I wish I would've read the reviews on this place before I moved with my family!!! ... I Don't Leave bad reviews because things happen but I'm going to try and help some else avoid this huge Disgusting Scam Of A Place .... This place is just DISGUSTING!! The fact I even have to put a star to write this review is ALOT !! The place is hideous completely outdated ! Our bathroom I've had to pressure clean it various times because they leak yellow sticky liquids down the walls , the roof ... every time we shower ! It's GROSS !! The roofs have leak marks all over the place ... COCKROACHES !!! This place is FULL of cockroaches !! They offer pest control But what's that any good when trash is literally being thrown everywhere ?? We got threatened to be fined if we left more then ONE bag of trash outside ... when they NEVER pick it up ... why offer valet trash services but the trash is never picked up ...we can't take the trash ourselves to the compactor because it's always full and full of trash and roaches and rats ... you expect for us to keep the trash inside our house ? Where there's HUNDREDS OF ROACHES . The laundry- I washed my clothes ONCE !! Never again !!! My clothes came out smelling like must and mold .. This is disgusting and unbelievable. I don't know how this place is even allowed to rent out to people with such hazardous conditions to be honest . The owner either does not care or these things aren't being told because this is just appalling .

The owner of the complex refuses to fix or replace the air conditioners in the laundry rooms! They also haven't fixed or replaced the laundry room door locks for safety. Teenagers, probably trespassers, come and just hang out when they want to in the laundry room. The owner needs to be more responsible and fix these problems!

Dog water management.
Stray cats roaming around.
There's a squirrel spawner somewhere around here somewhere.
Crack head lady mad she can see through a glass door.
Upstair neighbor sounds like he beats his animals.
Imagine getting fined for having your trash out on a Saturday.
Imagine asking them to fix something your first week of moving in, and they still haven't fixed it (I'm 2 months out from lease ending lmao)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I moved in September 14th and was out by November 30th. The location is great because your close to the mall, hospital and etc. unfortunately you will hear the train passing all thru the night nobody where you are on the property.(Which is not their fault but something to keep in mind. )
The apartments are In poor condition except for the model that they use to show. In order to have maintenance come out, you have to go to the office and hope they remember.Valet trash is something you must pay for which isn't a problem if the service was actually provided. The man in the front office is alone which I feel sorry for because he works hard from what I seen. When office "management " is there, they say they can't help you and to refer to him. I was 8 months pregnant and asked if the old a/c unit could be removed from my unit after sitting there the entire time I had been living there and the women in the office asked if it was too heavy for me to move ??? A clearly visible pregnant woman to move a whole a/c unit ? I even told them I was pregnant and Was paying for these services.
I soon found that in the same area, away from the train that there was nicer, cleaner , bigger , more amenities (like a in unit washer and dryer option and preferred parking) complex's for only a range of 25-50-100 dollars more then what they charge. I am happily paying the extra 100.00 for a cleaner, nicer and more comfortable living.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Madison G.Altamonte Springs, FL02Jun 9, 2020
I usually don't make reviews but this time I have to, so first off I have to say this place is TERRIBLE DO NOT STAY HERE! First off the rooms not bad but they are completely infested in thousands of cockroaches absolutely disgusting! Also when you file work orders no one ever gets back to you so everything is always broken!! Last but not least is that at the front desk there's a lady named Vanessa
She is absolutely terrible. She has the worst attitude doesn't get anything done and just shoots her mouth and talks back. That's why I'm moving out, thank god!!!!!!!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Cassie B.Oakland, FL152Oct 14, 2020
I highly Doooo not recommend this place what so ever. I have been bere since June 20th. Nothing but problems left and right. From the start of moving in where the cleaning was pitiful, there were painted over cockroaches in cabinets took them a week to even get the cleaning and painting right. Never cleaned the vents and the bathroom vent had to hound them to clean and left the mess after cleaning it. Cock roaches galore don't even come when supposed. While paying for that feature and to be asked to be put on the list like yes I've seen so many of them!!! Do not move here. They give you the run around and don't care! And just say sorry! It is what it is. Poor customer service and management have asked for corporate number many of times and the manager refuses to give to me

Talk about a bait and switch. This complex is nothing as advertised. I was shown one model and given the low grade, 1990s model. My unit upon moving in had a hole in the closet door, water stains on the ceiling, the luan board in the kitchen was discolored and falling apart, my dishwasher stunk to the high heavens and the central air smelt like mold. I put in numerous work orders with maintenance and it's no exaggeration that they never showed, in 6 months, I couldn't get a single person to show up at my complex. I was told my the front office that they'd notate in my file about the problems so it wouldn't be held against me when I moved. Ummm... ok.
The garbage is always overflowing at the dumpster, the pools are rarely cleaned and parking is a NIGHTMARE, the train the comes through about 6 times a night is the worst. My last straw was my neighbors got into a domestic fight, I called the police because I witnessed the man throw the woman down the stairs. Fast forward 2 weeks, the man is out of jail and he comes to my door and starts kicking. I called the police again, then called the office. I was told by the office it wasn't their problem and to continue to call the police when it happens. I was 5 months pregnant at the time, the next week I packed up and moved, broke my lease and never looked back.
The location IS great, near the hospital, the mall, Publix, Winn Dixie and parks. They should capitalize on their great location and fix up the complex. Update the units, empty the garbage, clean up the grounds, add more parking, hire reliable maintenance. The complex has potential but it's poorly run and poorly kept.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Martin L.San Francisco, CA011Apr 23, 2019
This apartment complex should be condemned by the board of health for roach infestation. I have attached a picture of all the roaches I killed in my kitchen after fogging... I moved in January 1st and have been battling large amounts of disgusting roaches. The office does not care...trust me on this one. There are roaches everywhere.....From the second day I moved in I have been plagued with them. I am OCD clean....never leave food or anything out nothing.....nobody is cleaner than me but my mother...lol...They have the nerve to charge you 5 dollars a month for pest control...are they kidding...the only thing that would stop these roaches is to bulldoze the whole building and rebuild. They do not show you your apartment when you move in......They show you a model and give you the old excuse that your place is not ready yet. Apartments have appliances from the 1980s and are dirty when you move in. Gross.....All they do is clean the rug...thats its folks...NOT TO MENTION I PAY 1000 DOLLARS A MONTH TO LIVE WITH DISGUSTING BUGS. I cannot wait to get out of here when my lease is up....I had to bomb my kitchen and bathroom with foggers and killed over a 100 roaches in my kitchen...A picture speaks a thousand words which is attached with this review...Please click on my name to see the lovely picture of all the dead roaches I swept up in my kitchen....You have been WARNED...

