Grand Nails

Thursday May 19th I visited this nail salon with a friend for the first time. My first reaction was amazement at how nice and clean looking the place was. The employees were professional and friendly.

I wish I could say that my experience continued in that direction but it did not.

I choose to get dip powder on my hands and gel on my feet. The color I picked for my hands (as you'll see in my pictures) has a special sheen to it. Unicorn dust I believe it is called.

Well, unknown to me until I got my bill at the end of my services to have this done it was an extra $20. I totally understand certain "extras" need an up charge for the extra time and effort it takes to do. However, as this was the first time I was getting a color like this I was unaware it was anything extra. If I had been told ahead of time I would have picked another color.

Then to make matters worse my pedicure was less than what I expected & paid for. I choose the middle of the road option ($50) and as I stated before had gel polish applied. I had asked to have my nails trimmed short, which didn't happen. I'm aware it was my fault for not speaking up unfortunately I didn't notice until it was too late.

Now it is just over 2 weeks later (Friday June 3rd). I have 2 cracked nails, the $20 extra I paid for is coming off already, and 3 of my toes are completely void of gel polish. They didn't chip at all. Just fell right off. This is not my first time having my nails done. I've been able to go weeks at a time with no damage when using other salons. My friend that came with me has had similar problems as well.

Sadly, given the cost and the result I will not be returning to this salon. You can see my pictures as proof of the situation. I hope others have a better experience than I did.

Fabulous service! Loved the manager and girl who did my pedicure, the nail artist took the time to shape my nails and although the art did not quite match the picture I had shown, I had a great experience as everyone was extremely friendly and took the time to get the nail shape correct. Decent pricing as well, what you would expect for a full set and pedicure (total around $110 + tip) I will absolutely go back to get another full set of acrylics and pedicure!

This salon is in a strip mall and I never would have noticed it if I didn't get to check out the yelp reviews. I stopped in and my experience was just as good as the reviews. It's a very nicely kept salon that offers a variety of services and they take Covid protocols seriously.

Nail technician is friendly and highly skilled at doing nails. But charged me almost $90 for a full set w only 4 nails done w nail art. These prices make you loose customers! Never Again!!!

Went for the first time ever to get my nails done professionally here. It was horrible. They cut me twice on my fingers while clipping.

This is my second time coming to this salon and overall enjoyed my experience but I don't like the hidden fees. Gail did an excellent job, however she didn't tell me cutting my nails down and shaping them would be extra $. Especially since I got my last fill there by a new guy Duang which she asked me about and I told her yeah i got my last fill here. Overall Duang did ok but he didn't shape all my nails coffin nails well, rounded edges, humps. So to be charged for something that should've been done correctly the first time was kind of slap in the face since I didn't press it the fist time. Gail just told the cashier when she was done charge me extra for a reshape. Didn't tell me in advance or lmk. Tell me upfront and let me decide if I want the "extra service"!!!! I also asked the cashier beforehand if different colors were extra he said no then at rind out it was $5 extra. I mentioned this to him and he just kept saying it's all in your receipt. Good work but you will be nickel and dimed and ambushed at the register.

Stopped in here with a friend to get a powder dip. I am loyal to my salon that I've been going to for 5 years but again I went with a friend so why not!! First off it's so clean, it's huge, and everything is just pretty. I didn't have an appointment and it was a Saturday but I only waited about 8 minutes for a table to open up. They have so many colors to choose from for the powder, drinks too and they make Vietnamese coffee it smelled wonderful. I would definitely recommend this salon and I probably will go back!

I walked in this morning and got the most fabulous pedicure! They were welcoming even without an appointment and the tech was very good. I feel like a new woman right now! Kudos for the cleanliness, convenience and professional demeanor. I'll be back!

I try new nail salons all the time to find "the right one" for me, so I seen about 7 months ago Grand Nails opened up so I thought I'd give them a try! Well needless to say my experience was a grand one! I haven't been to another nail place since the salon is beautiful, the staff are all amazing, very friendly and welcoming, they actually hold a conversation with you and take their time with you and don't just rush you out, they make sure you're completely satisfied with what your asking for and make you feel "at home". The prices are decent and I would and have recommended Grand Nails to Everyone!! And also another absolute thing I can't forget is they are very sanitary! Such a great way to spend a few hours to relax and spend my well earned money. I'd give em 10 stars if I could!! Good job Grand Nails! Keep up the great work! - your Friend, Katrina.W.

My gel polish cracked within 5 days. I just went in to have it fixed. I was told it wasn't the polish that was cracked it was stained due to the "chemicals" I use as she proceeded to motion to her hair, not quite sure what that means. I have been getting my nails done here for a few months and have never had this problem before until now, nor have I done anything differently to cause this. I was told they could put a top coat on it instead of fixing it. Extremely disappointed I truly enjoyed this nail salon. I will say I'm a customer that comes in quietly and never complains. I was made to feel like a nuisance and not a paying customer. As a business owner in the area I would never make a client feel like I cannot help them when they haven't received the quality that they have paid for. It's hard to find a good nail salon in the area and I unfortunately thought this was one.
