This was an amazing experience! I loved that the location, it was roomy, cozy and inviting. I love the different seating arrangements to choose from and the inside and outside seating options. The wine, beer and cider choices were all good. The service was awesome as well, it's a must visit if in the area!

Great food, service, scenery and ambiance. Their Friday night bluegrass is inviting and FUN and the drinks are delicious.

I enjoyed the visit. The facility is very charming and traditional without being pretentious. I was amused at the horde of live chickens and ducks panhandling bread from visitors. The outside tables were right up from a nice little duck pond. Nice views. The beer selection is pretty good. I had a flight of four beers and a cherry cider, and I liked all of them. See the pictures for reference. The food isn't knocking me over but it was still good. Overall I was glad we discovered Notaviva and I'll happily give them a return visit.

A cute little winery with a beautiful view just a little off of the beaten path. There wines are really good and the fact that they have beer as well made it a great place to just hang out for a while with friends. For quality wines and a place to get away from the business, give Notaviva Vineyards a try.

We loved the music themed wines! It was such a fun experience tasting the various flights that you can combine yourself. We chose to do a flight of white, and a flight of red. Everything was outdoors and the tables are spaced out nicely, but we noticed that when some customers came up to order their wines they were not made to wear a mask. The tables were also not cleaned or sanitized in between customers getting up to leave for the day.
Overall, we really enjoyed the property, a few of the wines, and the hospitality of the hostess Sunshine!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 2, 2018
Notaviva Vineyards is a cool little winery. The tasting room is part of the owners house. So on weekends - you are in part of their house.
Very impressive architecture!
I enjoyed most of the wines I tasted, particularly the Reds. I especially enjoyed their Petit Verdot.
The winey is also doing something cool with technology. Using an iOS app on one's iPhone - you can scan the label on select wines - and the app then brings up information about the wine, as well as a piece of music associated with that wine that you can play. I believe the app is leveraging Apple's AR Kit (augmented reality) technology.
Cool winery and nice wines!

Not a lot of places where you have the choice of beer, wine, or hard ciders all made on-premises. Notaviva delivers that on a lovely piece of property. There is parking on either side of the property. We parked on the lower lot and walked up the hill. The mallard drake paid no mind to my wife who was explaining to him that the lady of his desire had NO interest and he should leave her alone. As we left them to their barnyard pursuits, we made it up the hill to be greeted by the hosts. The first lady working with us was only in the middle of her second day and was unable to answer some of my wife's questions, so she quickly substituted herself as server and passed the baton to another lady who answered all my wife's questions with great skill and knowledge. They had me at "milk chocolate stout" and so I had no further questions! With flight and cup in hand, we headed down the stairs on the hill we came up to sit pond side. We listened to a talented musician from a distance (our volume preference) and watched ducks, geese, and a red-winged blackbird enjoy the cat-tails and pond. My only complaint would be that my delicious stout was in such a flimsy plastic cup that the sides pinched in while attempting to lift and drink the full cup. I would caution anyone who has mobility issues that the property is hilly and has stairs. I'm sure a drop-off up top could be arranged, but there may be other locations that would be more accessible if you have mobility challenges.

Beautiful vineyard with plenty of space to picnic and breathtaking views for pictures. Beware a it's a little hidden but worth the drive. This was an amazing tasting experience with exceptional staff. There was a food truck on the premises which was so-so but outside food is allowed. Their wines are unique but their Sabado and Rose caught my attention the most. Sunshine was a great host and knowledgeable about all the wines and their fermentation process. Will definitely be coming back!

A bit off the path of the wine trail, but more than worth the drive. Notaviva quickly became our favorite winery. We enjoyed every wine on our first visit; even the desert wine, which we normally don't like. In fact, we liked the wines so much, we became members on our first visit.
The owners are a wonderful couple and great to chat with. We also loved their back story of how they met and built the winery.
Oh yeah, almost forgot. I read a 1 star review of Notaviva. What kind of moron rates a winery based on their WiFi availability? Do you also rate your ISP on their vending machines?Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Leah Y.Arlington, VA378133275Apr 1, 2019
This is a pretty cool family owned vineyard in Loudoun County with a pretty cool couple of music lovers who worked in the industry prior to starting Notaviva.
It's a bit hard to get to, a rocky road off the beaten path/main drag but it's worth a little drive. The tasting boasted 9 wines I believe, each associated a song. My fav? "Back that Glass Up". They do a good job of not only incorporating their love of music with the wines but also their Pennsylvania heritage. It's a pretty cool, quaint stop in Loudoun's wine country. Pro tip: they allow outside food, inside so on cooler days you don't have to go outside to enjoy your picnic baskets.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
