She is quite knowledgeable about the complex and ever changing Massachusetts divorce laws Her manner is very cool to the point of condescension however. The divorce process was incredibly stressful and scary, I ended a long term marriage to an abuser who I had built a successful business with with three kids. . Was raw and troubled by the fuzzy math used by my now ex. I left her office more rattled than before entering on most occasions. She should stick to real estate law.

Lee and staff were wonderful to work in a really trying time. She was easy to communicate with and incredibly prepared in court. She did not unnecessarily waste my money. She knows the judges and court system inside and out. I felt very well represented and would recommend her to anyone.

I was very disappointed with the service from Lee Darst, and I ended up firing her and going with somebody else. I only hired her for a review of a 4-page document, nothing complicated. This should have been a quick job, but after 4 weeks and several follow ups she still didn't have it done. Further, she was rude and seemed to have a personal problem with me, not sure why. I would think that a lawyer with integrity wouldn't engage with a client whom they obviously dislike, an impression that I got in our first phone call after she received my retainer check.
I had asked that we work over the phone and email, rather than meet in person, because I don't have a lot if time and her office is about a 40 minute drive for me. For our first scheduled phone call (post retainer check...) she was not available at the agreed time, but called back 20 minutes later without apologizing. The phone call made it clear to me that she was not as familiar with the document as she should have been, had she been prepared, nor did she seem to remember much of what I had told her about the case in our consultation call.
I have since given the job to somebody else who was not only friendly and professional, but who also reviewed my document in less than an hour, returned it to me the same day and had a lot more input than Lee in the nearly 4 weeks that she'd been working on it. All in all, I can only hope that she is usually better than what I've seen- certainly not worth her hourly rate.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
