Paid half down to get fence work started. George Hernandez ghosted us with occasional communication just to keep us on the hook. Don't use him.

Do not use or trust George Hernandez of H & H Iron and Fence Co. We agreed for him to do a job for $5000. He asked for 1/2 up front which was $2500. I gave him the money. After repeated calls and text messages, nothing. He did not show up to do the work or pay me back when I requested that he do so. I will be filing a claim against him in small claims court. The guy is a crook and not to be truisted.

George Hernandez is a crook and a liar He took $3000 which was 1/2 of the agreed contract. He did nothing and wrote me a hot check to pay me back then closed his account. Now he doesn't respond. What a crooked business model. Now I have a theft of services claim with the Bexar county sheriff office on him.

I contacted George Hernandez to repair my side fence (about 22 ft). He charged me $800 for labor and to haul my old fence away (I think that was WAY too much but I needed it fixed). I purchased the pickets on my own. He said I would also need to replace 3 posts so I also bought the posts and concrete. The actual worker who came out said the posts were fine. George deducted $50 total from my cost. Should have been $50 per post at least. The worker did a great job on the fence but did not haul away the old fence. I paid George and the worker. George said someone would be by the next day (March 8th) to pick up the old fence. It's now March 31st. After a dozen texts and 6-8 unanswered calls, no one's picked up the old fence yet. George comes up with every excuse for the delay when he texts back, if he responds at all. If you hire George, be prepared for a struggle and delay to get the job done. I definitely would not pay him until ALL the work is done.
I give 5 stars to the worker that fixed my fence. Wish I could give George 0 stars.

Needed a well bldg and deck constructed. George of H&H fence said could and would build it and start Monday. Monday came and went. No George, no call. Called him. He said got busy and assured me he would start following Monday. Monday came and went. No call, no George. This man's word means nothing to him, so his word and business should mean nothing to you.

They did an amazing job on our new fence!! Even though the weather prevented them from starting on time, George was great at communicating with us. They completed it in a timely manor and looks wonderful. Glad we choose them to build it it for us!!
