Pizza was alright.
Service was subpar, it took about 15 minutes after being seated for someone to even acknowledge we were sitting and take drink orders, meanwhile all of the employees were eating in the back corner.
Will not be returning.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Darryl D.Chicago, IL01Apr 5, 2024

We have ordered from this place through doordash but this is the first time we dined in. The ambiance was cool and suitable for groups. We ordered Dragon Fries and Onion rings for starters, one Chicago deep dish pizza (customised with veggie toppings) and one meat pizza. Everything we ordered was good. The deep dish pizza was really enjoyable as it had perfect amount of sauce and cheese to my taste. The service was also relatively quick. I would recommend this place for dinner and deep dish pizza.

(Mar7,2024)I am a very picky vegetarian-to-vegan with food, so when it comes to days that I do want a bit of cheese or milk I get very specific. And Monday I wanted flatcrust style classic pizza.
Although I am a stickler for perfection when it comes to the classic authentic(doublecrust/artisanegglessVegetarianmilkBreadBakersstyle)StuffedChicagoStyleStuffedGiordano'sTypePizza (Think stuffed pizza made with a delicious thick baguetteFlour or wonderbreadTypeFlour style dough), however When it comes to the everyday traditional 18inch CrackerCrust/Flatcrust Style Pizza, while i DO require artisan deliciousness,
I am more open to trying different bakeries and restaurants. It was a buy one get one free day offer, for about $36us (which made it around $18dollars per pie) so I was very enthusiastic as the prices go up a bit near the downtownCitycenter as opposed to being farther south near EvergreenPark for the same flatcrust style pizza (I am still eating mine, by the way). SO they arrived in a very timely manner. The style of Paisans is more along the lines of a ArtisanthinCrust/extra-thin as oposed to regular(kindofmediumThickbutthin) flatCrust Pizza, but I am a fan of both, as well as my favorite -(the colossalStuffedChicagoStyle Giordano'sStuffedStylewiththeDoubleCrust-which as per management and corporate, btw, youCAN still get by request) but I did note that, unfortunately one pizza was definitely NOT as fresh as the other. One pizza was super fresh baked, right out of the oven, but the other was a bit like it had been re-warmed after a long day, and maybe they had a lot of orders, so the extra pie was used to cut time/and corners... But/so while I do think the cheese was nice, the sauce was good, the fresh pie had a crisp thin crust, but if you are a typical flat pizza lover, unless you specify ThinCrust, you will expect the more typical mediumthickbutthinflatcrust, like you find in MidtownManhattan Pizza Slices shoppes, so just a note as I do actually like regular flat crust and extraThin versions from time to time.. However, the older pizza had a slightly doughy/notcrisp texture in contrast to the more fresh one, so not so much in terms of consistency, as if the flatcrust pizza is only a few hours old, there should still be a little oomph to the crust regardless of whether you warm it up or not. And as is my(jj/aL) motto I must deduct a few points for everything inconsistent with a food type review. So for the one pizza I would still give it a solid C, but the other not so much, however the fresh pizza was worth a possible re-visit in the future (but I will make sure it's buyOnegetOne freePizza day, so I won't be too disappointed if there is no uniforme change in the prep process that led to one pie being okay and the other being really about me being too stubborn to throw out) However, I will say that typical of flatcrust pizza it does actually taste better next day, so there is that element also. And so that being said, I am still going to give it a C, or 3Stars! with the note of how awesomely quick they were with delivery in under an hour, despite possible downtown traffic concerns. But with room for improvement.. but that being said, : SO, yeah, Paisans is s'ok.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jill A.Chicago, IL1455Nov 12, 2023
My husband and I came here on a Sunday afternoon. We live very close but had never tried it, so we gave it a go. Service was friendly and attentive but the pizza was just OK. The tomato sauce was very sweet and we tried an extra thin crust that was just thin, but not crispy, and it really couldn't hold up to the excessive amount of cheese on the pizza. The sausage was good. They did give us the toppings we asked for--garlic, basil, and sausage, but the overall pizza was meh.
The decor is very industrial. I joked that the place should be called "Pizza Dungeon," as that's what it reminded me of. My husband said "It feels very suburban chain." The music was repetitive "ooonce, ooonce" club jams, which felt out of place on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. Oddly, there was one country song in the mix and then it went back to the heavy club beats. Wait time for the pizza was pretty long.
I ordered two glasses of wine and there was an onslaught of fruit flies around my glass the whole time, so that doesn't say much for the overall cleanliness. We were the only customers in the place for quite a while, and we wouldn't go back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 14, 2023
Went here with a group of 17 other coworkers. They serve family style for larger groups. While the servers were short staffed, they did everything they could to accommodate our large group and were timely in bringing food out. We did end up just going to the bar to order additional drinks. Pizza was decent, but we all loved the bruschetta appetizer.

We ordered two 12" pizzas, one cheese, one veggie. The cheese and toppings seemed fresh, but the crust was a disappointment. The crusts were not hand tossed, but were identical in shape (perfect circles), size and thickness, with uniform edges. They tasted like crusts found on cheap frozen pizzas. They were obviously commercially made. Sure not worth the $47.00 charge.

Ate at paisans on a Monday afternoon and it was fairly empty but the food was good! We ordered a medium pepperoni pizza extra thin to share and it was just enough for two people. We sat outside while it's still nice out and our server was attentive. They also have happy hour specials which looked great!
