MIX 6 NAIL LOUNGE

Had a gel manicure that lasted for less than a week (started chipping after 5 days but wasn't able to come back until today, day 7). I went back and was told they don't warranty a gel manicure especially after 2 weeks (it's been 7 days but was chipping and cracking before then). I'm used to having my nails last 2 weeks plus some days if I'm unable to keep my schedule (I aim to go every other week. Sometimes sooner if needed, but 5 days?!?!) , I was absolutely shocked by the quality. After my experience I went back and read other reviews and seen that there were others that experienced something similar.

PLEASE READ PAST REVIEWS, there's so many that say the same thing that I have experienced! there are reviews where others lasted 48 hours OR LESS!!! And now look at the OWNER's response. in my opinion she's trying to gaslight me as if there weren't other complaints! I took away another star... now that I know that Michelle is the owner, it makes sense why she kept changing what she was saying about the "policy". She was changing the policy as we were speaking to fit her agenda because she's the owner. Also, note the previous 1 star review. She defends HERSELF in 3rd person under FALSE pretense... Shady AF

Pro: very attentive when you're spending money

Con: lackluster job that you spend $100+ on that only last for 5 days...

2 stars because it was my second visit. The first went well. The second went well also, I did enjoy my time there, minus the chipping which didn't happen on my first visit. It was a complete turn off going back and forth with the woman at the front desk. Whom kept insisting that I had them done 2 weeks ago when the date I came in was on her screen. She even told me the date I came in which was last week smh.

UPDATE: notice the owners comment! I tipped cash after receiving their "Christmas discount" smh. Noticed she mentioned discount, I DON'T care about your "special Christmas discount", is that the reason the quality is the way it is? Because of your holiday special? See how She threatened legal action after clearly seeing chips/ cracking? There are nails that literally "look fine" but are not! I've attached another photo. No misunderstanding or misinformation. The facts are facts. As I've said, I kept a schedule, and this was the ONLY place where my gel mani lasted 5 days... I'm not harsh on my nails (noticed she blamed me). I noticed while washing my hair that my strands were getting caught BETWEEN the nails and gel and that was on day 4! I was even going to suck it up and deal with it until it until a DIFFERENT NAIL chipped! However, after YEARS of getting these done I would have changed up my schedule if needed IF that were true. But since I'm a stay at home mom I've learned to keep things scheduled, I don't like coming back everytime a nail cracks or chips. It's a waste of my time. I would have GLADLY paid full price if that meant the nails would have lasted longer.

Very pleasant Saturday morning- and relaxing
My tech Tony was easy to communicate with and did a beautiful job and did what I wanted.
It was fairly easy to make a a reservation online and my friend and I were able to sit together.
The choices and selections were wonderful and the prices very reasonable. I will gladly return.

This was my first time to this nail salon. I'm not a salon hopper and my nail tech left after being his client for almost 20 years, so finding a new tech is a scary. I am also in the hair industry for almost 30 years and so when I leave a review it has an understanding of the profession.

Noy was my technician and now my new nail guru. She was super professional with warmth and understanding of great customer service. She nailed my shape (no pun intended) and did them soooo fast!!! I had 3 nails that need a bit more attention and she still got it all done in a little less than an hour. Noy is new to the Austin area so I am grateful to have gotten in last minute, but I believe she will be booked out quickly due to her talent and sweet disposition.

The young woman at the front desk was super sweet. The salon itself is beautiful and very clean. The decor is on trend.

I'm so grateful to have found Noy and look forward to the relationship of trust and loyalty in the future.

This is my first visit with them and I was super impressed. They took me in at the time I made my reservation. Ben did the job precisely and quick. I recommend his work for gel nail service.
Also the atmosphere was very clean and modern.

I got a set thinking it would be about $55-$60
and was charged for 'extra length' and 'design' despite having nothing extra done for $10 each totaling $90 including tip, the tech did a great job but I left feeling scammed, I will never return to pay $90 for an average set again, I spoke to many other people in the area and they've said that they've never been charged this much for nails

I having been getting my nails (acrylic gel) done here for about a year and am consistently happy. The color options, designs, etc. are modern and up to date with all the trends. I get a pedicure every so often as well and they are relaxing and reasonably priced. I also love being able to make appointments online - makes it so easy. Additionally, Michelle does my lashes and her talent is incredible! My lashes look natural and I always receive compliments.