I'm currently in the market for a new apartment and I decided to check these out since they're near my office.
When the leasing agent walked me up to the 1 bedroom loft (which was super cute in the photos, btw) we heard some sort of fighting and talk of shooting someone. It was to the point that the agent left me to try to quiet them down because she was "showing off a unit". She later explained that the tenants were celebrating a child's birthday which would have been okay had they not been super drunk at 5:15 on a Monday night.
Red flag, folks.
The grounds themselves are in need of serious upkeep, but the leasing office is in spectacular shape. Don't be misguided from the pictures. Most of those are of the office.
The stairways were rusted and the units are made of mostly wood exterior.
Once inside the loft, I noticed that the appliances were extremely outdated and the paint on the drawers was hastily finished. Really not impressed.
I really loved the layout of the place on paper but it's not worth what they're asking. For that price, I should get updated counters/appliances. Also, drunk and disorderly neighbors on a monday right after work doesn't sit well with me.
This place may appeal to some, but not for me.Helpful 4Thanks 2Love this 2Oh no 2 - Brandi O.Altamonte Springs, FL1292Mar 13, 2017
Hello! I am a current resident at Charter Pointe Apartments. I have been here for 10 months now and it's honestly the best apartment complex I've ever lived in. I've lived in two others (both nice - one near Millenia Mall and one by Waterford Lakes).
My husband, baby and I are staying in a loft apartment that overlooks the main pool.
Why I love the place:
1) The loft layout is so cool. It's a smaller square footage but seems large because of the vaulted ceilings leading up to the second floor which has worked great as a small bedroom space.
2) The neighbors are friendly. They often helped me carry things up the stairs when I had baby in one arm and stroller in the other lol. It's a great community and pretty quiet.
3) More connection to nature than most apartments. There are A LOT of Oak trees!! Maintenance does really well keeping up with lawn care. There's a naturey courtyard in the center of most apartment buildings and the landscaping is great. There's also a great pond with a family of ducks near the back of the complex with a picnic bench. Our family visited it often to enjoy the sound of the birds.
4) Maintenance is fast and management is friendly. I've never had an issue with maintenance taking a long time to complete a request. When the new management company took over, they installed new water faucets to conserve water which is great for the bill! Maintenance people waive and smile when they see you and I love the main front desk guy - though I can't spell his name lol. Joaquin maybe? So sweet!
5) Location, location, location. It's less than five minutes from the altamonte mall and theater (and Whole Foods yesss!) about 10-15 minutes to the altamonte Costco and 5 minutes from I-4. Its close to Casselberry, Maitland and Winter Park (The Enzian & Trader Joe's aren't too far) and Orlando is super close when you take the interstate during non-traffic hours. We also love going to the springs which aren't too far and visiting Lake Lily which is right down the road!
6) It's the most affordable place I could find anywhere for the quality. We only pay $775 for the loft right now which is a huge steal in my opinion.
The expected cons that explain the lower cost:
1) The train. Our building is right across from the train tracks and the first time we heard the huge 2 AM train it almost made us jump out of bed (we had the sliding glass door open though lol). It doesn't wake me up anymore and I knew when I visited the place that this was going to be something we had to deal with. Our baby enjoys watching the train from the patio anyway and we look forward to them passing by during the day and there's only the one at night that I know of.
2) Older appliances. This was to be expected with the price of the place. They all function great - just definitely not all white/black or stainless steel.
3) Very little storage inside the loft. Also knew this when looking at the layout. We used the A/C closet and the space under the stairs for extra storage. We just put a tapestry up to cover it up which worked fine.
4) No washer/dryer connection in loft. Knew this as well. What was great about our place was we were right next to the stairs and the nicer main laundry room. You need a key to enter in and you use a laundry card for laundry. Only had issues Sunday nights with all units being taken - we just opted to do laundry at other times and never had an issue again.
In summary,
This place is a great value. It's relatively quiet, has nature throughout, is in a good location and has a great maintenance and management team.
5 stars for a great renting experience!
The only reason we're leaving is because of the baby. We need a bigger space and to be closer to work. We found a condo.
Our place is available late April 2017 if you're interested in trying out Charter Pointe for your new home.
Our home is filled with good vibes for you!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
