Ordered the Ham and Salami Gourmet Sandwich, it was all bread and a thin slice of Ham and Thin slice of Salami! Not really worth the $17.99. I have to admit, service has been the worst ever ! If you sit inside, staff will forget about you, so sit out side where you can flag your waiter down ! Location is good and outside patio is nice, that's about it !

Noticed this place on the way to a holiday market at the Tobin. Commented on the name due to the similarity with one of my husband's favorite directors. Ended up there for lunch. Zero regrets!

Huge portions of satisfying, hearty, flavorful, fabulous food. We had so many leftovers! We had no idea the amount of food we were getting ourselves into...

Great place for a date or family/group dinner.

The only negative is that the bathroom needs more attention.

      This place has great pizza!!!

I came by to try the pizza, as it came highly recommended. I ordered a cheese pizza with mushrooms, chicken, beef fajita, and spinach, and it was delicious. The pizza tasted fresh, and it was huge!

The service was also great, and food didn't take long to come out.

The restaurant looks unsuspecting from the outside, but it's a great spot. It was filled when I came in, and although it is on the older side, the ambiance is very lively.

There is no parking since it is located downtown, but it looks like you might be able to find street parking nearby.

Prices are very fair for portions and not bad at all.

10/10 would recommend. I love this spot for a good pizza night!

Long story, short...the entrance hosts and bar staff, specifically, seemed to be bothered by our presence - most of the other employees appeared to be bored or bothered as well - except for Devin and our waitress (can't remember her name, but we were seated at the table in the very back) - they were exceptionally nice.

On a positive note - the food was spectacular! We had the jumbo shrimp Alfredo - the chicken parm - and the New York Manicotti! All delish!

Four stars for the entrance/bar staff lack of a welcome.

This Italian place is phenomenal the ambiance surrounds you with greenery. You have both an inside and outside environment. The wait staff is very communicative and kind. The drinks are made to perfection. They have happy hour 3pm-6pm and happy happy hour 6pm-8pm. The food is delicious never fails. A local San Antonio gem indeed a must visit. We ordered the spinach Artichoke and we ate every crumb. Came out warm plentiful and seasoned to perfection!

Haven't been in a long while and man I'm sad I haven't. Food is just how I remembered it. We actually ordered pick up but decided to chill on the porch because it was nice out. Service was great. Same great place. Same great food. The king Guillermo is awesome. Pizza was good. The empanadas were a surprise. Definitely all good. Go see em.

The service has significantly declined. Last night was the biggest disappointment. I had my heart on enjoying a Dos XX on draft with a Caesar and pasta salad. I received neither. Apparently they no longer carry that beer on draft (bottle only and it's costly). The hostess quoted us a 15 minute wait. Well, after waiting 30 minutes I approached the hostess stand only to be told two more minutes. She was very unapologetic. A moment later she proceeded to seat the couple who arrived after us. We waited five more minutes and ultimately left. The most mind blowing thing is we never received a call or text that evening to say our table was ready!

Good food, but service was very slow. Inside had a party, so we had to sit outside, but heaters worked well. Drinks were tasty, happy happy hour with $5 painkillers, pińa coladas, margaritas, blue Hawaiians, and a small variety of other drinks. There were shots as well.
Cesar salad was tasty with a garlicky flavor. Stromboli was perfect and filling as well as tasty. Nachos had chorizo, and that was a nice surprise, along with some leafy lettuce, which enhanced the flavor. Wine choices were limited, and a bottle was ordered for the table. Patio heaters were suffice for the weather, but it was rather noisy outside. Service was somewhat slow, possibly due to the private party, and it took some time to get drinks. I ordered tea and never got a refill, which at $3.99 for what was, I believe a 12 oz plastic cup was way too steep. I shouldn't have been charged for it. If I come back, I definitely will not order the tea unless they comp a glass for my lack of refills on this visit.

Having dinner at Guillermo's downtown was a really great experience. Running errands downtown took us to this lovely restaurant. I'm sure during the fall and winter eating outside in the patio is really nice. Those that enjoy the warm weather can have ice cold drinks in the sun.

My Sister and I shared food together, we tried the Spinach Artichoke Dip as an appetizer, Guillermo's Chicken Avocado Cesar & Pasta Salad, and the Stromboli. Each one of these was so delicious and I especially liked the Artichoke Dip and Salad. The Dip is so very flavorful with tons of garlic in it. Next level dip in this restaurant.

The service was spectacular, the young man was attentive and prompt. He had a great positive attitude and was very kind. The first thing they bring out is cold water on ice then ask for your drinks and give you a minute to order. After you made your food choices the food comes fairly quickly and onto enjoying your meal.

I really loved it here. I'm sure you will too. Take your family! Take your friends! Take Your Beloved, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Delicious food and good service are how I'd describe this visit to Guillermo's.

5/5 - Taste - I followed the server's recommendation and tried the pepperoni and sausage lasagna. It was an excellent choice. It was traditional lasagna, but filled with a layer of pepperoni and sliced, spicy Italian sausage. It was served piping hot with plenty of cheese, a delicious sauce and garlic bread. It comes with a side salad of your choice. And I opted for the house side salad. Although I was skeptical to try this at first because it was topped with so many different ingredients like green olives and pineapple chunks. But the combination came together well. And the portion was plentiful.

5/5 - Service - we were immediately seated upon entry. There was no wait at all and the restaurant offers both in and outdoor dining options. The server was also quite friendly and helpful. She made great food recommendations and had a very calm and professional demeanor.

Atmosphere - 3/5 - We chose to dine inside today. Unfortunately, the table and chairs were not very clean. On top of that, the table we had was very lopsided. I was a bit surprised of the overall condition of the inside dining area. Next time, I may opt for an outside table. Fortunately, the food and service were good.
