H & R Movers AZ Review
Very unfortunate experience, not only the physical damages done to our appliances but the lack of customer service. It was great over the phone but a nightmare afterwards. See below for details:
The service to move some appliances was requested for a Monday at 11:30am, the owner advised the charge was $200, for two man.
Sunday night, he contacted us to advise that he had a change of plans and could only make it at 7am, unfortunately, we were in a rush to get those appliances and agreed to change the time last minute and cancel the plumber that was going to help out to plug in all the stainless steel appliances such as a dishwasher, refrigerator and stove.
Monday comes, and the owner shows up by himself. The appliances were not even covered with any blankets.
He struggles to get in the appliances by himself through the doors, and drags the refrigerator scratching it, as I call him out he said - no, i'm not. Then proceeds to complain about me calling him out.
The pain of seeing things getting damaged proceeded, fortunately our handy man was able to help him get the refrigerator in.
At payment, he was paid for the amount he requested and got a $20 tip. Shouldn't have happened but it did. While he wrote "No damages" on the receipt, we corrected it to state "Damages".
The following week, I proceeded to contact HR Movers to attempt to file a complaint. I leave a voicemail. Days later, we receive a call from a very nice lady asking for the dolly that was left in the backyard. We then followed-up by asking her if she was also calling re the voicemail left regarding filing a complaint. She then said her phone lines were not working correctly and that she wasn't aware of any damages but that was going to contact us to follow-up. The owner then followed up by calling to threaten me that if we leave a bad review he will then let everyone know not to hire us for our business. Sadly, it took me a while to leave a review but was concerned on how he was going to react being so new in Tucson, this was a HORRIBLE experience.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I am sorry to say but this ladies but used appliances out of abandoned house that was getting remodeled and didn't realize how scratch they were until we actually pulled them out of their spots that you proceeded to try and get us to repair damages that were already there that's why she tipped us because she was aware of it but they've thought that maybe she could get some paint done to it for free and her handyman did not help us get it through the door he was behind it and gave it a little tug that was it so as you can see this lady is an exaggerator and I will stay away from her business because she's in real estate and I wouldn't let her call me into buying or selling a house from her

Don't use this company. They intimidated and threatened to take my furniture and dump it if I went upstairs to supervise the move. They damaged my bedroom furniture. And threatened me if I did not sign that there was no damage. They did not complete the move. They left 2 TVs my damaged bedroom set in the apartment. I took a video of everything but I do not know how to download it.

We've looked all over our schedules paperworks and receipts and we have no authorized paperwork saying that we moved you but if you would like to give us a call with a little more information we would be happy to take care of anything that you're upset about but if you are a competitor you should not put fake reviews just to be competitive towards our company we are a five-star red carpet professional moving company that everybody that we moved in our 30 years is very satisfied

Very nice guys. Impressed with the time that it took considering there were only two when I had booked three. Unfortunately, the boxes marked as fragile were not treated that way, and I've found four broken items so far, one of which, is irreplaceable. A few dings on the wall as items were moved in.

You tipped us $100 and you had your friends there carrying all your unwrapped fragile boxes in their pickups and vehicles and you also had construction going on while we were unloading our truck and it was pretty early in the morning for you and your friends to be taking shots of whiskey and drinking alcohol but we understand your celebrating buying a house but I wish you could have focused more on the move of how fast and 100% red carpet professional service we did for you you would have been very well impressed with a five-star rating but we thank you for your business and we also gave you a discount because the third man had an emergency and you were well aware of it before we got there you would have realized we did no damages there's no way of any items getting broken in a tote or box unless it's crushed or dropped we never did any of that if there was damages of your packing is because your totes and boxes were not wrapped properly

My husband and I got the unpleasant notification a couple of months ago that our management company had chosen not to renew our lease. We both have some disabilities, and my husband has a lot of chronic pain after a car accident a year ago. We had some friends come in to help get things boxed up after a terrible experience with another moving company, who told me one thing and my husband something completely different.
I decided to be proactive and look on Angie's List for reputable moving companies, and H & R was the first one that came up. Robert was incredibly nice on the phone, and I knew right away they were the company we would go with.
Our movers, Shawn and Leo, are THE BOMB. We were notified yesterday they'd be a little later than originally scheduled, but that was fine. I had some last minute stuff to take care of anyway, so I certainly wasn't going to be unhappy about a couple extra hours to get stuff finished up.
There was construction on my street, so unfortunately they had to park BEHIND our apartment and then move everything that way, especially since everyone and their brother were parked where the moving truck should have gone.
I'm going to be totally honest, it is always REALLY hard for me to relax, particularly when I feel like I should be doing things and aren't. After a while I just got comfortable on the couch and let them take care of it. They even moved my heavy-ass armoire with (mostly) the greatest of ease. (As a good friend of ours said about the armoire the last time we moved, "eff that heavy ass thing, I am NEVER moving it again."
We also have a tricky cal king bed frame that needed to be taken apart. No problem. Also found out that there were roaches (ew) nesting underneath it. When they got to our new house, we sprayed it down with Raid to make sure they weren't our welcoming committee.
Overall, Leo and Shawn, plus H & R Moves You, have done an amazing job helping us during a crazy stressful time, not just for us but America in general. I cannot recommend them enough.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

The worst moving experience I've had. I'm still finding broken items, such as a box labeled FRAGILE on all sides in red that has broken antique china in it. They were bouncing items, such as our TV, off of our brand new apartment front door as they carried them in. I've had to repaint walls that they smacked, repaint the front door where they chipped and gouged it. Never again.
Edit: check your records again... Monday the 16th, probably in my husbands name. Rita ranch, less than a mile move.
Perhaps it should be a red flag that on every bad reviews you've had you immediately attack the author. I'm not your competitors leaving you a bad review but I will use your competitors when we move again in a few months.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Please do we do not like moving people's junk that is packed incorrectly and expecting it lottery winnings from businesses that you try to scam we've got thousands of happy customers we tried to refuse your move as we got there we had a bad feeling about you from the beginning so good luck in the future and try not to scam the next movers that move you

