Tire plug completed within 10 minutes
Met the owner who took over his dad's business when he passed. He charged me $10. I gave him $20 for being so kind.

I contacted KMS auto in Lancaster after posting on waxhaw coffee cruisers website which I had been a member of for years asking for recommendations for shops to do a motor swap on a 07 Jeep Wrangler. KMS was one of the shops recommended. I contacted the owner an asked how much to swap motor out . I would provide the new motor an have delivered an the owner sent me a text with the quote that stated ( your cash price out the door is $1,400 dollars an that includes the oil, coolant an swapping parts from old motor to new motor) . I still have text . After new motor was delivered I dropped my Jeep off an once off the trailer I went inside an the owner gave me a bill for $1,882 dollars an wanted it paid in full before any work had even started . I asked how it went from $1,400 to over $1,800 an he said cause had to swap parts from old motor to new motor. I showed him his texted quote for $1,400 that stated clearly that price included oil, coolant a swapping parts . He got snippy about it an said I could take to another shop so seeing as motor had already been delivered an Jeep was there by the time I loaded it all up an went home an found another shop I might as well eat the extra $400 dollars . After a week I get a text saying Jeep was ready an thst they had drove it 100 miles an it's good to go to come get it an that my remaining balance was $455 dollars . When I got to his shop an asked what the $455 was for he said needed a new serpentine belt an my Freon was low. I asked who had called to get the ok to do this an he said nobody that he couldn't let a car leave with low Freon because of the compressor locked up it could blow the motor . I told him once u got my jaw off the ground that I had never heard low Freon blowing a motor . If the compressor did lock up then if kept driving car then the serpentine belt could break but once that happens you loose all power steering an brakes so nobody would continue to drive like this so wouldn't blow motor from lack of coolant an fan working . An newer cars the compressor has a shut off switch to stop the compressor from turning to keep it from locking up an breaking serpentine belt. After that he tells me that he put dye in compressor an added Freon . I told him the ac worked fine when dropped it off an thst I would never if had him service ac as I would done it myself as I've done all my cars an that I get a fantastic deal on cost of Freon . An he said it needed new serpentine belt which I said it didn't but since it's a new motor I would have put bone in myself. I told him I get 10 percent off parts at any advance auto an the belt cost me $18 dollars an it would take me longer to unhook hood an climb on bumper then it would to swap out the belt so I would never ok them doing it especially for $455 dollars . He told me that if he had let Jeep leave with low Freon an motor blew I would expect him to cover the cost which I stated no I wouldn't an if he really felt like I would he could have printed out that he made me aware of issue an thst I turned down the service an by doing so he not liable an I would have signed it . I get Jeep home an drive it maybe 50 miles when I noticed oil leaking on ground . I took it back an after 2 days got text from owner saying all good come get it . I drive all the way there an soon as I get out car I look under jeep an see oil leaking so go inside an ask owner an mechanic who did the work to come outside so I could show them the oil leak they can't seem to find. The mechanic gets under Jeep an second later shows me his finger tips an says it's ah baby leak . the owner said I had said it was massive leak . I stated that I never said was massive , just said had a leak an wether it's a baby leak or massive leak it's a leak an shouldn't have one on a brand new motor . He said it's residuel oil from old motor that leaked on to top of transmission . I said Steve I'm not ASE verified but you drove it 100 miles an I drive it 50 miles an it's day in my driveway for 2 weeks an I even used 2 cans brake cleaner cleaning everything under there to see we're leak was coming from . How much oil do you really think is on top of trans to leak down. He said to just drive it for about 2 thousand miles an if it got worse or stayed same bring back an he would look more into it . I asked with how concerned he was with possibility of motor blowing from low Freon is he sure it's ok to drive it with oil leak . He says yes an just keep eye on oil . I took Jeep home an few days later my wife calls me screaming thst the ac is blowing hot air . She gets home an sure enuf it is . I ran the Jeep an the compressor was spinning but once turned ac in it stopped , hence the safety switch thst keeps them from locking up . After calling an texting Steve 10 times on both phone numbers he has he wouldn't respond . I texted him an said if I didn't hear from him by the end of business day today I would take it as yes he is avoiding me . Never got a call from him

A few months ago as I was leaving my house my car was making a very odd noise when starting. Being new to the area - I did some research & decided to check out KMS auto Repair. I called them, they got me in same day for an appt. they diagnosed the issue and had me out within a few hours with a fixed car!

I haven't had any issues since. The owner gave me his cell phone # in case any more issues came up. Great customer service!

KMS was recommend by a friend/collegue as working on foreign cars and did a great job. I have had KMS work on my mini cooper a couple of times and they have always done a great job at a reasonable price. They are friendly, helpful, and always fit me in immediately.

They also have 2 wonderful kitties in the office that will greet you. They are fabulous.

You can't ask for a nicer owner.

Prompt diagnosis of an issue with an older Ford Ranger. Repair cost was very reasonable for the scope of work done. This was my first experience with KMS Based on this positive outcome, I would not hesitate to return for future repairs.

I wish I could give 10 stars. This morning, I had a flat tire that needed patching. My donut tire was also low on air. I was expecting to drop off the regular tire and wait 10-20 minutes to get the donut inflated, Instead, a, friendly, Koss tech, IMMEDIATELY, inflated the donut while another tech plugged the TWO holes in my regular tire. These guys are CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPERSTARS!!! The next time I need an oil change and new tires, I am driving straight to Koss!!!!!

We took our Ford Expedition in for an alignment and an oil change. Steve got us in on short notice, diagnosed the issues we had, and had us back on the road in no time at all. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the Lancaster/ Fort Mill area.

I purchased a 2 inch lift kit installed with an alignment from this company. I never received the alignment and I was lied to about the services.
I was looking for a 2 inch Rough Country level kit to install on my 2015 GMC Canyon. I had called around to many shops, including Koss Motorsports, and I decided to take my business there because they were the lowest price and were helpful over the phone. I had been in contact with the owner, Steven, and we had been texting back and forth about the kit and installation. He ordered the kit through Rough Country and had it sent to his shop, he then notified me when it had arrived to get it installed. I took my truck to Koss Motorsports to get the kit installed on 07/21/15. The owner, Steven, was not at the shop at the time of installation; I spoke to his son and Jessie the shop manager. It took 4 hours for them to install the kit, but they only installed a 1 inch lift not 2 inch, and they did not do my alignment. I then contacted Steven, who did not return my calls/text for three business days. After a dispute over the phone, he told me to take my vehicle back up to his shop to install the other inch of lift and to do the alignment. I took my truck up to Koss the second time on 08/10/15. Again Steven was not at the shop this time, even though he promised he would be there when I came back. It took them another 3 hours to put the lift on, and then they said I did not need an alignment, but I insisted that I paid for it and to align it. After putting it on the alignment machine, they realized that the machine was broken. Instead of trying to resolve the issue with me, or have me get the alignment somewhere else and reimburse me, they lied to me. I was told that the truck was aligned and ready to go, when I saw that the machine was broken. I then went to Firestone in Concord, NC to see if the alignment was in fact out. It was, the toe was out by more than .80 degrees. I then notified Steven that I wanted him to reimburse me for the alignment sense he said it did not need one and then told me that he had done the alignment when he had not. He refused to pay me, and when I said I was going to dispute the charge, he told me he was going to put a mechanics lien on my truck. Not a good business to go to, would highly not recommend.
