North Denver Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

The staff and doctor took great care of my son. The staff was very professional, a pleasure to work with. They made it a simple imformative process upfront and then Dr. Hong took great care of my son taking out all wisdom teeth. He also called later that evening to personally check in and see how he was doing. Highly recommended.

I was so nervous to get my wisdom teeth out but the staff here were so kind to me that it ended up being an easy & pretty painless experience!

Dr Hong and his staff were amazing. They put all my fears to ease and were caring. My dental implant surgery went smoothly and my recovery was painless. I would strongly recommend Dr Hong for your implant surgery.

Our experience with North Denver OMS was great. We came to see Dr. Hong so our son could get a tooth extracted. In order to extract the tooth, Dr. Hong needed to put our son under general anesthesia via an IV. Dr. Hong was very patient with our son and walked him through it the whole way. Procedure went very smoothly and Dr. Hong has a great bedside manner. He was great with our son and us, answering all the questions we had for him. His staff is very friendly also.

Dr Hong's office cares very little for clients. They will not work with insurance companies and treated me with very little respect. The office ladies never informed me of my insurance benefits and were like car salesman trying to close a deal. I will never encourage someone to go there again.

Dr Hong is the best. Very professional and extremely knowledgeable. He takes his time when I go see him and I never feel rushed. He definitely does not rush into anything. I needed surgery and Dr Hong made sure everything was put into place. He kept me calm and I trust him 100% with my care. Highly recommended. The girls up at the desk are super nice and always remember my name when I walk in the door. Thank you Dr Hong!

Do NOT got to this dentist, they will over charge you!!! Worst experience ever! Staff is completely incompetent.

So while the staff was nice enough and the doc seemed cool, they aren't looking to help anyone. The website says payment plans available, NOPE. I had a broken tooth and an infection that Dr. Hong (after 2 other doctors confirmed) was on it's way to being life threatening. He said another 24 hours could land me in ICU with emergency surgery. The total cost was about 2500$ for him to extract the tooth a d clean out infection. I said I can do half now and the other half in 2 weeks. He himself never came back in. He sent his staff in and they said Dr Hong said he wanted payment in full before the procedure. All of this happened after I had fasted for 23 hours, 4 of which I sat in his office in excruciating pain. I ended up in the ER at Denver Health (they have emergency dental) with IV antibiotics, Morphine, and emergency dental surgery. I have a severe infection that hopefully, with major antibiotics and pain killers, MAY clear otherwise I have to go back under the knife for even more major surgery. My main issue is, when a doctor says your life could be at risk AND turns you away.....He or she has a lack of integrity and broke their oath to take care of people. DON'T GO TO THIS DOC U LESS YOU HAVE LARGE AMOUNTS OF CASH. He doesn't care about you he cares about his paycheck.

So, nobody *likes* going to an oral surgeon--there's never that part of your day where you're like, "Man, am I bored...I've got some spare time to waste...You know what might be fun?! Going to an ORAL SURGEON!!!" So, when I was informed that I needed to do just that, I was less-than-excited.
My dentist recommended that I visit Dr. Hong--my dentist's office called North Denver Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and (due to a rather unfortunate issue I'm having with insurance at the moment), they were able to squeeze me in THAT DAY (which was very fortunate for me and inconvenient for everyone else).
When I got there, I was impressed by the look of the office--very understated and classy (comfy chairs!), the large flatscreen TV seems to be tuned to HGTV all the time (which I enjoy).
The women at the front desk were friendly (paperwork was minimal but efficient, X-rays were a snap) and I was seen promptly.
Dr. Hong and his assistants were knowledgeable and friendly the entire time. I was advised on my next step and I showed up a couple days later for the procedure.
The morning of my "surgery" I was taken back on-time and was "out" pretty quickly--which I was happy about.
My people said that I was in good spirits afterward (but to be honest, I don't remember ;) ...I do recall listening to KBCO, which was nice.
The next day, I was hurting, as expected--but my pain was managed well and the next couple days went smoothly.
I was impressed that the office called me a couple times to inquire on how I was feeling--made me feel well-looked after.
And finally, just today, I went to my post-op and again was given wonderful service.
I would recommend Dr. Hong and the entire North Denver OMS team to anyone who is unfortunate enough to need an oral surgeon; it wasn't the BEST experience of my life, but it was the best experience you can hope for, while expecting to leave with a stitched-up, bloody hole in your head.

I was referred to North Denver OMS for implant surgery from my regular dentist, and had a great experience from start to finish. I found Dr. Hong to be extremely personable and knowledgeable ... after reviewing my x-rays he went through every detail of the procedure with me, giving me accurate information on potential risks. The surgery itself went extremely smoothly, and based on my dentist's opinion the implant was placed perfectly.

His office and clinical staff have always been extremely friendly to me both on the phone and in person, my visits have been efficient and on time.

I have recommended him to friends who need any kind of oral surgery, and would go back to him for any future needs that I have.
