I had a very difficult cataract surgery due to a scar on my cornea. Dr Huynh is very professional, knowledgeable and caring doctor. I am pleased and satisfied with the results and my vision also has improved. From the diagnosis to the post op care, I felt well informed and cared for. I have delayed this surgery for years because I was seeking an Ophthalmologist I can trust. I highly recommend Dr Huynh for any cataract surgery.

I am so pleased to write this review of my experience with Dr. Kyle Huynh. From the very beginning his demeanor and knowledge instilled a lot of confidence. He is very caring and personable. Upon exam, Dr. Huynh Informed me that I had cataracts in both eyes and recommended that I have cataract surgery. He explained the different lenses that can be used, the procedure and told me the surgery center that he uses. After testing he confirmed that I could have the lenses I chose implanted Following each procedure, he followed up closely to insure I had the best outcome. The surgical center was excellent in all respects. After my second surgery, Dr. Huynh informed me that I would not need to wear corrective lenses anymore, which I had worn for several years. His attention to detail is exemplary. I also commend all the office staff who are wonderful. I highly recommend Dr. Huynh as an ophthalmologist.

I went to the valley ophthalmology for my left eye cataract. The clerk explained me the procedure and said if you want regular lens you can only see far . But we have premium lens which it can perform best you can see far and near but will coast you extra $3,100 she convince me . Big mistake after the surgery done from very next day I complained to them that can't see well . A year before that I had done my right eye with regular lens which I can see perfect far and near . After complaining several moths and going for check ups 9 times the doctor stated that IF YOU WANT WE CAN RE do the surgery and place a regular lens BUT IT MAY HAVE SIDE EFFECTS LIKE BURNING ITCHING SWELLING IRRITATIONS REDNESS . I asked the doctor what percentage can be defected like that he stated 50% chance . After spending several hundred dollars on eye drops the problem is the same on the left eye I see blurry and at night time is worse . I

Had an appointment with doctor Sam Abassi today 02/28/24 and I am very disappointed. His bedside manners are terrible, I couldn't explain my concern properly as he was constantly interrupting me in a very rude manner. Forget about asking questions, you are not given a chance to even try. He is very abrupt and rough. Not to mention that I waited for over an hour to see him and my appointment lasted 5 minutes at the most.

Thank you for review. I am saddened that I left you with this feeling after our encounter, as I consider it a privilege to take care of patients. Please forgive me for feeling perplexed however, as the encounter I remember was considerably different than what you describe.
You presented with specific symptoms and provided me with examples you found online about your condition. I reviewed the websites with you, examined you carefully, answered all your questions and provided you with a diagnosis. I reassured you and provided you with guidance about which symptoms would warrant you to come back. You then thanked me and asked me to provide you with what is effectively a legal document making claims about your condition which would be inaccurate.
I respectfully explained that I would not be able to provide with such a document as it does not reflect your condition accurately but described your concerns in your note and stated that you are welcome to a copy of your note. You thanked me and left. I am sorry if you felt I was rude and abrupt but I am happy to have been able to provide you with reassuring news about your condition.

The front office is awesome!
The technicians, optometrists, and ophthalmologists are all at the top of their field!!
So why am I giving only three stars?
It is the glasses/contact lens part of the office;
the glasses and contacts they dispense are top of the line, but the prices are exorbitantly high.

My wife has had the pleasure of Doctor David Aizuss taking care of ALL her vision needs , for countless years we have been driving 350 miles round trip from Bermuda Dunes to Encino or West Hills to get the ABSOLUTE BEST care available
Our vision is so very important as we age the 350 mile round trip is worth. every mile.we drive

I have never been so well taken care of. I had a medical situation arise with my eye (not shocking considering this is an ophthalmology practice) and as a result I need to take disability leave from work. Susan Green, who I believe is the main administrator, was SO DILIGENT and HELPFUL and PROMPT in a situation that was wildly stressful and scary on my end. (I am also 7.5 months pregnant.) I am just so flabbergasted by her kind and efficient response and action, my paperwork was done and sent immediately, and I could not be more grateful. Thanks also to Dr. Lazar who wrote a detailed letter and sent the diagnostics pictures to my place of work in order to facilitate my leave. Rarely are doctors offices so efficient and helpful. It's a rarity and deserves to be pointed out!

Their front office is the worst. They never answer the phone and ask you to leave a message. And it doesn't how many times you call and leave a message because they would never call you back!

This place was recommended to my mom by her friend. It started off great. The people that first saw us was a young man with braids: he was very kind. Then we ended up waiting forever to see the dr. The appointment was at 10:30 and we left around 1:00pm. We were told the staff was new and they deleted our file from the system. Told the dr what happened and he said there was a power outage the day before. There's just a lack of communication. We didn't have an issue with the dr besides him taking a call outside the room after we made it clear we were upset. It's just badly run and needs help. If you make an appointment, plan to be there for hours. Hopefully your file won't get deleted for no reason.

The doctors--Lazar and Kramar are excellent. They deserve ten stars. Very knowledgable and warm manner. However, the staff at this place gets zero stars. They are as frosty as I have ever seen. They need to be warm and friendly--or at least friendly. The staff here is cold and don't even speak to the patients. They robotically go about the business. The person who took care of me never even said hello, told me what she was going to do (drops and take eye blood pressure) or acknowledged me. Made me feel like a number not a person. It would behoove management well to change the culture and allow patience to have a better experience if the staff could be welcoming and kind. Such a shame. The staff at OVA all need to take lessons on bedside manner from Dr. David Lazar. He is great!

I would like to personally apologize for your poor experience at our practice. I do often receive compliments regarding the friendliness of our staff, however, we failed in this instance.
I am fortunate to support fabulous physicians in this practice and the last thing we as a staff want is to reflect negatively on them or make any patient not feel valued.
