Wanted to take time out and provide excellent feedback to the Law Office of Daniel De La Garza. Having to deal with a loved one in a situation can be very stressful and unbelievable at times. After the shock, one has to reach out to an attorney and take a deep breath that the process will flow smoothy and direction will be understandable.
In speaking with Janie, could immediately tell that everything was going to work out. She listened to the issue; explained in great detail that was understandable and reassured me that all would work out for the good.
Everything worked out positively for my sister with all charges being dropped.
Would suggest this Law Office to anyone at anytime for anthing criminally related. Just talk to Janie. She represents the office very well and exemplifies the statement of "Excellent Customer Service."Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alicia A.San Antonio, TX011Dec 16, 2020
reached out to Daniel after being devastated with my sons case.
Our former attorney had placed my son in a horrible position and I was in need of someone was a fighter.
Daniel was more than ready to take my sons case so I thought. I paid him well and let's just say that he failed.
He did not investigate any of the allegations against my son.
In trial he did well, but the judge and DA basically had there way with him and shut him down.
But here is the kicker, when we returned for a hearing on MNT, DeLaGarza was not our advocate. And tried to make us look bad. And to add insult to injury he lied about the sentence given to my son. He said that my son choose a sentence waiving his right to appeal. But when I read his affidavit I learned otherwise.
My son was given 35!years. DeLaGarza did not even look at theDNA evidence which was favorable to my son.
He is a liarHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

This review is false and misleading and is not an accurate representation of my work as an attorney on this case. It should not be taken seriously. I have asked Yelp to remove it but the response was for me to provide my own response.
This negative review by Ms. Arredondo is a perfect example of why a person should listen to their lawyer. Although the review is about me and my office, Ms. Arredondo is ultimately upset with the outcome of the case and the harsh reality her son was faced with as a result of his actions. The YouTube link below provides details of the case Ms. Arredondo is talking about. Unfortunately, the state prosecutor had had her son on video committing an offense and waiving a gun around at the complaining witness. My advice after reviewing all the evidence and conducting an investigation into the facts of the case was to take the plea deal that was on the table because I was confident I could convince a Judge to grant him deferred adjudication.
My client did not follow my advice because Ms. Arredondo told him not to. That was a big mistake. I continued to investigate the case, which included a trip to the DA's office to review child pornography that was found on his computer, and we went to trial. DNA evidence would not have disproven what was on video. The DA's Office most certainly did not have their way with me. It was quite the opposite. I put up a fight for my client every step of the way and we challenged every piece of evidence.
I did testify in a motion for new trial hearing because another law firm was hired by Ms. Arredondo to say I did a bad job. That law firm subpoenaed me to testify in the 226th District Court, which waived the attorney-client privilege in the process. At the hearing I told the truth, which was that Ms. Arredondo's son chose to end the punishment phase of the trial and accept a sentence of 35 years in prison rather than have the jury hear the rest of the punishment evidence--which included the child pornography. The jury's decision could have resulted in a sentence from five years to life in prison.
The motion for new trial was ultimately denied and the appeal was transferred to the 13th Court of Appeals. That court dismissed the case and held that there was no right to appeal the 35 year prison sentence because Ms. Arredondo's son knowingly and voluntarily entered into the agreement and waived the right to challenge it.
I take no pleasure in writing this response but I must defend myself. My former client and I got along well, had a good rapport, and it was apparent from talking to him that he trusted me and the decisions I made for him. That is why I was surprised and taken aback by Ms. Arredondo's review of me and my office, and why it has taken me almost 10 months to write this response.
I encourage anyone reading who is considering contacting my office for high-quality representation in a criminal defense case to not be discouraged by this false and misleading review.

Mr De la Garza is an amazing attorney. From the day I met him, he was always up front and honest about my situation. He did not give me unrealistic expectations and gave me a plan of action for my case.
He was always very informative and a Pit Bull in the courtroom. He is very knowledgeable of the law, courtroom procedures and etiquete. He never wasted my time or his with things that didn't matter regarding my case.
He was very patient with me, even when I was at times being unreasonable and maybe arrogant. He won't back down in the courtroom and he will give it to you straight even if you don't like it. I'm so glad he didn't listen to me.
His firm has very reasonable rates. He was one of about 6 firms I visited and aside from the rates his demeanor and confidence in my case is what convinced me to hire him.
I highly recommend Mr De la Garza's law firm for your defense needs. I guarantee he will work diligently and go the distance for you.
Thanks again sir.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Colin A.Lakewood, CO1092915Apr 13, 2019
An absolute professional! Daniel knows what he is doing, he's a genuinely good human and he's prepared for anything that can happen. Honest and real about the situation I was in but he treated me like a dear friend. When ever I needed to talk to him, he was available and focused solely on my case. He knows how to play his game while giving you the upper hand every chance he can. was thoroughly impressed by his preparedness, our final setting together we were anticipating a dismissal but he was 100% prepared if things went south. Worth every penny, hopefully I will never need representation ever again. But if I do, I will be calling De La Garza!
