Local Cantina Brewery District

This place came highly recommended to us by people at both the Book Loft and the botanicals place. We got there and were a little bit nervous about the serve your own salsa and chip bar, since the pandemic I think everyone is a bit more nervous about these things, but we stopped worrying and enjoyed the salsa. It was delicious.
We ordered the queso which was also great! Their mango mocktail was delicious, but just not enough drink for the price and I should have just ordered a coke.
As a warning to others, their menu needs commas, so we thought certain menu items had these combo like for example if it said "Cilantro lime ranch" I'd assume it was one sauce, but it was actually 3 ingredients. My friend got tripped up ordering because of this so I figured I'd mention it. That was a made up example, I do not recall her actual order. She ended up getting a gigantic burrito. My other friend just beans and rice and said there amazing.
I ordered the Asian style taco, it was good, but a bit too saucy for me, just overall a texture, messy thing for me, but flavors were amazing.
Next time I come I'd like a bigger appetite to try more.
This is a nice little place, dark and cozy, probably great for the college crowd due to their affordable prices. I think it hits it's mark!

Being a foodie, I try to look for places that are interesting and have great food. That being said, Local Cantina hits all the marks in what I am looking for. From the free chips and salsa to the inviting hip atmosphere I was excited to give this joint a shot. My husband ordered the Mushroom Quesadilla and I ordered the Fish Tacos which were very delicious with great flavor and the portions were great.
As for the service, our waiter was super friendly and attentive. We would definitely recommend this place. Can't wait to come back and try the Fajita Quesadilla.

Quick service. We had our drinks in just a few minutes. We sat outside for a late dinner. Self-service for the chips and salsa. I had a really good and meaty chicken quesadilla. I had to take half of it home because it was huge. Tasted great! We will definitely be back.

If you've never had a mustache ride, this is the place to get your first! The bartender poured them with quite a heavy hand, thank you : )
Chips, salsa, and queso were good snacks while we enjoyed the margaritas. Americano tacos were just okay. But everyone who worked there were very friendly. Great place to get started for happy hour. Enjoy!

It's on the boulevard or strip with all the other bars. The atmosphere I felt was nice as that a couple the other places were jampacked for the happy hour crowd. Enjoyable and for a place to place some darts or pool or listen to music and just vibe withfriends is not a bad spot

Local cantina has a new menu! I've always been a big local cantina fan, and it appears the changes to the menu are minimal. Wish I got a photo of the menus.

They did get rid of my tried and true sangria, however there are plenty of other great drinks. The hot girl summer drink I had a taste of from my friend and it was SWEET! The margs all seem about the same as before and were good although almost too much ice, so felt like there wasn't much in there.

The Queso dip is consistent and a large size good for sharing. Highly recommend.

I tried the nachos which are a new item (sort of) and were pretty big!! Deff something you could share. I added ground beef but you can add any meat option. It also includes Queso, refried beans, pico, jalapeños, and sour cream. Tasty!

Love the vibes and music at local cantina as well. Always a good time and good food.

Great locations for food, drinks and sports. Lots of TVs if you need a place to watch the game. Food is always on point. Services is fare, last time we were there the serves was really slow. Offers high and low top tables. Great for large or small groups. Love their taco Tuesday specials and Margs!

Found this to be very average. Everything was pretty bland and flavorless. The chicken in the salad was really gross. Wouldn't come back. Wouldn't recommend.

Stopped in for a late dinner on a Thursday. Parking in the area can be challenging but we got lucky and found street spots. They had several TVs with the NFL Thursday night game on and it was seat yourself. It's a casual taco spot and they had quick service! Our queso was delicious and the chips are serve yourself so you don't run out. I had the chicken Cali taco which was very large and flavorful! If you are very hungry you'll probably want two tacos (especially if you don't over eat chips before).

I so loved our experience here! Came for the first time on a Tuesday and the place was busy, but we were able to snag a seat right away without waiting. The service was top notch from everyone but our server Olivia was really beyond great. She gave so many good suggestions throughout the night and even told us what she orders on non-Taco Tuesday night.

Okay so onto the deal$ - Taco Tuesday is $2 tacos!!! Wow deal of the century. The margs are also well priced around $8. There were so many tacos to choose from and we probably ended up trying about 5 different ones but I really liked the carnitas and the nashville hot. I didn't think it was too hot but I got their hot dressing on the side to top the taco (per Olivia's recommendation) and it was the perfect heat.

They also carry mezcal which is always a bonus in my book. So I ordered a spicy mezcal margarita. It wasn't too spicy so Olivia asked the bar to re-make it which was a nice gesture. The second one was spicier but still not the heat I was expecting. The third one had a full jalapeno in it and was FIRE haha. Like actually made my mouth on fire. Maybe that was a bit toooo much with the seeds but hey I asked for it more spicy.

They were bumping great music throughout the night, including some great throwbacks (simple plan, the starting line). Vibes were great. The free chips and salsa is also great. OH! And we ordered queso which was delicious. We opted to add corn in there which was a good choice.

Will return! Probably for the next Taco Tuesday haha.
