Ivy Nails Spa

Meh. I went in prior to Christmas. I was visiting family in area, having come from a major city in another state. No one referred it but saw it one day and thought I would try it. Mistake.
I was the customer for the male that works there, I never got his name.
Within the first 5 minutes, he made a few misogynistic remarks to me. I was floored. When I called him out on it, He just laughed it off like it was no big deal. Wow okay. This place hires azzholes. He sang, giggled throughout the service . I just wanted out of there as soon as possible. Very unprofessional. His behavior would never fly in any professional nail salon, why does it here ?
Well looking at these reviews, I see now.
To add to this terrible visit, Their smoke detector beeped every 30 seconds. I brought it to his attention and he said really ? I thought you seriously cant hear that - it's loud ! That's an indication of the quality of business and employees there- no one can take 5 minutes and change a battery? I wonder what else they ignore? Sanitizing ?
Perhaps the city fire inspector should stop in. I can guarantee that they probably never changed the batteries.
Save your money. It's an assembly line place with mediocre quality and boorish employees

Salon experience was meh overall, although when I got there the appointment that I had set with my friend wasn't in their system so instead of my full set being at 1:00pm, it ended up being done around 1:45pm. Even with the appointments, my friend still didn't get in at 1:00pm like set, she got it around 1:30.
My nails were okay, I was charged $5 for an "extra long nail", which wasn't discussed at all, since my nail tech didn't mention anything about the length I chose. They were all the same length and weren't an excessive length either. Gel on a full set was +16$.
The nails were streaky in places but the nail tech was friendly so I looked past it.
They definitely overcharge and need to update prices on their website!
My friends nails were cute but her length and style she wanted wasn't followed.

Went in for a pedicure with a friend and the girls who did the pedicures were lovely. However, my friend asked an employee, Taylor, a question and she was incredibly rude. Taylor acted like we were inconveniencing her with our presence and condescending to my friend. The pedicures did turn out fine, but the attitude of Taylor will prevent us from returning.

I took my daughter (5 years old) here for a pedicure with me on a Sunday. We had to wait quite a while which is no issue, I didn't have a reservation or anything, and it was a weekend. Our pedicures were done well and we are happy with that.

However, my issue is this place was not clean. It was clear as day that they haven't done any housekeeping or cleaning in a month if not more. Stuff on the floor, stains that could easily be mopped up, cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling. The bathroom trashcan had brown stuff splattered all over it. It was truly alarming at a business being this unkempt.

Save your money and go to NY Nails right down the road. The receptionist at this place? So incredibly rude, not asking people to move so she could put dip powders and polishes away, instead opening drawers and expecting them to move and hitting your leg in the process.

Picture this... You go in there and find the most perfect blue color for vacation to use on one of their 169 nail color pallets. Well forget that color because they're probably out of that one and any shade even close to it. Just make sure you ask when you go in for a pallet that has colors that are actually available or you'll waste your time finding one you like.

While on the topic of time, make sure to make an appointment and go during the week. If you don't, you'll spend two hours on a Friday or Saturday finding that perfect shade they don't have while they poorly manage their time. I went in today for a pedicure and my poor feet soaked for NINETY MINUTES. Not sure how in the hell they painted those raisins. My sister waited that amount of time just to get seated for her nails (and sat for ten minutes while her nail tech looked totally lost).

Don't use the skinny male nail tech there if he sits at your table. Apparently my friend doesn't have cuticles because he touched each nail for half a second and then applied dip powder to her nails AND the skin around it. Lucky her! She also had to pay $25 for whatever a "manicure" is and $45 on top of it for the dip powder? Wtf is a manicure then?

Just save your hard earned cash and go to NY Nails. I left Ivy to go there and have them fix my sh**** nails, and they were super nice, squeezed me in, and charged me a reasonable minor fee to fix them.

If you want poor customer service and to spend 4+ hours in the salon, go to Ivy! They'll take great care of you! ;)

I paid good money for my daughter to have acrylics out on- not even cut to the length she asked nor filed down correctly. Hurt so much she had to take them off 2 days later. Very disappointing

Awful unsanitary hidden costs and hungry unprofessional unkept staff. Went here for a pedi with my hubby and the girl who did my toes was starving and wanted to drink while doing my toes. They don't change the plastic of after each person they keep them on. I will not ever go back and do not recommend them unprofessional and dirty.

People were nice but the lady that did my nails cut me, left my nails super lumpy, and when she painted my nails she didn't even cover my whole nail. I payed $70 dollars for nails that I'm super unhappy with. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Very rude!!! Spent over $400 for 4 manicures and pedicures for my family. The one employee was asking my niece (who was pregnant) very inappropriate questions (whether she was married, whether they lived in a house or apartment, how long they have known each other). My niece clearly was feeling uncomfortable, but she continued!!

I asked for French tip powder... they said they could do it. Then 2 unskilled employees couldn't do it. A third tried and said it couldn't be done. Then, a customer shows me her nails!!! And guess what?!? Hers were done exactly as I wanted!!!! The employee told me to go elsewhere if I wanted that done. They needed to close. So then she rushed through my nails and they looked horrible!!! So I told her I wouldn't pay for them. So she said she would fix them, but I would have to pay for them first!!! What!!??


I said NO WAY. I'll just go to Luxury nails done they don't close until 9. She grabbed my hand and started to try again. So she redid them... they still look like a 3rd grader did them.

i would rather say negative. I went there for the very first time today & never again I paid $52 and some change for the nail tech Taylor she rushed through didn't talk much had an ear piece in and kept looking at her phone. I had a fill I. and she asked if I wanted them cut down & I said a little it was way more than a little. They are not all smooth or the same length at one point I had to tell her that one was very jagged. She filed but didn't even dust them off before starting to apply the acrylic to them. She didn't push back the cuticle nothing. My daughter sat down in her tech's chair approximately 5-10 minutes before me and I was done way before her she had a cute design & her nails were beautiful mine were not. NEVER AGAIN. Cost way to much for the rush job & worrinag about her phone. Taylor when you are on break is when you should check or be on your phone not while doing someone's nails. That is why you didn't get a tip
