the same type of experience we are used to. I'm glad I only booked theirs as I definitely won't be getting mine done here
Eventually they told us the nails were dry (also I've never seen a salon do toes BEFORE nails). When we got home my youngest nails were already ruined as they clearly weren't dry when we left - see picture. Also the tech who did my older daughter was so rough she left marks on her legs.
On to the search for a new salon...Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Greyson W.Washington, DC1847Aug 17, 2023
A total hidden gem. Service is quick and results are always great! Previously I was a dedicated customer of a salon downtown, but as soon as I realized this was walking distance for me and more reasonably priced, making the switch was a no brainer.
Will continue to be my go to!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 31077169May 13, 2022
My first time here was wonderful! The salon is very clean and posh, and the nail technicians are lovely. They are HIGHLY skilled, which was a plus for me because typically when I go to nail salons and show a technician the style that I want, I am usually told they are either a) not equipped to do the particular design or b) do not know how to do elaborate designs. But not here, so I definitely will be coming here moving forward!

Owner claims I still have nails after going through my account but those are posts some from when I first got my nails done. I just uploaded two photos of my nails as they look now since he requested to see them.

They are new so I don't want to "hurt" them but they definitely hurt me. I wasn't planning on writing anything negative in my review but as you keep reading you will understand why I feel the need to. Long story short: I am writing this review to be understood and heard by this salon. I received a very unfair response from whoever operates their Instagam. Once they sent their hostile message they blocked me before I could respond. I want them to see my response here and understand that I mean no harm to them and do appreciate their work and effort.
The situation:
On Thur, 6/2, my nail technician did an amazing job at the design I requested as well as for my friend! However, 3 gems on 2 of my nails fell off within 24 hrs and within the next 3 days 3 of my nails already started to chip. I called to inform them and they said I could come in to get them fixed free of charge. On Thur, 6/9, they patched the chips and reapplied top coat to all the nails once. I asked if they could apply another layer to which they confidently said my nails are safe now but applied an extra layer to the nails with gems on them. The day after getting my nails fixed, they began to chip again with a whole chunk of polish preparing to lift off my thumb nail to which I keep pressing down to prevent it from lifting further. (I did not do anything with my hands out of the ordinary as Gloss Time claims in their message (view Part 2/3 image)).
Some background info: my past 8 gel manis from other salons never chipped for at least 1.5 months until my nails grew out then I had the nails redone (which Gloss Time probably thinks I am bluffing), so my only experience with gel nails is they should last for a while but these nails chipped the next day (my classic non-gel pedi is perfect though)-I noticed that the gel top coat brand they use is thinner than the other 2 salons' I've been to. During my "fixing nails" day, the male tech mentioned they noticed Asian clients prefer thinner nails but in my experience, my nails were not "thick" and never chipped.
Due to the 2nd time chipping, I sent Gloss Time an Instagram message to request a partial refund (I still wanted to leave them credit for doing the design well) and explain my situation (please view screenshot Part 1/3) to which I received an extremely hostile response (response on Part 2/3). The person who responded to me seems to have the impression that I'm "purposefully messing up my nails to take advantage of their service" and proceeded to make assumptions about my lifestyle. In this message you'll notice they complained that I was 1.5 hours late when in reality I was only 20min late. On 6/2 I had called 45min prior to inform them there was a 40min slow down on my route possibly due to the huge storm. Over the phone the front desk lady/my nail technician had been understanding even after I arrived.
They think I messed up the nails due to playing slots at a casino for an influencer collaboration they saw on my instagram story. However, I noticed my nail chipping before I stepped foot in to the casino. I didn't message them about it until they were open the next day. Even so, only the bottom of my clenched fist touched the button. I honestly did not expect hostility. I wasn't "demanding" a refund, I was "requesting" one. They could have responded they are not able to instead of insulting me saying I was "taking advantage of them" and assuming I'm a horrible person and there "must be a reason why you come to us".
Also they mention in their message (view Part 2/3 image) to me that they spent more than 5hrs on my nails when it took them ~2.5 hours on both my pedi and mani combined once they started on them and they took only ~30min for fixing.
I feel it is reasonable of me to be concerned about nails chipping the next day and I always stated my concerns calmly and very straightforward as the events happened.
My current opinion of Gloss Time is 1.They are great at nail designs but sadly in my experience they start chipping after a day for uncertain reason (maybe because of their polish brand) or maybe I'm just unlucky. 2. They blame and make negative assumptions about customers who share their concerns with them.
I just learned that after they made many negative assumptions about me and blocked me without giving me time to respond, they messaged my friend who I went to the salon with that day and spoke poorly about me to her...

To business owner's response(s) below since he has updated his comment 3 times: He didn't seem to understand my message or read my timestamps. It hadn't been 2 weeks. He's trying to claim I harassed my nail technician but I did not? I think she did a great job with the nail design as stated above. The nails chipping the next day has nothing to do with her abilities, I mentioned above I think it has to do with the gel top coat brand. - Carol W.Wesley Chapel, FL0210Oct 12, 2023
Over priced for the quality of service. Customer service is good,. The quality of the manicure & pedicure.

First off you come into my salon and got a polish change you came 15min early than your appointment time and you waited only 5min so please take your business somewhere else if you can’t waited 5min. Plus you let your dog roam the salon. We don’t rush any of our customer when we work on them so please be respectful and honestly I don’t need you to return you were really rude demanding to be treated like a queen. Over a polish change ???? Please don’t come back we will kind decline you from now on. Thank You soooooo much.
Jan 27, 2023Previous reviewI was on time for my appointment but had to wait 25 minutes to get my manicure. That is unacceptable.
Moreover, the manager was unapologetic and ignored my request for quick dry oil as they don't provide nail drying machines.
Finally, they neglected to inform me that $1.50 is added to your bill if you pay with a credit card.
Needless to say .... I won't be a returning. - Ali S.Manhattan, NY1362Jan 19, 2022
First time trying this salon. I wanted to like it as it's close to my house, and my manicurist was very kind attentive! Unfortunately, this is what my regular manicure (OPI polish) looks like 18 hours after leaving -- nearly every nail has chipped or peeled. Maybe they are better with gel or powder polish?
