*Update*
The salon reached out to me after my past two experiences and invited me to come by to get the design I wanted. I was there for an hour with Lynn and am super happy with how these turned out. She was super fast, thorough, and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back to see Lynn.

Original Post: (3 out of 5 stars) I tried to go twice, first wasn't bad but the dip job was about 60% in terms of quality and durability.
On visit #2 I got a pedi and dip polish for my hands. I showed my tech a photo of what I wanted (screenshot) explaining that I wanted the shape to be a little more pointy. While he nailed the shape, he completely missed the assignment in terms of design and gave me a solid pink over my entire nail -- mind you I actually showed the photo to him twice.
I've seen techs use different techniques for this style so when he first started applying the pink on my entire nail it didn't initially alarm me bc I thought he might shave it down and put the lighter on afterwards but by the time I realized he was not actually doing the design I wanted I just needed to leave since I'd been there for almost 2.5 hours.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Natasha H.Cherry Hill, NJ0835Aug 16, 2023Updated review
I am updating my review. La Moda saw my review and reached out to me to fix my nails for me. I was surprised that they offered this kind gesture so I went in. When I came in they had told me they were waiting for me, I got my nails done by Lin, who was very kind and did a great job. She talked to me, asked about my trip, did my nails very nicely and even fixed one she noticed was crooked (I hadn't noticed). The nails were very pretty, long and a very nice shape. I am very pleased and appreciate the time they took to ensure my nails were nice and fixed. although I had a bad experience previously, this made up for it, and were very professional.

I went to La Moda on Tuesday morning, I wanted a long, coffin shaped full set with red gel polish, no designs or anything. I get this done pretty frequently at other salons, like JIM nails in Maple Shade, which I should've gone to, but La Moda was closer to my home and I didn't have too much time as I was prepping for vacation. I was assigned #5, I am not sure what her name was but she was very rude. She kept making me uncomfortable and telling me to relax my hands and that my fingers need to relax, but in a rude way and then she would shake her head or repeat it numerously. Making someone uncomfortable, and judged doesn't really allow them to relax, just saying. Also, I've never had this problem before, I've been to many nail salons before, and no one has ever told me this, they just do my nails and move on. Also I had told her I wanted long nails, I didn't even properly see or decide when she snipped them very short. I had an issue with the shaping. It was bad. Some of my nails are slanted, some are so slanted that it touches my other finger. They're all differently shaped and all are horrible! I told her about this and told her about the shape, and she said it would look different with the polish, which makes no sense whatsoever but I let her do the polish, and they were still horrible. She filed only 2 nails more and they still looked bad, bumpy and ugly. These nails look old and done by someone who doesn't know what they are doing. After they were done, she knew I was unhappy with them, so did the guy at the front. I pointed out the slanted nails and she said they look like that because my nail is shaped differently. That is very rude, and not even true. I have had perfectly done nails before and my natural nails are normal, and were cut down by her as well, so maybe she messed that up as well. I think they should've offered to fix this horrendous mess. She put cuticle oil all over my nails, and usually everywhere else I go they wipe it. She didn't, she took back the towel and I asked if I could wipe my nails because there was too much oil on my fingers. Also, when I went to pay she waited by the register for a tip. I always tip, even if I don't like a service, or even if I believe it's not "tip-worthy", but I do not think it was gracious to wait around for that tip. After I left, I found even more flaws. And the very next day, on Wednesday, the paint started chipping on my thumb, which I found odd since I didn't do much with my hands and I even paid and asked for gel polish. I will never be back & I think this salon should improve and receive customer service training.Jun 13, 2018Previous reviewThey are so incredibly nice, do a great job and they are also the fastest nail salon I've ever been to. Definitely will be returning soon

Unfortunately my second visit was not so great. I went in for a pedicure and gel manicure. The pedicure was fine. However, my gel manicure started to peel after TWO days. I reached out via email per their website and received no response. I was out of town for several days after and by then it was too late. If you are going to visit this establishment do not book with the male technician. He literally filed my nails after applying the top coat and ruined the edges. At the time, I was unsure if this was a thing and didn't question it but now I know better.

