Health and Wellness of Carmel

I have been with Dr. Fetters and other providers since 2015. Without a doubt, after a horrible experience with traditional healthcare and the physician options my "insurance provider" gave, he truly saved my life. He was the only doctor to take the time to investigate my condition, yes, we had to try different treatments and approaches. In the end, I would rather pay the difference in what insurance covers vs. what it doesn't at Health and Wellness.
Those patients that have obviously not experienced trauma in the real system, seem to be the ones giving bad reviews. Since when is any healthcare cheap? Especially if you have rare diseases, which he specializes in fighting.

Dr Fetters is very knowledgeable about holistic medicine. He is thorough and very understanding. I refer my patients to him all the time.

HWOC seemed like a good fit. Unfortunately, Dr. Fetters made me extremely uncomfortable. He didn't try to hide the fact that he was in it for the money and not for my health.

I paid for services and products I never recieved and as soon as I stopped unquestioningly throwing money at them, they became unresponsive to any follow up questions I had.

They didn't even give me scientific answers on any of questions about treatments. I am very pro holistic health, but I also want to at least know the mechanism of action of any procedure I undergo. If you can't tell me how it works, why would I trust that it will work? Even a simple "We don't understand it yet but we have seen the results," would have been more reassuring than their lack of response.

I would likely go back if I needed specific procedures as they are the only clinic in the area which offers some of them, but I would be happier to travel to a more trustworthy clinic, too.​

I am a new patient with Doctor Fetters and this clinic and my experience are completely different than the negative reviews. Doctor Fetters is one of the best doctors I have ever seen and I've been treated at Mayo and Johns Hopkins (JH). I would rate him and his staff top 1%. He is also one of the sharpest individuals I have ever met. The blood workup done by him found tons of problems with my health that Mayo or JH never found. Thanks to his expert knowledge I am on my way to getting better and I am very grateful.

Carmel Health and Wellness should be called Carmel Health & Racqueteering! You can only afford it if you are independently wealthy! They charge $500/hr! You pay $250 up front and if your insurance doesn't pay the other half--well you do. I don't know anyone whose time is worth $500 an hour! Stay away! Even if you could get help, one cant afford it--they are not out to heal they are out for your wallet!

Finally a place that looks for the reason behind symptoms not just throw medicines at you!

While I have a ways to go to be well, Amanda Patchett, FNP-C listens to me and thinks outside the box to figure out the root of the issues by ordering tests, usual and not so usual, or by recommending a supplement known to help. I am so much further than years before and hoping we are heading the right direction to get me 100% soon!

Would not recommend Health and Wellness of Carmel, especially Jerry Weber. Jerry falsely claims that he has his "doctorate" from a school that does not offer a doctorate degree. Almost scheduled with them until I realized this while researching naturopathic doctors. Does not reflect good on Health and Wellness of Carmel either, and I will no longer seek any of their services.

Would give zero stars if I could. Most unsanitary spa I've ever been to. Total rip off for services performed with subpar service.

This is a very unique practice. The practitioners at Health and Wellness go above and beyond what my previous PCP would do. I had unexplained symptoms and health issues that traditional medicine "pushed under the rug." The staff appeared very competent and caring; they took the time to explain things to me and made me feel very at home. I highly recommend their nurse practitioner Amanda Patchett. She helped me uncover the root cause of my unexplained issues. When my insurance denied some labs, the billing department and nursing staff went above and beyond to resubmit my claim and it came back at 100% covered. My hope is that more physicians will go against the grain and learn about functional medicine. I'd give 10 stars if I could!
