Called Pioneer Plumbers to come and fix my faucet and unclog the drain in my apartment. They were very professional and came on time. My kitchen faucet hot water had very low to no pressure. I had the plumber come over to clear the build up in the pipes. He also unclogged the bathroom sink for me. As well, I had him look at my garburator. My garburator had a small crack on the side and it worried me a bit. The plumber said it is just the outside but the inside is still working fine. So there is no need to replace it yet.

The plumber was very professional and he did not charge extra to having to come downtown.

Estimator is no show at appointment; instead customer receives call demanding payment before they will even look at job.

I made an appointment for an estimate from this company for a repair job. However, at the appointed time, instead of a visit from an estimator, I got a call from the receptionist advising me that they would only attend the appointment as a payed call billed at regular rates. In other words, I would have to pay them to come and estimate the job. The one bid I have solicited from another company came in at about $5000. I find it outrageous that they would expect to be paid to make an estimate, never mind that I took the time out of my day and made the effort to be here at the appointed time (11am) and they did not even show up, just gave me the phone call telling me I had to pay them even look at the job.

Skilled, knowledgeable, efficient and friendly Technicians; replaced leaky bathroom shut off valve, examined (and determined to be fine) our furnace condensation pump and installed a Honeywell T6 smart thermostat. Pleased with the service BUT extremely shocked and very disappointed in the 200%+ mark-up on the materials, specifically the T6 thermostat (Best Buy $188 verses Pioneer $620). Have since been offered a 10% credit (of our current total bill) on our next service need.

Pioneer plumbing came to my house to replace a water pressure valve and to install a new toilet. I asked the plumber to install a mid-price toilet and specified I wanted one with the straight wall at the bottom for easier cleaning. The plumber said he would bring an American Standard toilet which he recommended as reliable but not overly expensive. I was charged a total of $693.22 (not including tax) for the toilet with the following breakdown - Bowl, $288.77, Tank, $260.68, seat, $63 and miscellaneous parts, $80.77. I contacted Pioneer several times about this. I have never heard of a toilet being separated into three parts. This is not how toilets are sold. This particular toilet lists for $299 on Home Depot. I understand that Pioneer would have a mark-up but a mark-up of over 100% is not only unreasonable but downright dishonest. On top of everything else, the toilet installed was not what I had asked for. Instead I got the style that has the indentations on the bottom part. When I mentioned this to them, the answer I got is that there is no paper trail of me asking for a specific design and therefore they cannot change the toilet! That is not my fault but the fault of the plumber. Pioneer has basically ignored the problem. I specified that I would like to resolve this issue between us but the lack of understanding and customer service, has prompted me to write this review

Incompetent contractor. My gutter downspouts are blocked cracking my foundation. They were referred to me by another contractor. The plumber did 3 hours of work and agreed he is charging for 3 hrs, but actually charged 4 hours. When he left, no difference was made. The drains were still blocked. He simply said he can't fix it, along with suggested solution for a 2nd visit: digging them up 2-3 feet deep. I sent them surveillance video documenting the time of their service. The supervisor refunded me one hour they wrongfully charged but didn't refund the tax on it.

I hired someone else who cleared the drain a week later. Pioneers suggestions were wrong and useless. It did not even help my 2nd contractor. Unlike what pioneer said, the drains were 7 ft deep. They didn't even bother to open up the sand well to check the depth.

I already told them my drain is blocked, and they left telling me it's blocked. After close to a grand in cost, nothing was resolved! I asked for a refund, but I didn't hear anything back from them. It feels like a scam. They are not competent for the job. Avoid at all cost!

If I could select negative stars, I would. They took money for a Job Not Done

I was having trouble finding someone to service my HRV. It is installed in my attic and difficult to get too. One plumber from another company came but he was too big and he had a bad back so he could not service it. I don't know why I did not think of Pioneer Plumbing sooner. They have people answering the phone even at 9 pm and a lot of professionals on staff so they could schedule someone on the skinnier side for my job. I scheduled an appointment for when I was available a few days later. Kory came during the scheduled time and contacted me to let me know when he was arriving. He fixed the problem (when installed 14 years ago the HRV drain was never connected). He also cleaned the filter. I also had an unusual drain hole in my storm water sump and Kory patched that too. Price was reasonable and I would definitely think of Pioneer right away next time I need a plumber or AC tech. My experience with Pioneer was great and I am a satisfied customer

My experience we terrible. The technician seemed unqualified and unprofessional ( asking us personal questions ) ... took two days to finally tell us he need more parts and we could not get hot water over the weekend. He did this via text at 5 pm on a Friday after promising us 4 times it would be fixed. When we got upset , the company claimed abuse and walked away from the job. In their words it was OUR fault. Oh and they said they were billing us ! ‍

Kody came to fix out air exchange which was leaking in the attic. He was on time, was thorough and cleaned up the insulation from the attic that fell to the floor.
I would definitely use Pioneer Plumbing again.

Had problems with my Laundry Drainage backing up, Tyler the plumbing tech call 15 mins ahead, showed up on time for 0800 service call, assess the Laundry drainage problem, fix the problem. Then did camera inspection of the drainage to the city, much sludge build up in the drainage, ran drain cleaning machine help clear up sludge, then ran again with hot water running, cleared drainage no sludge. Tyler was well mannered, efficient and gave good plumbing advice to keep drainage clear. I would call Pioneer for my future plumbing needs.
