I have come here for years and they have the under 15 minutes late like every provider. I made an appointment yesterday and told them I was scheduling around my mom's broken hip physical therapy. Was never told any policy changed. Called in today that I was running late and that I would be there and they said as long as it's under 15 minutes it's okay and I can be seen today and didn't have to reschedule. So I drive 27 minutes there and am under the 15 minute mark and the receptionist acts ridiculous and says I'm not allowed to be late at all and there is a new policy that I was never informed of. Says the provider is mad and won't take me unless there is a cancellation after I am in the waiting room. So now I have to wait here indefinitely when I let them know twice about the situation and was told to come here.

All of the staff at the Dublin Office were amazing. While pregnant, I was going once a week sometimes and they became like family! So warm and welcoming. Dr Schueler delivered our baby and she is PHENOMENAL!!

I delivered through Professionals for Women's Health and really really wish I had a better experience. Now, I will say that I really wanted an unmedicated birth and was more opinionated about my birth experience than many - but that is also why I think it's important to share this experience and why I would NOT recommend them for someone who is looking for an empowered birth experience.
They have midwives on staff and some are amazing, but others are not. You see different midwives and doctors for different appointments, which led to inconsistent care in my opinion. There were several times where I received conflicting recommendations based on who I saw.
While you can request to see certain midwives for appointments (I found one I loved and requested her each time) you cannot choose who comes to your delivery. The only reason I am giving them two stars is because of the one midwife who genuinely advocated for me (she made it possible for me to have a doula during the pandemic, something that I will always be grateful to her for)- but I still had an (in my opinion, unnecessarily) dramatic delivery experience.
I was late and at 41 weeks had an ultrasound with Dr Kevin Hackett. He immediately pushed me towards an induction and was extremely condescending towards any questions I asked about the decision (which was a huge adjustment from my birth preferences). He seemed genuinely offended that I didn't blindly follow all of his recommendations and honestly made me feel like a bad mom. He made several comments against the midwives I had seen previously and it left me feeling conflicted and defeated. At one point he said he couldn't believe I would "back myself in a corner" looking for an unmedicated birth.
I was very okay being induced, if medically necessary. My issue was the condescending tone and how it was not a conversation - it was a demand. It is everything that an empowered birth experience is NOT. My hope is that sharing this alone will give one pregnant woman a more empowered experience by steering her from Dr Hackett.
After being induced, I had a long labor and unfortunately reached 10 cm at shift change. I'm not totally sure what happened, but what I do know is that I was ready to push and had to wait over an hour for the new midwife to arrive at the hospital. Once we were delivering, the midwife seemed incredibly distracted, chatting with everyone else around her and went so far to mess up my stitches and have to redo them, which I genuinely think was because she was chatting with everyone else around her (about things other than my delivery). Thank goodness I had a doula with me because she gave me 10x more information about postpartum care than any one at professionals did.
There is a lot going on behind the scenes, but my experiences led me to think many decisions were made for me based on what is convenient for them.
If you are having a baby and are looking for an empowered and/or unmedicated birth - I would NOT recommend Professionals. There are some great midwives at the practice for sure, and it makes me sad to write this review because I really like and admire them, but because of their setup you have no guarantee of who you will get nor of your experience. My hope is to share my experience to help clarify how they work and help one woman have the experience she is looking for!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

We are very sorry to hear that your recent experience was not what you had expected. There are many variables that come into play during each and every pregnancy and labor. As you are aware, there are several providers in our office and it is nearly impossible to guarantee who will be available for your delivery. However, all of the providers are on the same page when it comes to your care. All of the providers follow the same nationally recognized recommendations for OB care. Ultimately, you and your baby's well being are of our utmost concern and we make decisions about your care based on that as well as recommended practice in obstetrics. Many times what is recommended in obstetrical management does not follow a patient's expected birth plan and that is due to changes in maternal or fetal status. While our practice embraces and supports a patient's right to request a specific birth plan be followed, the patient should also understand that these plans have to remain somewhat flexible depending on maternal and/or fetal changes. Our goal is always to have a healthy mom and healthy baby.

This place is amazing. i got a routine pap smear and my second mammogram here - everyone was really kind and the atmosphere was really relaxing, but also very quick to be seen and organized. There are a lot of different doctors here but everyone seemed to know exactly what to do - that seemed like a good thing. The amazing thing was their mammogram machine! My first mammogram was extremely painful and i'd decided never to do that again - but this one was a 3-d machine - it gave better images, yet was completely comfortable!!! for that reason alone i would always come back here. They have changed my mind about getting a mammogram - What a wonderful place!!!

I'm blown away by the negative experiences other Yelpers had! I absolutely love everything about this office. I've never once had a bad experience and was always treated with care and respect.
I have a beautiful 10 week old daughter and PFWH were my providers through the entire duration of my pregnancy. They even did my IUI procedure.
I absolutely loved my midwife. I had the most amazing experience with all of their staff. I recently moved across the state and I'm still thinking about staying their patient, even if I'm an hour an a half away.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I have been coming to Professionals for Women's Health since 2014 when I found out that I was pregnant! With the exception of one doctor's error (not my regular doctor) near the end of my pregnancy, every experience that I've had in this office has been great! The receptionists are always super nice, the check in process is quick and stress free, the nurses are very friendly, and the doctors are top notch! My go-to person at Professionals is Dr. Abby. She has talked me through postpartum and has been "my person" for my annual appointments for the past couple of years. She addresses any and all of my concerns with such poise and clarity. She's seriously the best as she always ensures that I'm comfortable. If you're like me and not a fan of female doctor visits, this is the place to go!

For the past 4 years, PFWH has been a wonderful health partner to me. My desire for medical professionals to act with kindness, empathy, ease and friendliness have been continually met. Liza Canowitz is who I'm seeing now. She's listened to all my concerns and given many suggestions of avenues to explore. The front office staff makes everything easy and the in-house mammograms save me a separate trip while being comfortable in a familiar space.

Cathy,
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We love when patients give us feedback. We have a new 3D mammogram unit we just installed which will hopefully make your experience even better! We will see you next year! - 12006432230Feb 8, 2017
This is where I go for regular women's health needs as well as OB visits now that I'm pregnant. I have always been impressed with the staff and doctors here. They are friendly and professional. This office has MDs, and CNMs, which makes it well-rounded, in my opinion.
They are very flexible in making appointments that meet my scheduling needs, although I don't always see the same practitioners. They work with 5 area hospitals for labor and delivery. They also have CNMs on call over the weekend to handle minor concerns and/or procedures. This is really a top-notch facility.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Angela P.Galloway, OH2731Mar 27, 2019
BILLING nightmare!!! I wish I could continue to be employed if I were as incompetent as their staff. One would think insurance would be contacted much sooner than 6 months after service. I can't wait to pay thousands for services that would have been covered had anyone bothered to work in a timely manner.
The average 3 minutes they spend in the room with me before rushing me out of the office is in no way worth the rates I am being charged due to their lack of commitment.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chanita C.Lewis Center, OH491Oct 10, 2020
My last couple of visits have been horrible. The doctor seems like she is in a rush and overbooked. She took no time to explain to me what she was doing or to ask if I had questions. And even when I was in visible pain, she did not stop to ask if I was okay or needed to take a short break. Although the office is in a nice building and it is convenient to get too, I will not be going back.