In a bind because of a short notice move - I called H & R Moves You and Robert took my call. We only gave 48 hours notice but Robert said "No problem! See you Saturday". Then he, along with two others, Daniel and Leo - arrived on time the day of move. All 3 men came in with 'can-do' attitudes and quickly got to work. 3 hours later they had moved 75% of our things. All 3 were great, and hardworking, fast and efficient. But let me tell you - Daniel was a BLAST! While he worked - he continuously chatted with us, joked with us, was personable, took quality care of our belongings and was just absolutely exceptional. You could use a big well known company - and pay through the roof for services that may be good - OR you could call H & R Moves You and receive quality service for a fraction of the price! I can't say enough good things! Btw - yes, ONE thing broke. But who moves with zero broken items ever? 99.9% of the time - it's not the movers, it's how it's packed. So ignore the dumb one star reviews that say "my items broke". Because there's no way this company isn't taking GREAT care of your items!!

Although the movers were very nice people, their moving service was very poor. Due to issues the day prior, our move that was scheduled at 8am was pushed to 10am, which was understood. Unfortunately, the movers did not arrive until noon without any phone call at 10 or 11 stating that they were running late. The process seemed like it had gone alright, however, a multitude of dings, scratches, and broken items were discovered days later. One of two desks that were moved was broken in half and there were multiple dents put into walls at both houses. While I understand that two story houses are hard to maneuver, the company did not seem to care about keeping items protected, they just worked to get things in and out. They didn't take care to pull out shelf hardware, and because of that it was lost - shelves can't be put back into bookshelves.

As he explained his job was done around a month ago I was on the job personally. We arrived 2 hours late and he was very well notified. Once we got to his location to pick up his items he showed us everything that was going and said it was only a one bedroom when it was a three-bedroom two-story house he was untruthful in that Part. But that was fine it was a hundred and fifteen degrees outside and we decided to give him a full service move as we started to move his items he had disappeared and was nowhere to be found so we could not show him the scratches and Nick's he had on his furniture before we got started as we do for all our customers before we put them on the truck so we don't get blamed for them as we unload. Once we got loaded we moved on to unload at his new home and the house was a lot smaller than the one he moved out of and had us move the majority of it in the garage and in his bottom floor living room as we took up the stuff that we could he was very happy and appreciated of it. And for his desk the presswood I explained to him before I took it apart that these are very difficult to put back together because the press wood starts to split it's one of those type of furniture that you should put together one time and never take apart again and he was more than happy to tell me to go ahead and do it. For his pegs and his bookshelves we took all shelves out of all furniture is pegs he knows that very well as we asked him for sandwich bags and put the pegs and hardware of the desk in his own sandwich bags. if he misplaced them after weeks later I'm sorry and it's not that we wouldn't help him repair his furniture is that none of it was caused by us except the desk which I explained to him very carefully that it would not be insured And we have a 3-day claim policy which I would have even gave him a week but he did not notify me for almost a month later. It seems to me because it's been so long after he moved all his furniture around the inside of his home he noticed the scratches. that we did when we pulled them out of his old house but he was not there so we could not show him. but he does know I called him at the beginning to let him know about scratches and chips on his furniture and he said he knew about them. do not worry about it and I let him know I wish he would have stayed there cuz I don't want him to think we did it as we tell every customer show them everything before it goes on the truck. we have trucks fully equipped with all the supplies we need to move a house .he thought he might give it a chance by calling us. all his nicks and scratches were there and we do not ensure that desk and for his pegs he wasn't honest about that because he gave us the sandwich bags so we could put them in the bags and hand them to him. But Nick is a very nice guy and I wish him well and I hope he enjoys his new home

The company sent two people to assemble a playhouse for my daughter in the heat of Tucson in the playground at noon. The guys did a fantastic job. Their boss called me several times before their arrival to inform me about the plan. It was a great experience and I will definitely work with them again.

Don't do business with them. How does someone who claims to "be in business for over 24 years" have such bad ratings and a small amount of reviews? AVOID THIS "BUSINESS"!
This is my brief experience and review of what happened with this company.
They pulled up in an unmarked van, no logo or business decal, only one of the two workers had a company shirt. When the workers had to do a background check, one of them got denied access to the private property. The worker said their probation officer said they were ok to go on to the installation. Well the one worker got denied and banned for 20 years due to the policy's in place. So I did not want to do business with them anymore.
The owner then replied to my original comment and said he would sue me. He has harassed me in my messages and I have the screenshot to prove it to anyone that wants to verify the legitimacy of how unprofessional this owner is. He changes his replies often as well.
I don't know about anyone else but I sure wouldn't want anybody that's been in trouble with the law around my family. Stay safe everyone!Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Business owner information

Ricky,
You called into to inquire about using our moving services and we sent a truck and two movers out within the hour. This is the reason they were in an unmarked truck. One of the two movers had a suspended license and therefore could not get on base to complete your move. I know of no other local company that accommodates customers that quickly, one hour! Also, he was not a criminal, he had a suspended license. You called off our service and we never completed the move for you. It is unfortunate because we guarantee satisfaction at H & R Movers. I apologize for my harsh texts but I am extremely frustrated with Yelp and their business practices. They filter my positive reviews and publish the negative ones making it very difficult to maintain a good Yelp rating. I'd appreciate it if you would please consider removing your review since you never used our services. Thank you for your time. Feel free to call me or message me back through Yelp anytime.
