I went here to do my nails. They do an excellent job. But not only do they do nails, they do hair and massage. The girls here really know how to take care of you. Yesterday Julie did a Brazilian blowout on my hair and it looks amazing!

Haircut = The lady basically chopped my hair off, clipped it here and there, and was done. I got home and saw strands that she missed. No styling whatsoever.
Highlights = Turned out much lighter than I expected. When I expressed my concern, she begrudgingly applied toner. But she insisted that this was the color that I chose, making me feel like a color-blind dog. She charged me extra for the toner.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Fatima N.Richmond, TX519415Apr 10, 2013
Don't go! I went for a spa pedicure and shellac manicure. First off, rude service! They kept asking why I did take my nail polish off before coming to them. The shellac only lasted 2 days on my nails and it started chipping. I've gotten shellac before from other places and it usually last up to 3 weeks. I'd say, save your money and go elsewhere.

I went for a mani/pedi on Saturday and it is now Wednesday. I have swelling, redness and my nail bed looks like it got chewed up by tiny dogs. Despite them giving me the tools they used on my hands I have a feeling they were not sterile to begin with. Also, my nails chipped within one day. Boo hiss.

I usually never review places, but this was such a terrible experience that left me in tears when I left.
I tried this place out since me and my husband moved, and this was closer than my old faithful place (V nails off 59 South and BIsonette) which charged me $10 for eyebrows and lip wax.
Anyway, they said it was $17 for both so I said ok whatever.... they had an elderly lady do my wax... not only did she take so long, but when I got in the car they were misshaped, left with hair still, and not trimmed somehow even though she trimmed them...
I had asked if I could get my underarms waxed, and she had another woman come in to check my underarm hair.. she looked and said yes it's fine and I made sure to ask "are you sure it's long enough to do today?" she said "yes" I had never had this done before so I went ahead and did it.
BIG MISTAKE.
they waxed me and it was so painful (im assuming it always is) and none of the hair came off! They then complained how my hair was too short. Then they preceded to PLUCK the hairs out.. after 5 minutes of this I started to cry and they laughed thinking it was so funny. Then, they stopped and shaved my hair off with A men's mechanical shaver, which left little cuts on the sides of my underarms.
I payed $32 dollars for crappy eyebrows and red underarms.
TERRIBLE.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Krys G.Cypress, TX02Apr 27, 2012
I haven't had a bad experience yet, and I think I have gone 3 times. It's not a high-end shop, but it is clean and decently priced when they have specials. I would never pay full price though.. if I were going to do that I would go on to a higher end place!

Interesting review above about the Groupon coupons. I tried to redeem a groupon coupon but as I was going abroad asked if they would honor beyond the expiry date as I was making the reservation well before the expiry date. I know that other businesses do accept this. Unfortunately the response was negative and totally intransigent. Evidently not greatly concerned about positive returns, which is generally the point of Groupons for business. I was also rather unimpressed that after saying my three letter name and spelling it phonetically twice, it was still relayed back to me wrongly. Customer-focused? I guess not.

If I could give them no star I would. Many years ago I used to go there and they always did hokey things with the bill and I also paid more than even there price list stated for the mani/pedi or any other service. So I stopped going. I know received a use a specific day Groupon for Saturday. Called and not only was the girl rude but then proceeded to tell me it doesn't work on Weekends and that I should purchase there mani/pedi weekend special for $45.00. Can you believe the audacity? She continued arguing with me and when I tried to explain that the Groupon date states its only good for Saturday she continued to argue with me that I can not use it on this date. Julie is the owner and I told her that I would call to speak to her but miracilously she's never available. I am requesting my money back from Groupon and reporting this business to Groupon and a complaint to the BBB. Do yourself a big favor and don't bother going to this business. They know nothing about customer service.

So the first time I cam to this place I was AMAZED at how nice it was!!! it didn't smell like a traditional nail place and looked super clean! I went in for an eyebrow and lip wax, and the woman who helped me was very professional, listened to my requests, and spoke with me in perfect english. When I left, the price was right and I looked great, not to mention I had no risidual redness or swelling, so I was so excited to find this place.
When I went back the next month, TOTALLY different experiance. This time I went in for the same thing and an older asian woman led me back to the room. Then she brought in a girl who looked to be about 13 years old and proceeded to have a conversation with her in their native language. The little girl then asked me if I had sinsitive skin and said she was going to give me the sinsitive skin wax, which I had never heard of. She coated one eyebrow in a heavy wax, then the other. She and the older lady continued to have a nice conversation with lots of laughs in their own language as I became more and more uneasy about the fact that she hadn't done anything but cover my face in thick wax. She then moved on to my lip and covered it too!! Nothing had been pulled at this point, but when i asked her if she was going to finish my eyebrows first, they just ignored me and kept chatting. After coating almost my whole face in wax, the little girl then proceeded to very slowly and VERY painfully pick off the wax with her fingers and tweezers, causing my eyes to well with tears. She removed all the wax on my face this way first (she actually pulled up a chunk of skin off my upper lip that looked like a burn for days) before going back to clean anything up. I can only guess that the wax was inifective because she then plucked away on my eyebrows and lip for what felt like forever before finally using a side razor to clean it up. This entire process from start to finish probably took about 45 minutes and when I was finally done, I couldn't even tell how my eyebrows looked my skin was so swollen. I was so upset I paid and ran out of there and haven't had my face waxed since.
I worked up the nerve to go back to the salon today and finally give them a third shot to make up for the last experiance. i still feel so traumatized by it, I just sat in my car out front for ten minutes telling myself it would be fine. When I finally walked inside, there at the front counter was the older asian lady, and the little girl came bounding from the backroom area. I just stammered that today wasn't a good day and walked right back out. I will never come here again, and if you go, stay away from the "mom/daughter" duo!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
