IQ Nails and Spa

Had a very positive experience at IQ nails. I recently moved to the area and after 2 horror stories at other salons I took 6 months off from any nail work.

I went in skeptical given my past experiences, and I was so pleasantly surprised, and didn't realize what an impact a good manicure was about to have on me.

My tech was named Yohanna, and she was meticulous about my shape - which is so important to me as I am very particular. She spent good time cleaning my cuticles to prep. And then applied my gel polish to perfection. I didn't have to even ask for extra coats - it's like she knew for a much lighter shade it needs a little building so that it isn't see-through.

This is the ONLY salon in LBI/Manahawkin area I would recommend.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place. I have been coming here for awhile and as much as I liked my nail tech , the staff and the ownership were extremely rude. I had an experience recently that left me so upset that I left in tears. Rather than post anything publicly I asked if the owner could call me to discuss. I called again and asked to speak with the owner. No reply.
As a business owner, I don't normally put this negativity out there. However, as a customer, I don't think you should be made to feel uncomfortable while spending your hard earned money.
It appears that the ownership does not care. So here's my honest review.

So cross this one off your list. Tonight was my second visit for a gel manicure. At my first visit the technician was 20 mins late and a little rough but overall ok pedicure and gel manicure.
Tonight, I arrived early and was told to pick out my color for my 530 appt. After waiting 20 mins and seeing many of the technicians starting to pack up to leave, I asked the woman if there was a problem with my appt. She said they were running behind and someone would help me soon. I noticed the technician who worked with me last tome just started applying color to a client for a gel manicure so I knew I would have another 20 mins on top of the 20 I already waited. They moved me to a station where no one was working, figuring I guess that would help.
Once seated I noticed the technician and other woman began going back and forth pointing at each other. Although I don't speak their language it was very clear that no one wanted to help me.
After a few minutes of this, I went back to woman at desk and said I was leaving since I didn't need to give them my business if they didn't want me as a customer.
Customer service is just as important as how you do your job. Sorry not sorry!

I had a gel manicure today by Andy ! He was friendly and gentle and really did a great job. The only negative is that it was a little expensive but I didn't have an appointment and only had to wait a few minutes.I will definitely go back to him.

Pedicure - is excellent- from the trimming - removing callous etc to the massage. I drive 1.5 hrs bc I cannot find a comparable salon.

As always very impressed with my manicure and my pedicure, and normally I am extremely picky when it comes to my nails. For months I tried many place around the area and all of them were either too expensive or my nails turned out horrible. A couple of months ago I decided to give IQ a try and haven't been anywhere else since! Very professional, clean and reasonably priced for the outstanding job they do.

I needed to find a nail place down here, and I have to say I am thrilled! I can do acrylic myself...no time, and am very particular where I go, and look for perfection. First time here and I will definitely be back! Anna did such a beautiful job with everything...the shape, the design...perfect

Love this place. While the appointments are longer than I am used to, the quality of work is high. Daisy was friendly and pleasant. I will return for sure.

I went for my birthday to treat myself to acrylic nails. I legit havent gotten my nails done since I was like 12 for a cruise I went on so I was disappointed when I couldn't get the design I wanted and since I didn't know what was a complicated design from not I let my nail tech decide for me and wow! I loved them! I got lots of compliments on them too! I feel like some of my nails feel more rugged than the others. I feel like some of the nails are pointier than others too like some are definitely more rounded like the traditional "almond" shape (yes I looked that up lol) and some have like a tiny little point idk if that's normal but it's convenient for scritches. The only thing I wasn't that happy about was when I called to get an appt for my nails to get filled and nobody answered the phone and didn't get a call back either. I would have went back but have already made an appt to go somewhere else now. The salon seemed nice with really nice chairs for pedicures and they had lots of color options. Overall it's a decent place to go

12 days later a full new gel set only for all of them to be chipping lifting and falling off. What a waste of $65
So disappointed