Hello, I wanted to share my recent experience at the salon. I've been a loyal customer since the salon opened and have always had a positive experience with ALL the staff.

However, my appointment with Michelle on Saturday at 5 PM was quite disappointing. She was rough on my nails, drilling down to my nail bed, which caused damage. When I asked her to fix it, she seemed unprofessional, rolling her eyes and talking about me to others. There was also a noticeable gap in the nails she applied. My nails started chipping shortly after, and my nail beds are sore. I would appreciate it if the manager could contact me for a refund. I'd be happy to return for future appointments with the other technicians, but I won't be coming back to Michelle.

Looking for a nail salon to call home I have Mix 6 a try today. It was super easy to call and make a reservation. I even received a text confirmation which was nice. The major plus was the music and noise level. It was a nice hum and the music great. The chairs were lovely. Maggie was super sweet.

I had a volcano pedicure. Name kind of weird as it was lavender. Maybe the brand? Maggie did a great job. The lavender smelled amazing. My feet really needed the attention. My only down side was the paraffin dip. There wasn't enough in the bag to cover my feet so that was a little disappointing.

I booked a manicure with dip polish but suppose I wasn't clear when we sat down to do my nails. I ended up with a nail polish switch. Not bad but not really all I wanted. And I wasn't sure about the service so didn't speak up. My bad. I'm not 100% happy with the outcome as it's a little wavy and sides not well cleaned up. And I asked about a design which didn't come out great. So fingernails weren't a hit.

Suggestions for the business - Turn on the closed caption to both TVs. Super annoying to watch the action but no idea what's going on. Only to find the TV behind me had them on. Take a little time and make some matches for those who want dip on nails and shellac on toes. I was super disappointed to try and root around in the big box of dips to try and match my toes. :-( Really limited selection for shellac or maybe that's all I saw. Provide an idea of drinks. I was asked immediately what I'd like which is super nice and went with water to only see others with mimosas and wine. Be sure clients know how to use massage feature on your chairs before you get started.

Overall I'll give them a second try as it was a great experience. Just a hiccup or two. I suggest giving them a try too.

Went here for a pedicure a few months ago- it was great. Decided to take my mother in law here while she's visiting and while her nails look great, mine are awful. We spent $300 here for 2 basic pedis, 2 dip nails, and my 7 year old to get her nails painted for the FIRST time, which have also came off just from showering. I got a regular pedicure and it lasted MAYBE 5-10 minutes while my mother in law got the same type of pedicure and hers lasted at least 30-40 minutes. My daughter got her nails painted, while we were waiting for my mother in law (since we were done quite a while like 2 hrs before her although I got the SAME mani and pedi), a man who works there walked by and touched my daughters toe for no reason, and clearly messed up her toenail polish and said "oh still wet!" brought her a fan and left. Didn't even bother fixing it or letting anyone know that HE messed up her toe polish. What a great first experience for her. The next night I look at my hands, and all of my dip powder is coming off/chipping away (8 nails) but only a few of them were extremely noticeable. I go in and they fix them and apologize and just said they needed to be thicker. Now, 2.5 days later my nails are chipping SO bad that all the dip powder completely came off the tops and sides of two of my nails. I'm a pregnant stay at home mother, not sure why their product can't stay on, but this is ridiculous. I rarely am able to get my nails done anymore since being pregnant, so this was supposed to be a nice treat so I could feel beautiful. Thank you so much for a terrible experience. Whoever took care of my mother in law did a great job. The person who did my horrible pedicure and dip nails both times was Tony, I recommend not getting your nails done by him. Not sure who did my daughters nails, it was a woman, she did an ok job... no idea who the man was who decided to mess them up (younger man) but their polish didn't last more than a day or two anyways. I've never been one to complain at a salon or have ever had to go back. I won't be going back a THIRD time to get my nails fixed AGAIN, just so they can be ruined 2 days later, so I'll just walk around with messed up nails for now. I've gotten dip powder many times at other salons and always lasted me 2 weeks.
I also had my eyebrows waxed and they've been itching ever since. We will never be back, which is unfortunate because it looks like such a pretty and nice salon.

Great nail salon, the staff is very professional and the quality is superb. You can't go wrong with any nail tech here, they are all talented. Michelle does my nails and never disappoints!
