I've only been to the location downtown Santa Barbara, not sure if it's still there? They were always friendly and efficient. They have fixed several pairs of shoes for me- with new soles or cleaning up a pair of heels to make them look almost like brand new! The service is great as well as their prices.

i bought a pair of leather Frye boots over a decade ago.
i have never in my life had a pair of shoes that immediately fit my feet so perfectly.

these were my first pair of boots and really defined an incredible part of my life.
during that decade i changed jobs and ended up traveling around the world.
these shoes got worn from india to china to australia.
so much so that the soles broke completely in half!!

i was sad to see them go but not knowing much about shoe repair (or that
it even existed!) i moved on to other boots. they were great but it was
never the same. i kept my broken Frye boots because of my history that i could
feel in all the cracks and wrinkles in them.

a friend told me i should try to have them repaired and i took them to a highly
recommended place in Los Angeles. they looked at these beaten shoes and
told me they weren't worth their time.

and still i kept them.

more years passed and i find myself living in Ojai with a new
job on the horizon. this time in africa!

i figured it was worth a shot to see if i could find a place up here that
would fix them. and that leads me to pop's repair. i did a yelp search
and found them.

i dropped the boots off at the ventura persnickity cleaners who in turn had them sent to pop's in camarillo. a few days passed and then i got a call from pop's repair asking how badly i wanted these boots fixed. i started to laugh because they
could tell there was a deep friendship between me and these shoes.
they warned me that the cost for new soles and heels would be above
their normal fee and be around $80.

i couldn't believe how cheap that was to have the best shoes i've ever had returned to me!!

and in 4 days they were done. i've been wearing them constantly for about
a month and they are perfect.

i can't recommend pop's high enough!! my boots and are i ready to embark on
a new journey! :)
