Providence Medical Institute - Torrance OB-GYN

This has been my gynecologist office for a few years now and let me say I stayed because I've been treated very nice from all the Drs here. So this review is for the Drs I mainly see Dr Denebiem and Dr Medina. They're both very caring and listen to any concerns that I have.
I was about to move to the Mission Viejo location to have my baby at that Providence but I stayed with this office instead and Wendy Medina delivered my baby.
She was excellent I'm so happy she delivered my healthy baby boy.
The front desk has been nice to me as well no one has been rude I have been a few times late and they've rescheduled for a later time that same day. They have a grace period for 10mins but if you are going to be later than that they will reschedule.
Overall my experience has been good!!

I had an appointment in July which was cancelled for some unknown reason. I asked for another appointment and I was given one for June 2024 the following year! My former OB/GYN was wonderful, and I miss him but I wonder about Providence who took over his office and staffs the office, and does the appointments because it's impossible to get an appointment! I expected to be seen the same year as my original appointment but that didn't happen. We'll see what happens in June!

Couldn't have asked for better care or treatment for my prenatal care and delivery. This was my third baby but first time with this clinic. It was by far my best experience from office staff to amazing obgyns.

Love Dr. Denebiem! My c seaction looks great and had a fast recovery. She's also very attentive and knowledgeable. Shes amazing:)

Everyone is the office is so friendly and warm. I had something going on and showed up and they fit me and even when I apologized they said no need and welcomed me in and made me comfortable. The Dr's I've seen have both been very knowledgeable and thorough.

This review is for how this clinic is managed. The physicians are by and large great, however the office is in disarray. When my wife's water broke we were on hold for 45 minutes. We ended up driving to the hospital without any ability to contact anyone. Postpartum, we have been on hold for in excess of an hour multiple times for follow up issues. You can't just rely on 911 for pressing medical issues. Employ more call center people and figure it out, because the current standard is terrible

Make sure you don't get charged twice.
My wife visited this office for her Women's wellness visit for two years and first visit for pregnancy. They claimed thru insurance and I checked they got the money from the insurance website claims. Later, they sent a bill to me again as self-pay uninsured.

Have been going to this doctor though my whole pregnancy. Every appointment scheduled I was there on time and still had to wait 30 sometimes 50 minutes to see a doctor (while pregnant).
The one time I'm running 10 minutes behind (BECAUSE I HAVE A NEWBORN AT HOME) they tell me they don't have a grace period and that the doctor wouldn't see me.
This was so inconsiderate and the front desk staff was so rude about it.
I'm never coming back to this place again.

Dr cindy tsai is the best. If i can only see her every time i have an appt. she's always responding to my messages (mychart app).
One of the Office staff thou is kinda rude. (The old mexican lady in the back) She doesn't listen. (-1 star because of her)

This review is for the Torrance office. I've been coming here for almost 9 years through multiple pregnancies and each time they have gotten worst and worst. What led me to write a review was how bad I was treated by this office during a time when I really needed help. I had terrible postpartum depression and I was trying to get in touch with my dr., she wasn't available so they made me an appointment with Dr. Jennifer Chu. She basically told me that their office isn't really equipped to handle postpartum depression and to make an appointment with a Dr. I hadn't seen in over a year. That was total BS to me because they give you this whole phony speech about if you need help reach out and when I tried to I got brushed off. Then the rude heavyset Hispanic lady who sits in the back left side of the front office got on the phone and very rudely said if I didn't any other help to not call that office call another Dr. Her tone was terrible especially toward a new mother who is struggling with depression. She really should be fired for that alone. Overall I would avoid this office. There are some good providers like the NO Wendy Hamilton and the lady in the lab Tara but the rest of the staff is very very rude. If you can I would go to the Redondo Beach office with Dr. Sanders and Dr. Denise Ishumar. The entire staff there is really nice and caring.
