Buyer beware, these guys are SHADY.
The technician who came to our house asked for the service fee in cash then denied having received in and sent us a bill for the same charge we already paid.
When we tried to get it resolved they get very hostile.

THIS IS A FLAT OUT LIE!
You have a Home warranty company that you owe a deductible to that we did not collect from you. When the home warranty came calling to collect your deductible you claimed that you payed the tech that was out there a "tip" in cash. I'm not sure how a tip even constitutes a deductible set by your warranty plan. Whether you did or did not I cannot say as I don't know nor have any evidence to prove otherwise. Next time you should be more aware of the terms of your home warranty as we don't get paid by the home owner we get paid from the warranty company.
You called me the first time a couple months back and were telling me that you don't have any money to pay your home warranty. I pulled up the invoices and nothing was collected from you in terms of payment on our end and you do have a responsibility to pay your deductible. That is completely out of our hands and theres no way I can change that unless I tell them you paid and then they will go after us for the money.
Fast forward to 2 days ago you called again with the same story and got hostile with me and kept hanging up the phone and calling back expecting a different result. I told you I couldn't prove any of your stories from both parties all I can see is whats on the invoice and what terms your home warranty has. You also threatened me that you would yelp a review and have all your friends do it which apparently now you did.
Please do not call me again as the next time I will report you to your warranty company and have them deal with it. I will also defend myself and my company against your accusations that you have no proof of. I called them because there address says , RIVERSIDE. , but they say.. they DO NOT service in Riverside. They should not advertise if they don't service

They were called to repair evaluate my elderly mother's oven. The technician showed up and when I asked why he's not wearing a mask or gloves his reply was "4000 people died in California so it doesn't make a difference to wear a mask and gloves.!" Just awful!! Don't put people at risk !!!! I would have chose a zero rating if I could!

I was a bit wary of using our home warranty to repair our oven because we did not have a good experience using it for our water heater, but we decided to give it another try. Our home warranty claim assigned us to J.I.M. Appliance Repair and they gave us a call back no less than an hour after we made our claim. They were even available to come the same day (although we had to pick a date further out because we weren't going to be home).
Our technician was named Ken. He arrived around 11am (our timeframe was between 10am and 2pm). His diagnosis was quick and what we expected (display needed to be replaced). The part was available in their shop and was approved by Old Republic within 2 hours or so, and he came back at 3:10pm to do the repair. It only took him 20 mins to complete! Ken even gave me some extra advice about extended the care of our oven, which I really appreciate.

I don't leave reviews often but I wanted to say that i am super impressed! Earlier this week my dryer broke down and I was so worried that I was going to have to get another dryer but he was very helpful and was able to bring it back to life! he just happened to be a few miles up the road so it was fate. Thank you so much! I will definitely be calling this gentleman again and will recommend him to any of my friends and family!

I'm sorry you feel that way. Our standard labor charge is $90 whether we spend 5 minutes in your home or 2 hours. We do not want to waste yours or our time so we get in and get out as quick as possible. We could sit there for a couple hours and make it look like we are working on it but thats just not something we do. If you can flip over the invoice your received from us it will explain the process in more detail. You have to keep in mind running a business has a lot of over head and other expenses. We had to make the trip out to your home diagnose the problem which utilized our techs experience thus making it an extremely fast process. In the future you may want to shop around the bigger companies like sears. They will charge you a whole lot more in labor. Thank you.
Feb 14, 2014Previous reviewNever felt more ripped off then when I used Jim!my dryer needed a heat control part costed $30 so it probably only costed $10 they had the balls to charge me $90 dollars labor and it took him 5minutes to unplug the old one and plug in the new one.Im so pissed the only comfort I can take is that I will never call them again!

I wouldn't recommend these guys to anyone. They showed up, and looked at my 2 yr old washer and told me that I would need a $300 part - almost the worth of the machine... later I found out there was a towel lodged in the casing that just needed to be removed. Thank goodness I didn't do the repair. These guys are typical swindlers in the repair business who try to underhand you at every turn. Service Technician Andrei was very very rude. With that being said the associates at the store were very kind however, I would not recommend having Andrei come to your home. He wasn't just rude to me he was rude to someone doing work at my home which is totally unacceptable. I called and let the company know so I am not sure what type of action will be taken.
