I would not recommend them to anybody. They are scammers.
I don't got two thousand dollars they got there five thousand they lied to me

Karns and Karns asked me to do a review in my settlement letter... THEY SHOULD OF REDACTED THAT PART!!!
after being in middle of a 5 car accident on the highway I hired Karns and Karns to represent me. After almost 14 months they got me a settlement for $10,000. After their 33%, $195 case fee, and the $4,428 medical fees they sent me a check for $2046. For that amount of money I could of taken my emergency bill to the insurance company myself. So not only do I still have that bill to pay I also have to pay a $650 fee to the hertz for the rental car that was totaled. and since the Karns and Karns didn't communicate effectively with he hertz that bill was sent to collections. Those doctor visits were scheduled and assigned by the law firm. So they worked together to take 79% of my settlement. Before I agreed to this settlement I SPECIFICALLY asked my case worker how much was my medical bills. I was told that it was about $900 but they would be getting back to me because they were going to negotiate them down as low as possible. Next thing I know I'm being texted and asked to sign my settlement agreement. I didn't even worry about the doctors bill at this point because I had no problem paying $900. Two weeks later I got a ledger saying the doctors bills were $7700 and they negotiated it down to $4400 and after the law firms 33% and case costs I came out with $2046. Did I mention Hertz sent me to collections and I can't rent from them or their affiliates until I pay them? So basically I'm in the negative. If you like making everybody else rich, wasting time and going backwards Karns and Karns is the law office for you!!!

I've had several experiences with lawyers in my lifetime and this one by far was the best. Usually everything is a hassle but Karns knew exactly what to do. Very professional and they were able to accommodate anything or concerns that I had. I most definitely will not have to go to anyone else after dealing with them. After being T-boned at an intersection I was referred to Karns and Karns to handle my claim. I can only say that my experience from the very beginning was exceptional. I called and spoke to Claudia she was so caring and knowledgeable I explained the situation and she explained how they could help me out. I immediately was able to sign the documents electronically and within days I was set up with a doctor and they dealt with the body shop and insurance company.... I even got money afterwards! #winning

Best decision ever!

Personal injury lawyers make a business out of taking money from people who have been injured by accidents. Many of us will have lifetime pain and suffering due to the amount of trauma our bodies have endured. I was hospitalized for 19 days after my accident. I suffered an acetabular fractures and my ankle was nearly severed from my leg. While in the hospital, a friend made a call to see if I qualified for any compensation. I was very medicated and don't remember hardly talking to anyone confirming or agreeing to anything. The next thing I know is someone from Karns and Karns is handling my case. They told me my case was worth 50,000, but they were going to ask for 100,000. What they fail to tell their clients is that right off the top, they claim for themselves is 33.33% of your total settlement. And your settlement is only worth the amount of bodily injury coverage that the person responsible for your accident carries. That is it. If you want to sue for any additional money, you have to hire another lawyer. I was not told that since I am on medical, they too would collect from the settlement. Karns and Karns took 16,666.67 from my check and then reimbursed themselves 860.70 for getting my medical record. I called and asked them to see the accounts of my case, and I got a list of all the medical records they requested.There was even a doctor I had never seen listed. In the end, I they got just a little more than these crooks for my pain and injury. Never sent me the full accounting of how they justify keeping nearly half of the money that I could really use. Please if you are injured try to work with the insurance adjuster first they too will try to lowball you, but if your injuries are serious enough you will get paid and you can cut out the middle man thriving crooks in silk suits. Do your research, and let's put this industry out of business!!!

I was in an accident and reached out to Karns & Karns to understand my options. They were so supportive and responsive in helping me understand the complex process of acquiring the care I needed. The end result was beyond my expectations and I am so grateful I made the right choice to have them represent me.

Unfortunately true to form, like most personal injury firms they are just ambulance chasers. People please be extremely wary and hesitant when approaching firms like Karns and Karns. This firm legit is here for the money and only the money.

My accident took place 10/09/2021, while halfway through a left turn at an intersection a erratic driver trying to catch the light sped up and hit me head on. Did not stop when I beeped. Only accelerated. My car was totaled. Luckily lower back and neck injuries only. There were 2 witnesses and a corner camera across the street.

I was not going to obtain an attorney but due to a driver vs driver situation I did 2 days later. Karns and Karns came recommended. They readily took all my info and I didn't hear from them until another 2 weeks after I reached out. Having worked in a personal injury firm i knew that the delay in treatment could cause issues with insurance companies. I was not readily set up with treatment and was not provided with any info on my case. My insurance unfortunately did not have rental coverage so I didn't have a car. That was the first and only time I spoke to an attorney from the firm. From there I was set up with treatment, an ortho and an MRI. Again didn't hear anything for months. No status, no information. I had uninsured coverage. I wasn't notified if it would be applied to bills or what the game plan was.

I didn't hear from anyone till Jan when I reached out again. A recorded statement was scheduled later that month. Not only was it scheduled but it was also rescheduled twice. Because the paralegal forgot. Once I sent an email my case was reassigned.

I finished PT and didn't hear from anyone for months until May 6 when I was notified by Vanessa that liability was being placed on the other driver 100%. She asked about treatment options and about see another ortho but nothing about medical bills, case status, my deductible. I didn't hear anything again till September 10 around 8:00am I received a call from Vanessa Mercado. She advised me that she was calling to see if I was available for a call with the attorney Michael. He wanted to discuss the next steps for my case and possibly refer me out to small claims court. I gave my availability and asked why that was an option. She said she would reach out once she had a time frame.
I did not get a call or email regarding the time I would be s/w Michael. Instead I got a call from Shaun Baumnn regarding my case and how it had already been referred to him. He asked if it had been explained to me which it had not. He asked if I had any details about the process and I did not. He stated he would s/w Karns and Karns then reach back out to me.

Since then, Karns and Karns has not reached out. I have not received an email or letter explaining their decision or any info. Instead today I received a call from the shady looking PT they sent me to requesting I hire Bauman to represent me or they will be collecting from me directly. This is not how you do business. Avoid this firm at all costs. The 21 reviews should have been further warning to completely avoid them. Don't make the same mistakes as me.
