Hibachi Express & Poke Bowl

We ordered dinner this evening and we were absolutely blown away! The sauces were so good, the food was fresh and so flavorful! The portion was absolutely HUGE! Definitely will be ordering again!

We moved here in August, was happy to hear that there was a poke place here in Ashland. We had not had poke since we lived in Hawaii, it was fantastic, service with a smile and it is our favorite place for great food, location and service.

Food was pretty good but took like 25 minutes for food to come out. Salmon portions were a joke. Felt bad for the person in our party who ordered that. Probably wouldn't go back.

Food is fresh and the atmosphere is clean. Service is excellent. The employees are friendly and helpful with choosing your food. It was my first time trying this restaurant, and it will not be my last. I got the Poke Bowl with Spicy Crab and Spicy Tuna. It was delicious.

Food was great. Staff was great. I couldn't even finish my lunch portion it was so big. Fountain drinks and utensils easily placed. Highly recommend for a quick bite.

We wanted to try out Ashland's new Hibachi Express and Poke Bowl as both my husband and I love Asian food. It was generally disappointing. We ordered hibachi salmon and hibachi steak and shrimp. The meals had very little meat. Expect to receive a large container of rice with a small side of meat/vegetables. The flavor was fine but not impressive - about a notch below Panda Express. When asked, we told them we would dine in. Our meal was then prepared in to go boxes and placed on the counter in a plastic bag (as if it were a to go order). The place seemed over staffed, but perhaps they were training. They all just hung out chatting behind the counter. In summary, it was cheap food presented poorly but in a pleasant space. (The building is cool.)
We did not try the poke bowl, so I'm giving it three stars instead of one in hopes that those are better than the hibachi.

Portions were more than generous although the food was mediocre at best (wife liked hers, I didn't like mine). Service was fast although the transvestite at the counter needs to keep their preferences out of the workplace. Paying customers do not need nor want to know. Business is Business, private is private and should be kept separate.

Great poke bowl customize to make it your own. Ordering online is easy and food is ready fast. Friendly cashier asked to see confirmation text on pickup and right out the door. Hibatchi is good but the poke bowl is where it is at.

First time visiting Ashland in a long time and I was really excited to have dinner with the family! I heard about this restaurant and I LOVE hibachi so we went for it. Sadly, the food didn't live up to the hype. There were some hits and misses. The egg rolls and crab Rangoons were delicious! The portion size for the price was also good. The entree I got had shrimp, chicken and steak with fried rice. This is were it went downhill for me. The chicken was over cooked and very dry. The steak was so tough to the point that I felt like I had to chew it 100 times so I wouldn't choke (I almost did once actually). All of it, including the fried rice that didn't have any veggies in it, tasted like they didn't even attempt to season it. They hit it with couple of splashes of soy sauce from the sauté that I guess was suppose to do the trick. Just totally not what I expected from hibachi. This may have been a one off, I don't know. I sure hope so though.

Have now been there 3 times. The first was on opening day. It was very slow but that was understandable. The last 2 times the service has been much faster and friendly. The chicken was very dry on my last visit. I covered it in yum yum to make it better. Not a bad place to eat lunch but not great either
