After showing the results of my ultrasound confirming a 2cm cyst on my left ovary, Dr. Amy Rahl told me I "couldn't possibly be feeling pain" from a cyst that size (over half the size of the actual ovary. She then told me it was likely constipation and told me to take a fiber supplement. When I asked why I was in excruciating pain every month on the first two days of my period, she simply said "I don't know."

If you want you pain dismissed and get advise for something that has nothing to do with what you're feeling, by all means, schedule an appointment!

I didn't like this office nearly as much as the Jasonway location. I had to go here due to a scheduling issue, but I definitely prefer the other office I normally go to.

This place was just older and colder. The walls were scuffed up, and the decor had an old look to it. Also the exam room was freezing. Not great for a place where most visits require you to undress.

That being said, I still received the same great care I'm accustomed to at the other location, so it's still four stars for me.

The staff was rude and violated hippa laws. Then when I mentioned my discomfort, they were careless and dismissive. I left the office. And they called to ask why? When I told them I was uncomfortable, they kept calling to harass me. DONT SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT HERE!!!!

I went here first for my normal yearly paps and then when I got pregnant the first time.

The place is actually very unprofessional. The front staff was rude. The Dr's or midwives don't introduce themselves. They have several doctors and midwives, and when they would come in they wouldn't introduce themselves. I actually had to ask one of the midwives who she was when she came in as I was confused as I with a nurse at first, who I thought was the midwife. You don't feel like they actually care about you.

Dr. Rahl is in and out in about 60 seconds flat and if you have any questions you better get them out quick. Dr. Moulton takes offense if you ask for something specific, like a HCG test, and says she was just about to suggest it.

When I had my miscarriage I did not get offered options, was only told I had to get a D&C. At the time I was naive, and not aware there were other options. And the Dr's don't read charts because when I went in after complications, the Dr I saw thought it was just a general follow up after the surgery, and I had to explain to her my complications. Ridiculous.

They also don't test your urine while pregnant, which I did not know was so important.

I will never go back. I switched after that first miscarriage and go to Westar OB and couldn't be happier.

Been going here for several years, I would only see Christina Diperro for my annuals. I got pregnant 6 months ago and have seen several different doctors.. none of which have been the one doctor I have requested.

The front staff is rude. Being a FTM I have question (could be stupid questions) but I would like respect and answers. Front staff won't let you talk to a nurse if they don't feel your concern is worthy enough.

No one is talking birth plans with me.. it's one way or no way. I have the right to know my all my options.

I will not be going back here for my second child or even for my annuals. I can't wait to switch.

      First to Review

I originally had an excellent gynecologist/obstetrician before selecting this office. However, my previous doctor did not deliver at the hospital I live near so I switched to this practice. While being with The Professionals of Women's Health I mainly visited the Westerville location but also had several appointments at the Jasonway location. The practice seemed like a good fit at first. Everyone was so nice & it started off promising in the beginning. Where to start?

      * If you want a patient relationship with your provider don't come this this practice.
You will get multiple providers. Even if you try your hardest to see the same nurse practitioner (NP) or doctor you will have to bend your life around their schedule or drive to a different location to see who you want to see.

      * You have a chance of not meeting or barely knowing the person that will deliver your baby. Like I mentioned there is a lot of NP's & doctors at this practice. Whoever is on their rotation/on call at the hospital from this practice will deliver your precious little one.

      * The office charges a $25 fee for FMLA (paperwork you must have filled out for your employer to get your maternity leave approved). There are no free samples, welcome to this office/baby goody bag for new patients. The waiting room is sparse of magazines. There is not a play section for the kids (Westerville & Jasonway). No education pamphlets or a television with educational facts. For you lovely new pregnant ladies you will get a packet of black/white copied paperwork with education once you take them as your obstetrician. There is however, a website with education & information.

      * Awkwardness. Your first appointment the receptionist will go over your insurance & global fee while you stand in the lobby. My husband attended a few appointments with me. He was never acknowledged or greeted by the staff.

      * Too often I got the impression the providers were rushed & stressed.
You may not get much empathy at this practice. If you ask too many questions, ask something unfamiliar to them or if they do not agree with you their responses get short and defensive. One thing I really hate is "being talked down too" & this happened several times.

      * If you have extra testing the staff may talk to you in abbreviations or medical jargon in person or over the phone. The receptionist left a message in jargon about a extra test they wanted me to do. I had my husband listen to a message, he had not clue what they were talking about. Another time an assistant kept using the abbreviation "NST" but when I asked for what it stood for she clearly did not know and tired to deflect the question.

      * Last but least, I felt pressured to do things I didn't want to do. I specifically stated as a new patient I did not want to do unnecessary testing and wanted to keep my pregnancy as low stress as possible. I was labeled as a "difficult" late in my second trimester once I declined non-fetal stress testing. I stated several times I would sign paperwork declining additional testing but I was badgered every appointment until I finally consented. Maybe it had to do with the fact I had excellent insurance. If the insurance is paying, we are going to do it, kind of mentality of the office.

My 6 week postnatal checkup will be the last time I go to this practice. There are plenty of good offices else where.

If I could give this practice zero stars I would. Kathy who works in the office dropped the ball during my pregnancy and it took almost 6 weeks to get in for my glucose test which showed I was, in fact, gestational diabetic.

After my daughter was born I had a tubal in January of 2018. Dr. Buell botched my tubal. (PM me, I will gladly share the pictures to prove it. The clamp wasn't placed all the way across my tube.) As a result I was pregnant less than 3 months later and had to undergo both a surgical abortion and a bilateral salpingectomy leaving me with additional scars.

To top it off, I was on Medicaid at the time because I had no income due to being off work from surgery and they had the audacity to send me a bill when Medicaid denied them which legally they're not allowed to do. I'll be damned either way if I'm paying a bill to someone whose mistake is the entire reason I'm there in the first place!

      DO NOT GO HERE.

I never actually made it to their offices. I was experiencing some issues of a feminine nature and after talking to my Primary realized I needed to see a specialist, they were not alarmed by my symptoms. I was given a referral to 2 offices near my home. I called this group first. My first contact with their office was while trying to schedule my first appointment. After I answered a few questions ( the same conversation I'd had with my primary Dr.'s office) she said I needed to go to the ER immediately and they would not see me until I was released by them... so I already knew I had an issue but didn't believe it to be "life threatening" I tried to talk with her a little more about my symptoms but she was adamant that I couldn't schedule an appointment to be seen or speak to a nurse practitioner until I was assessed by the ER. Soooo I went, I still haven't gotten all the bills yet, it will be close to $1000 bucks I'm sure. Once I was seen by the ER Dr. and told my situation was no where near life threatening, we discussed what needed to be happening in future to warrant a return visit for my current ongoing issue. What the ER considers an emergency was about double what I was experiencing and what I had told the lady at Professional Womens Health. After being released, I called them back to let them know how far off their idea of an emergency was based on what the ER said and they might want to update their protocol because I'm out a lot of money due to their protocol being so far off from what is a true ER issue. She was so adamant that the discrepancy was a non issue. Anyway I'm not using this office. If just getting an appointment is this hard I can't imagine trying to work through a problem or trusting them with any aspect of my health and wellness. I did call the 2nd referral and wish I had done so earlier.

They gave me the run around after having my records sent to them while pregnant and totally wasted my time and put me at risk not having any care. First they said I was too far along so they couldn't schedule me without record I had been somewhere else (which is absurd and it was 3 months along at the time but ok. Then when they got my records they denied me as a patient since I didn't want a pap smear while pregnant at the other place. Doesn't sound patient centered and tbh I'm furious to be pregnant without care now.
