Paintzen - New York

Love these guys for a few reasons:

1.) Very fair and competitive pricing
2.) Super easy to schedule and work with
3.) Excellent customer service. Had an issue with a paint color and they took care of it. Hard pressed these days to find a contractor who provides this level of customer service. Justin, Meaghan and Dikua were all fantastic in taking care of any issues we had.

The finished product was great and will absolutely use them for my next painting job.

They are very unorganized. I was really impressed with the first person that gave me the price and scheduled the appointment. after that it was a bit messy, they assigned a nice project manager but forgot to tell me that he would be away while my job was being done. From there another woman called me to tell me that the painters were on the way and then the painters never showed up.... after I sat waiting for three hours. They had another crew show up the next day but the crew had no idea that they were supposed to be skimcoating my walls before they painted. Thankfully I was there to tell them. The paint job and skimcoating turned out well however the crew left my apartment a mess with paint splashes everywhere. They also never followed up with me to see how everything was... for all the people that work there you think they would. Again, they did a nice job but I wouldn't use them again. Way too unorganized, not personal, and expensive.

My husband found Paintzen online, they gave us a competitive quote and had great customer service. Paintzen sent Gino of Paintpro Interiors to paint our new apartment. It was a cold snowy miserable day and sadly for Gino, I was working from home. He's a pro, he did a great job and is a super nice interesting guy. It was a pleasure.

If you are looking for great quality painting at a fair/competitive price, I highly recommend Paintzen and Gino . You will not be disappointed.

The painters were on time, fast, efficient and left us with beautifully painted walls. High attention to detail left us with almost no stray paint marks. And, they used well under the estimated amount of paint, so we didn't have to buy extra part way through. It was really easy to schedule this paint job and it was the best deal we could find. I would use Paintzen again!

We used Paintzen to paint a very small nursery.

First of all, the customer service was great. I worked with Alexa to pick out a paint color and to schedule the job, and she was very courteous, attentive, enthusiastic, and responsive. Big fan of Alexa.

The night before the paint job, our painter called my cell phone at 10:30pm. He was rambling on and asking if he could come a little earlier than scheduled. I was awake when he called, but really? Why are you calling me at 10:30pm? A little weird...

The morning of the paint job was a serious disaster. Prior to that day, I had worked out with Alexa (and paid a good amount for) masonite that would be put down in the hallway from the elevators to my apartment door. It was silly, I know, but my building required that it be done.

Maybe this should be a review from whatever store Paintzen ordered the masonite from, but... The painter got here before the masonite arrived and came upstairs anyway. Then my doorbell rang later and it was some guy there to deliver the masonite who was, no joke, yelling at me (7 months pregnant, home by myself) at my door about not knowing what to do with the masonite. I was flabbergasted, almost in tears, and he just kept yelling. Thank goodness the painter went outside in the hallway to talk to him.

I can't even get more into the back and forth phone calls with Paintzen and the confusion surrounding the masonite, even though it had seemed like they had done this before. It was an absolute nightmare.

Much later, when the painter told me the job was done, I took a look and saw that his painting tape had ripped off the already-there white paint around the border of sliding doors in the wall. It was VERY obvious and looked horrible. Was he not planning to tell me this? Was he hoping I just wouldn't notice because I was a stupid girl? I pointed it out and he complained that he didn't have any white paint to fix it. He reluctantly agreed to walk down the street to get some. Then he came back to fix it.

Once the job was finally done, I was just so happy to have the painter leave so I took a quick look and let him go. After he left, I realized it was kind of a mess. The paint itself looked nice, but there was light blue paint all over the floor of the nursery, and painting tape left in various places high up on the wall. I had read all these reviews on Yelp saying that the painters left the place spotless, so I was confused. I called Paintzen and the painter did come back, around 8pm on a Friday night (kind of ruining our Friday night) and cleaned up the floor.

We still do find paint here and there on the floor and on the radiator, but what can you do?

I wish I was happier with Paintzen. I booked them after seeing all the great reviews here, so I imagine I just had a fluke experience. I'm not very high maintenance, but the day was just an all-around uncomfortable hassle. I waited over a month to write this review so I didn't write it while I was angry, but I'm still pretty annoyed.

Again, the final paint job looks nice, and Alexa was great to deal with. But, in retrospect, I wish I had used some other recommendations I had received.

Paintzen was great. I can't say enough about this company. The guys did a great paint job and they were so neat. The paint was top quality and they actually finished the job early.

I would recommend them highly. John Hermann was great to work with.

If you are looking for a service that does everything for you efficiently...Paintzen is a service that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I was searching for painters and I came across them online. It was a great online experience, I received a quote and got a call back the same day. I was also able to arrange my painting in the same week, with no problems.

My painter was wonderful, he was nice, considerate of my space and worked really quickly. But more importantly he was an EXPERT PAINTER. So I really appreciate that he loved his job and the company he works for.

So just try the service...you'll be glad that your price will be reasonable and is inclusive of the paint plus the tip.

Just got my bedroom painted by Jason and Scott from Paintzen. They were friendly, professional, and efficient. They did a great job and will definitely be using them for the rest of my apartment. I scheduled this the day before and was nervous how it would play out. They got here right on time and finished ahead of schedule. So impressed! Highly recommend using Paintzen and ask for Jason and Scott!

Easy, fairly-priced, exceptionally friendly service. Gio painted a huge hallway and was just a pleasure to work with. Prompt, efficient, friendly - I like him right off the bat. He left everything spotless when he packed up.

With previous paint co's, it took forever to actually get an in-person quote and setup service. I called Paintzen on Tues, they had a rep visit Wed morning, and the hallway was painted Saturday morning.

I can also tell Gio really loves his work and Paintzen -- they seem to take very good care of their employees. This part alone, is very important to me.
