The most asked question this time of year is when do we stop the market. The new answer to this question is: Never. We are open outdoors from March 31 to November 19 with live music, hot foods, and more vendors than ever before. We are open from December through February from 3 PM to 6:30PM.

This is a small market, it had 2 bakery, 1 meat 2 veggie and some food options Stalls. The crowd as decent. Surprisingly some stalls did not take card so make sure you have cash. I felt the meat was little on the expensive end. Not much of produce due to starting of winter. But the bread tasted pretty good. There is plenty of parking and nice restaurants in the vicinity so it's nice place for a evening stroll.

This Farmer's market ROCKS..! It's held on Thursday and offers qualities eats like AWESOME authentic. burritos and tacos that would put Chipotle to shame, authentic empanadas, sweet potato pie, almond tartlets and other foodie type treats and gourmet coffee. Lots of fresh veggies, fruits and my favorite guilty pleasure...flowers.
Added bonus is the live "roots" music like the Blues, Country or other down country music. Please note that farmer's market is also embedded in the coolest neighborhood on the planet within waking distance of the Arts District which is also home to Busboys and Poets and Spice 6 to mention a few.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mo O.Hyattsville, MD1411712Aug 3, 2018Updated review
My favorite vendor at this market is Groff's Content Farm -- the meat is phenomenal! There's lots of variety -- pork, beef, chicken, turkey -- but my favorite is the lamb ... the flavor is outstanding. As is standard at farmers markets, all the meat is frozen which ensures that it hasn't sat around but was frozen immediately after it was butchered so it tastes fresh when defrosted. You can also buy chicken eggs and often duck eggs and a variety of prepared foods.
I wish there was a listing of all the vendors at the market so I could give credit to the mushroom vendor and the pizza kit vendor. I bought the pizza kit last week, which for $20 includes 2 pizza dough bases, sauce and cheese. I added a pound of lightly sautéed ground lamb ($11) from Groff's, and portabella mushrooms (4 for $5, I used 1) sliced and sautéed for a few minutes in the pan from the lamb. It took 15 morning minutes to prepare, and 15 minutes to cook and it was the best pizza I've had in ages if I do say so myself! I froze the other one for a fast, delicious dinner on those nights I don't want to cook or go out. $16 per pizza was great value and 2 or slices would satisfy a lumberjack:).
Update: the terrific pizza kits are from Tag Team Kitchen!
Geoff's Content Farm meats are as fabulous as ever, and still my favorite place to buy meat and eggs anywhere else. Check out their web site Groffscontentfarm.com to learn about this Maryland Farm founded 1752!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jan 28, 2018Previous reviewMy favorite vendor at this market is Groff's Content Farm -- the meat is phenomenal! This Thursday farmers' market is close to my school, by the MARC station. It's a busy little market. Good luck finding a parking spot in the tiny lot. I was there around 3:30 and there was a little crowd.
Prices are slightly cheaper than the other farmers' markets I have been to. This one has a slight ethnic twist with vendors selling Caribbean meat pies and Indian food, tomatillos, and okra. There's even homemade ice cream! The bread vendor who is at Takoma Park's market on Sundays is here. And of course there is the usual tomatoes, squash, and baby potatoes. Even vendors selling products such as homemade soaps and lotions.
There's even live music, but they were just setting up when I was here. I plan to frequent this market a lot during the school year. I have no excuse not to since it's right on my way home.
Open May through October.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0Business owner information

Love spending Thursdays here with my family and friends. Kid friendly and as others have said, there is a great vibe.
Pro Tip...bring a blanket and picnic at Calvert Memorial Park above the market when it's warm! It's a great place to let the kids run around.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Herschel S.Greenbelt, MD2716487Jul 29, 2013First to Review
This is a fun and cute farmers market that operates on Thursdays 3-7pm. When most farmers markets operate on the weekends, this one does it on a weeknight. A lot of people come here to eat dinner. There are a couple of vendors that sell cooked food. Live music is also available to entertain you.
This is located near the marc train so the train tracks add to the ambiance. The vendors are also nice. When we visited, we bought Zeke's coffee and the local Maryland wine Elk Run.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lauren N.Washington, DC018Dec 13, 2018
I love this market! It is small but mighty. I love Cat's Paw Organic Farm as well as the fact that the market is year round. I look forward to continuing to be a loyal customer!

This is my favorite farmer's market. It's a great location, great vibe, the right scale, very kid-friendly. Always good live music. Terrific vendor selection without being huge, including first-rate vendors for cut flowers, for soaps, for coffee beans, besides the produce, cider, meats, great crabmeat vendor; and ECO City Farms, local urban farming experts; etc. And an excellent range of prepared foods, including crepes and Indian food, to sit and eat right there. Worth getting on their email list too, as the weekly newsletter is useful and they don't abuse email.
