Been coming here for years.
Pricier than other grocery stores, however they have a convenient location and decent hours.
Most people don't get more than 15 items, so getting in and out is not a problem.
Some items, like their fresh squeezed orange juice and guacamole made on site, are amazing.
Pies and other pastries can be a hit or miss.
Nice selection of fruits and veggies from local vendors.
My husband and other yelpers have mentioned their lack of customer service.....but I never have a problem when calling in with questions to check on product availability

Mylani T.Newport Beach, CA011Mar 22, 2024There is a Hispanic guy who was absolutely rude and disrespectful to me and my family. We have a Cane Corso who is fully trained to support me. From the eyes no I don't "look like I have a disability" but I do and this man kicked me and my dog out even when I offered multiple times to show him all certifications and ID for my Cane Corso who, everyone in the store loves and recognizes. Including other employees that know my dog Astro by name. He said in exact words "I don't need to see any paperwork just leave" I was so disgusted I left all my groceries. I used to come here every week but that was terrible I won't be back.

On Sunday after enjoying a fabulous early morning breakfast at a fav spot in Newport Beach we popped in here on the way home. We parked our wheels out front around 9.15am. It's certainly much bigger on the inside than it looks from the parking lot. I guess you could say it's an old school style supermarket......huge range of name brands and many things we don't see at chain supermarkets. Prices in some categories were a little on the high side...more than Whole Foods Market. The beer section was a big disappointment....small range of everyday beers and no marked prices. They featured a huge wine section near the front entrance if that is your thing. My wife on the other hand loved some of the stuff on the shelves.....old school sweets she remembered from her childhood. THE DENTAL BILLS SAY NO ! I saw large Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice at a very competitive price. We ambled around the whole store for a few minutes. THEY HAVE A LOT OF STUFF ! My wife thought the cake section looked good...loves cake ! In the end they stocked enough of the things on our list that we decided to buy it all here instead of making another stop near home. We bought 1 x large Lactaid 2% reduced fat milk, Blue Lake green beans, Organic Mango, Haagen-Dazs ice cream bars, Crab Cakes, Brussels Sprouts and a slice of Chocolate Raspberry Cake. Friendly service at the checkout !

33415359499Jan 26, 2023Amazingly, both my wife and I are in agreement that we never want to shop here again. Weird, unfriendly staff at every department.
First stop was the deli to get prepared foods and sliced turkey. Unsmiling unfriendly staff didn't want to give me extra plastic bags so I could repackage the deli items.
Next stop was the meat department to get ice for the frozen foods we were purchasing. The clerk had a look like we were bothering him. I had to suggest he get it from the seafood dept, and we made him walk to the back of the seafood dept to get the ice.
Last was check out.... Both the cashier and bagging clerk were again unfriendly and made us feel we were bothering them.Helpful 6Thanks 2Love this 3Oh no 1
112641550Oct 16, 2023Updated reviewI absolutely adore Irvine Ranch Market, literally anything that comes out of here is gold. I love their guacamole so much. Also I loce that they have ready to eat meals that you can pick up. Perfect for lunch when you don't know what to eat. I have also tried their deli sandwiches and they load these things up. It's also the only market around upper newport bay so it's certainly convenient. I stay coming here for anything and everything.

I noticed there wasn't many grocery stores in Newport itself, and they were mostly in Costa Mesa. I literally drive past this place almost everyday as it is super close to home. It looks super tiny from the outside, but it fools the eye. You go in and it is literally HUGE. They have everything a market has. Produce, bakery, massive meat department, alcohol, cards/gift bags, a Boar's head station, sushi, ready made meals, and everything else a normal store would have. What impressed me the most is their meat department. It is literally bigger than the one at Whole Foods in Fashion Island. They honestly just have so much stuff here, organic and non organic. Parking is easy. Customer service is great. Truly a gem for us NB folks.
