The food was ok. The paneer pieces were not in big chunks, not sure why they were in different size pieces. The garlic naan had a green spice on it that is not typically on garlic naan. As much as I would like to support a family run business, I was very disappointed when I arrived to pickup my food and the kitchen staff and front staff were not wearing masks. I did not feel comfortable knowing this and will not be returning due to them not taking extra precautions because of COVID.

I'm not sure if this was a one time thing for this place but I once spent close to $30.00 on tandoori roti (in addition to the rest of my order) for a large party I was having and every single piece of roti had what looked like hair on it. And many pieces of hair. I had almost everyone looking at the food to try and inspect it for hair and whatever it was, I didn't eat anything I paid for because of how sick to my stomach I was over the sight of what looked like someone shaving their beard over the food before they wrapped it in tinfoil. Haven't eaten Indian food since. The food is good but a word of caution to check your food before you eat it :/

We love this place! Awesome food, a touch on the pricey side, but we are happy to support a small business. We are never disappointed in the food, it's always hot, consistent and the meat is super tender. Worth stopping in for sure! Not really big enough to eat in, a few chairs, but better to take it home to enjoy

We decided to try this place out because of the new owners! I had a very negative experience with curry in a hurry! We had the dinner for 4 but added the paneer butter masala! The paneer was excellent, the curried veggies were tasty as well! We also really enjoyed the naan bread and the pakora! The desert was missing from our order but I didn't mind as I'm not a huge Indian sweet lover! I wasn't overly excited about the butter chicken! I found it very bland in comparison to the other richly flavoured items and we had to add our own spices!

I was not happy at all with the quantity and value of the food at the Tropical Delight Noodle House which is beside Little India in Hidden Valley. We choose to not go back there again. This evening we decided we would order just one dish from Little India to check it out and if disappointed nothing major would be lost. So here I am now writing a very positive review. We ordered a medium curry chicken which was simply delicious, the taste and curry affect were perfect, the quantity was more than adequate for two and these was more than ample chunks of chicken. I have never been shy to complain so conversely It's appropriate that I compliment when it's deserving. A sincere 5 star review is well deserved from us.

Delicious food. Great take out portions. Have ordered a few times and always satisfied. Good prices too. My new favourite. Lots of vegetarian options!

I was mislead by another review type website that led me to believe this was the best Indian food in North Calgary. I ordered the butter chicken and beef vindaloo and I didn't think I had to take out my fishing rod to fish for the limited amount of meat in both dishes. The containers are large, but mostly full of sauce, and at a price of $12.99, you expect a better balance of meat in the dish. The garlic naan and coconut rice dishes were reasonable priced and good tasting. Of the three Indian restaurants that I have eaten at so far in North Calgary, Little Indian ranks last, and will also be the last time I eat here.

This place is great. The food is delicious and lots of sauce for the rice. Definitely will be back again as I really loved it and looking forward to to trying other things on the menu. There is very limited seating and is a great take out place alternative.

The food here is great that I had to write a review. I got the butter chicken, goat and coconut rice with some garlic naan. Perfect amount of flavour. The mango lassi tastes great too! My new fav spot.

We ordered over $70 worth of food last night and were really disappointed. We move to Calgary a little over a year ago and have been giving each Indian restaurant a try. The flavors themselves were ok but the chicken was strange in the 3 chicken dishes we ordered. First the ratio to sauce is way off even though it didn't matter because it seem over marinated - almost mushy. The Chicken Tikka had sauce on it, which I wasn't expecting as I'm used to pieces out of the tandoor with a dry rub (I order this for me as its a bit lower in calories) We always enjoy the left overs for the next couple of days, but I'm just going to throw away - except the coconut rice, which was decent.