I thought I had found a new nail salon. Several visits where I made an appointment and all was well. This past Wednesday, July 6th, I had a 5PM appointment. I arrive and I am assigned to Lisa. I was in the pedicure chair, feet soaking for a few minutes before she came over.
I immediately knew this would not be a great experience. She didn't even speak; could not be bothered to introduce herself. Lisa starts the pedicure and it's clear she's rushing; she skipped several steps. At this point, I just want to be done. Lisa finishEd the actual pedicure and asks for my color choice; I show her the shade. It is a gel yellow. Neon gel colors require a white base on certain skin tones; Lisa apparently did not know this. She did an entire foot and it looked horrible. She knew it was tacky because she finally spoke to me and asked did I like it. I informed her no and asked could she put the white underneath. She hastily removed the polish and then used the white base. The polish process was rushed through.
I get my eyebrows waxed when I come in for a pedicure. Lisa takes me to the pedicure room and once again rushes through this process as well. There was wax still on my forehead. I look in the mirror and my eyebrows are now uneven! At this point I am furious. I go the front desk to pay, as I'm being checked out I inform the manager that Lisa was horrible. I tell him how she rushed through the pedicure and how she messed up my eyebrows. He says he's sorry and offers to have someone fix them. The only fix would be to allow my one eyebrow to be chopped at the end so that the lengths would match. I'm not doing that. I decline the offer.
I would rather wait a week or two and go to another e shop and have them fixed properly. Lisa was a major turn off. It's a shame because I liked everything else about this salon but between Lisa and the manager's nonchalance, I will not be back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Mindy L.NJ, NJ18953115Jul 25, 2021
So I just want to say that I know everyone works differently. Even in the same salon people have different ways that they work. My experience my be different with Amy then yours May be with the next person.
First of all this was my first time here. I called to make an appointment because although it says they do walk-ins, it seems to me like they are very busy from the reviews. I called one time (on a Saturday) and didn't get an answer. I called again and got an answer. I requested Cynthia because from the reviews and the pictures her work was beautiful. But she doesn't work Sundays.
So I can scheduled with amy. Very kind. I always get the same thing mani and pedi. Amy tried so hard for me to get a gel pedi. Explained I don't want gel pedi a couple more times before she stopped pushing the envelope.
My appointment was at 11. I got there at 11. From the minute I sat down in the pedicure chair and the minute I left it was 1148. Thats with the pedicure chair not being set up. So the water had to fill and everything. That's how rushed of a job it was. I should've just paid for a color change. That's how I feel.
Compared to the salon I go to regularly, they don't have many color options. Two books with color displays on either side. And my experience there was soooo rushed. The only way I would ever come back here again is if I'm in a rush. She kept telling me to relax my self but it's so hard to relax when I'm thinking how can you possibly be doing a good job when you're rushing. I don't think I would come back. Also, te polish was supposed to be matching. As you can see, that's not the case.
PERCS: everyone I spoke to was very polite. The hours are AMAZING. Lastly, the actual salon itself it nice. The price itself was $54 for gel mani and regular pedicure. Also you can tip on card, which most salons you can't.
Disclaimer: I'm only looking for a new salon because of my work schedule and my husbands. Sunday seems to be the only day I can get my nails done. I was very pleased with the place I've been going to since 2019.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - OnmyJourney T.NJ, NJ021Jun 4, 2023
Of course it will depend which nail technician you get. I have a few favorites. But so far so good. I'm almost always satisfied. I haven't really had any complaints that needed to be voiced.

You pay money and get your nails done to relax and feel good about yourself. I don't know why I ever go back here. I paid 55 and it looks like a child painted my nails. The woman at table 9 was extremely rude and was pulled my hands and feet like she didn't think I was a person. Want a refund but was too upset to even talk to the owner. Millennium is right around the corner and 100 times better

I was looking for a new nail salon since my technician left the old nail salon. I was ONLY going for a refill! The atmosphere seemed very nice and it seemed organized. I liked the polish choices. However the technician who did my nails didn't seem to listen when I mentioned I was not happy with something. I even showed him my nails and explained my preferences before he removed the perfectly good acrylic I already had on my nails. I asked for a cut down, a refill, and repair on 2 nails. He instead removed my original acrylic and tips to do an overlay on my natural nails. During the process I requested some fixes as he was doing it and he told me not to worry he would reshape them the way I wanted. I gave the benefit of the doubt. Once he was done I could see the drastic difference in what I wanted and what I got. I was not happy with my nails. When I told him I did not like them he just told me I could pay up front. No apology, no offer to correct it, and no attempt at recompense. When I paid at the front they did not even ask how the service was.
I am someone who is very humble so I don't see a need to cause undue issues by being rude or complaining. I make my dislikes known and if they are not listening then I have a choice. I may return to the salon to give them another chance but will definitely not be letting TOMMY do my nails again. He was a nice guy but didn't listen to the client. Definitely not worth $45Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
