My wife and were having difficulty finding a contractor for our Master bathroom remodel. Contractors were either inexperienced or our job was "too small" to receive a call back. After reading reviews about MHM Construction and Mike Stathos we promptly gave him a call.

Mike was quick to set up an appointment to talk about design and a cost estimate. Mike was upfront and honest about all aspects of the job from the start. I also appreciated that he anticipated unforeseen construction issues. He clearly laid out our options so we were prepared for all scenarios.

The project finished on time, on budget and better than we designed. We have the bathroom that surpassed our expectations and dreams. Mike is professional, skilled and the perfect contractor to turn your plans into reality.

Mike is amazing. He's everything you would ever want in a contractor. He shows up on time, he keeps you updated, he advocates for you with other vendors, he's honest and upfront and a perfectionist. He did a complete renovation on our kitchen. We lived in a construction zone for 8 weeks but Mike made sure it was as painless as possible. (It was completed on time!) He and his team are courteous and clean and reliable. Our kitchen is amazing and Mike made sure we got exactly what we wanted while keeping us on budget and giving us realistic expectations. We are saving our pennies so that we can have them come back and renovate our master bathroom. Can't wait.

We recently bought a 2006 house that had some, ahem, needed love and upgrades. Our first big project actually turned out to be our master bathroom rather than our kitchen. After hearing so many horror stories about contractors, we interviewed 7 contractors before settling on Mike. He was on the higher end of the bids we received, BUTTTTTTTT he is upfront on all costs, NOTHING hidden, which, after looking closer at other bids, they had many hidden costs. Besides, OMG does his work speak for itself. He was on time every day, kept in communication with both me and my husband about any delays(there were NONE, and he actually finished a few days early!), and was beyond conscientious of making sure our home was protected during construction. He treats every job as if that room were in his own home, so he gives great feedback if I chose something that wouldn't stand the test of time, or would be a fad and would end up dating our place. I have NO design bones in my body, and he was pretty patient with me when I wouldn't have an idea of what I was looking for with regard to color schemes. We absolutely LOVE our new bathroom and recommend Mike to everyone we know! Our biggest issue now is, how soon can we renovate the other rooms in our house!

Mike recently finished a master bathroom remodel for us. It was almost a complete remodel except that we kept the bathtub and cabinets.

Pricewise Mike's estimate was the highest we received, but not significantly. I felt his estimate was more detailed than others' though, and I suspect that if I had gone with another contractor, the "forgotten" costs would have ended up bumping their price to or above what Mike was quoting. In fact, even though some extra work was required to deal with original construction issues, we weren't charged extra.

The quality of the work is excellent. It's most evident in the straight, tight lines of the tile. Like myself, Mike is picky about his work and makes sure all the details are taken care of. He's not going to rush through your job, and it will be done right.

My complaint would be that there were cases where communication was poor, particularly with the third party suppliers. One morning I got a call saying the tile needed to be paid for immediately or the tiling would be delayed. (There had been no prior mention that the tile order had even come in.) There were also problems with the frameless glass shower because the order was placed without our input. We had to have the order pulled and changed, which caused a small delay and less than stellar customer treatment from the glass supplier.

All in all the experience was good. This is the first project of this size we've done so I have nothing to personally compare it to, but I've heard remodeling horror from others, and the problems we faced don't compare.

Mike is your go to contractor and we are sure glad we hired him. We had three projects for Mike, Master Bath, Hall Bath and Kitchen. Mike helped us think about possibilities and communicated why things needed to change or be done differently. When he ran into something he made sure we were informed with options and pricing so we could make a solid decision. Mike did our quotes and came through on the projected cost and on time, nothing like coming in on budget when remodeling. Our home looks as if we moved into a new house, we absolutely love our Master Bath with the walk in shower and the openness of the area. The Hall Bath is beautiful and open now. Everyone who has ever been in our home is just amazed by the upgrades. Our kitchen is nothing but amazing, so much more room, counter space and cabinet space.
